So I'm a n00b when it comes to etiquette on a forum.
I'm pretty sure about the following unwritten rules:
-DON'T TYPE IN ALL CAPS.
-Don't insult someone just to be ornery.
-Respect everyone's views.
-Don't spam or phish.
I'm not so clear on what the rules are for the following situations:
-I like someone's art and I would like them to draw something for me, but I can't send them money.
-I want people to read and comment on my stories but don't want to be like "LOOK AT ME!! I CAN MAKE WORDS AND STUFF!"
-I've never RPed vore before - how is it done?
-Anything else I haven't covered.
Can someone help me out here please? Thanks!
Vortiquette
Forum rules
Dedicated for the vore artists who have an album in this site, including commission advertisement, one thread per user please.
1a. Each artist should only have one thread for an open offer that has no deadline, and one project offers thread. Every commission / stream opening and closing, New publish for purchase, etc, should just be added to the commission thread.
1b. Likewise. Any other deadline orientated project (for example YCH) please just add to your project thread.
-Doing this mostly to make sure we don't have hundreds of artists making new threads every time for people to wands through.
2. Thread bumping is once a week! That means if you just want to add visibility to your thread, please don't bump it more than once a week.
3. Please link to your commission tab, like one of those here https://aryion.com/g4/commission.list.php
4. If you are hiring someone, use our forum for hiring viewforum.php?f=99
Artists recommendation before accepting commission, check for poster reputation. If they don't seem active, new account etc, You should do the following:
1. NEVER do free spec work without payment first...not even simple "test" sketches.
2. ALWAYS have a clear and detail mutual agreement
3. ALWAYS ask for half payment upfront before you do any work at all
4. NEVER send final artwork until you have received final payment
5. Check #blacklist for information on scam related activity in our artist Discord viewtopic.php?f=99&t=55569

Re: Vortiquette
I can't help you on most, but on bit 1 most artists are likely to accept PMs. Then they can tell you if they are available for unpaid service.

Chrisis is right. It's not impolite to send an artist a polite and sincere PM asking if they're willing to consider unpaid requests. It's good to first check whether they have a stated policy on commissions/requests, but if not, send away... and feel free to compliment them while you're at it, they don't get complimented enough. :3 Just try not to seem like you're just trying to butter them up... okay, enough rambling.
As for wanting comments on your work- well, all you can do is put a note saying you want comments before your piece, then post your work. This isn't so much about YOUR ettiquette as it is about theirs- if they read and appreciate your story, it's only polite and fair to leave comments / criticism afterward. (Though only criticism if the writer doesn't say they don't want that. :3)
As for RPing vore? Well, that's probably a tricker question. I'd love to answer it here, but... "how is it done" is a VERY broad question, and if I tried to write my full answer, it'd take a long time, and I'd probably end up answering 9 questions you don't have along with maybe the 1 that you do. If you can narrow it down, though, I am sure that either myself or someone else will be more than willing to help you with that question.

On the rp front, my first two pieces of advice would be;
-Lurk in the IC chat room whenever you can. There are variations in what people consider "right" but enough observation of different styles (and maybe some politely PM'ed questions) should help you out.
-In the rp rooms, there's a help link at the top, which I believe takes you to some general guidelines and whatnot. That should be of use too.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the help.
Allow me, then, to politely direct any artists who like to do unpaid commissions to the following thread... Make me a character, please! Please!
