Question for Professional Artists?

Dedicated for the vore artists who have an album in this site, including commission advertisement, one thread per user please.

1a. Each artist should only have one thread for an open offer that has no deadline, and one project offers thread. Every commission / stream opening and closing, New publish for purchase, etc, should just be added to the commission thread.

1b. Likewise. Any other deadline orientated project (for example YCH) please just add to your project thread.

-Doing this mostly to make sure we don't have hundreds of artists making new threads every time for people to wands through.

2. Thread bumping is once a week! That means if you just want to add visibility to your thread, please don't bump it more than once a week.

3. Please link to your commission tab, like one of those here https://aryion.com/g4/commission.list.php

4. If you are hiring someone, use our forum for hiring viewforum.php?f=99

Artists recommendation before accepting commission, check for poster reputation. If they don't seem active, new account etc, You should do the following:

1. NEVER do free spec work without payment first...not even simple "test" sketches.
2. ALWAYS have a clear and detail mutual agreement
3. ALWAYS ask for half payment upfront before you do any work at all
4. NEVER send final artwork until you have received final payment
5. Check #blacklist for information on scam related activity in our artist Discord viewtopic.php?f=99&t=55569

Question for Professional Artists?

Postby monstergut » Mon Jan 29, 2018 10:51 am

I would love to post some of my vore/various kink art since I draw quite a bit for myself anyway, but I have this lingering fear that someone will recognize my art style and out me as someone with freaky fetishes, and that it will affect my professional career. I wouldn't want any of my clients or coworkers to associate me with this sort of thing.

I remember when Rebecca Sugar was found out to have drawn Ed, Edd n Eddy smut... I mean, cartoon porn is one thing; vore is an entirely different animal. How do other professional artists on this site handle it? Do you use a different art style?

Any advice would be appreciated!

If you feel there are people you know who are familiar enough with your art style to recognize it, then I'd probably suggest not risking it.

I don't think Rebecca Sugar worked on Ed, Edd, n Eddy, so I assume there was some other link to her drawing porn.

I think it would depend on how identifiable your art style is. It would also probably depend on the subject matter. It's also worth noting that most people outside of this community don't really spend much time browsing the images.

I don't think anyone that uses aryion regularly would be so churlish as to out someone like that, and I doubt it would get spread anywhere if you made it very clear it was to remain here. There are a few artists here that upload onto, saym fur affinity or deviantart, but use different names as they want to keep the vore a secret from their man audience.

Having said that, I'm afraid no one can give you a clear cut answer on what to do, yes there will always be a little risk, but some people think the risk is small enough to chance.

Right now I'm working on vore art exclusively. Before being able to transition into that, I was selling work in a local art gallery and never had any concern about being recognized because I used completely different mediums and subject matter. Oil paintings went out to the public, comics and animations went to vore. Even hypothetically the risk was null. But also, the internet is friggin' huge. Unless you're a seriously prominent artist with a very distinctive style it's not a realistic problem.

> cartoon porn

Cartoon porn and rule34 related material is generally lead to shotacon, lolicon, hentai, yaoi, and yuri. Often times people see it around on a lot of websites. Vore on the other hand, it can be pornographic or not, depending on the type of vore. I depict soul vore in a manner where there's no pornographic situation, so generally I probably do, but can't say for sure.

If you're looking for examples on vore, look to Karbo and nitrotitan's artwork on paheal and sankakucomplex. They can show you a example of professional work. The more well known, the more likely it could help.

if you use a different name, and keep all your pro work and vore work separate, the only way anyone's gonna find you out is if they're regularly browsing vore art, and then outting you would also potentially be outting themselves, right? its all up to your personal comfort, but it seems super unlikely that it would ever come up.

One of the first search results when you google "Chris Sanders art" is a naked girl. He also drew Vampirella apparently.

This man worked for Disney. DISNEY. And he's still allowed to draw sexy art. Let me reiterate what said in my earlier post here: There is no shame in creating erotica.

A wonderful thing honestly, I mean have you seen the way Sanders draws hips? He draws the sexiest hips.

Oh yes, he draws delicious hips *licks lips*
