Eka's Portal

Hello everyone. As many of you know, recently I posted some work that I had mixed feelings about which of course led to polls and things got out of hand. Initially I had contemplated the idea of retirement but after thinking some more I realized that those feelings were a bit too emotional and irrational. So to keep this short, as I too tend to be a little long winded, I have decided to take a break for an indefinite time frame. I will be posting sketches that I owe a few people and maybe some old unreleased stuff to my patreon to keep that going until I have more time to think things through. I did film/edit a new episode of Drunk Gaming and it felt really good. Perhaps I will pursue that for a bit and try to balance my interests. Thank you all who have put up with me and supported me over the years.

Take however long you need, Taito. Your fans and friends will keep the light on for you here, should you ever decide to come back ^_^

Thanks for all the great artwork over the years; it's been a treat, seeing your work. I wish you the best in whatever new projects you decide to tackle.

Thank you everyone. ^_^ I appreciate the comments and the support. I know that I do love to draw and don't think I could give that up entirely...it's just a matter or what and when I post something. As I said via PM, just relax and take a break. Take all the time you need. We'll be around should you come by again down the road and enjoy your work then. I definitely understand what's going on here, and you do you.

You're very welcome. May I suggest trying out something new, or something you've wanted to try while you're taking this sabbatical? (can be anything as long as it provides some kind of distraction)

Hope you feel better soon. I've always loved your work, even if I couldn't understand the attraction of voting on permavore.

Oney from newgrounds took a break from art to do a gaming channel so you could do that with the Drunk Gaming channel that you have going. I'm starting to lose it with my art too. I also have a problem with perma deathing characters I worked on as well (I don't know how George RR Martin does it). Try not to feel too down about it.
