Because the server has sexual themes and the entire server base is aimed around an adult modification. If you're looking for a good server to play minecraft genuinely on, this probably isn't the one to do it on in the first place.

However if you are underaged, and you're making a comment on this forum post, then you might want to know that you're not even suppose to have an account here since the whole site is 18+.

Because for reasons beyond me, the internet still has a thought police who thinks people need to be forcefully protected against some pixels on a screen... yay for socially acceptable forms of discrimination :roll:

That said, the server does have NSFW stuff on it, so I figure that's probably why.

1 - I think everyone here is aware of that unfortunate message that's been at the top of the site for years now. Not seeing much point in wasting time to edit screenshots of it.

2 - He was asking about the Minecraft server, not the Eka's Portal website.

3 - I don't believe him stating an opinion on a server policy means he's automatically subject to that policy. As far as I'm aware, he hasn't made his age or other identity information public... therefore assuming he is under the magical age of 18 is well, an assumption. I'm way in my late 20's, and I'm as disgusted by the existence of discriminatory online policies based on real life identity... this thread is not the place for me to open this can of worms though, so let's leave it at that.

It's still a place where the ADULT parts of the fetish are practiced. If it was just safe soft vore then hey- more understandable for younger people, but when you throw in the other kinds of vore and the fact that it's primarily being used as fetish material (And not just a random endo level in a video game, for example) then yes, you really should restrict minors from coming in. The server is based out of an ADULT only site, it's based on a primarily ADULT fetish due to the content, there's no reason to be letting minors in. Mircea, would you show porn to a random elementary kid on the street if they walked in on their parents once? Same sort of thing here- there are parts of the fetish that aren't safe for younger viewers, that's why people go out of their way to keep the NSFW things within an adult audience, not a child friendly one. It's not meant to be discriminatory, it's a general rule to keep you from scarring younger people, giving porn to teens, etc.

The fact that in modern society we think people can be scarred for life by a drawing, to the point where one should be protected against their own will from some pixels on a screen by strangers across the internet... kinda sends chills down my spine. In any case, it's not for me to debate the rules of any server, and this thread isn't the best place for such politics. I just don't wanna be guilty of derailing an useful thread... nor stirring up a flame storm, which kinda happened each time I expressed my opinion on forced age-based censorship over the years. Guess there's a time when you gotta accept your views are alien to those of others, and just try to shrug it off... even if it's harder when you occasionally watch others get mistreated over stuff like outdated social conceptions.
