Re: REMINDER, WINDOWS 10 WILL AUTO UPDATE ON YOUR COMPUTER
Mine doesn't auto update, I use a vista (I know, I know) that asks me for permission before it makes changes. And even so I just end it the process trying to update it in my Task Manager every time I log on, not that I need to, but it gets rid of the annoying reminder in my notifications constantly.

Re: REMINDER, WINDOWS 10 WILL AUTO UPDATE ON YOUR COMPUTER
1. Windows 10 will not be "forced" on anyone. Nor will it be installed "automatically". Ask yourself when the last time you saw an operating system that could install itself without user input was? ...Never, right? Good. I assure you that Windows 10 is no different. Even if you do nothing, all that's going to happen is that a Windows Update Notification is going to pop up one day and ask if you're ready to install Windows 10. Not installing it is going to be an option.
2. Minecraft will run fine, even better, on Windows 10 than on Windows 7 or 8. You can join the server and will experience zero issues. Windows 10 has the ability to download the mobile version of Minecraft via the Windows Store (Why would you do that?), which is intended for tablets and phones and stuff.
3. You can disable Peer-To-Peer-Updating during the installation of Windows 10 and at any time after. It's for people with weak connections or problems connecting to Microsoft's servers.
4. Windows and especially your Internet Service Provider have been snooping on "everything" you do for ages; this is not new to Windows 10. For instance, Windows 7 does it too. It's an effort to stop cyber crime, not a conspiracy to spy on your vore porn.
5. Friendly reminder that Windows 10 will only remain free for another half a year. After that, you'll have to pay approximately $120. Windows 7's extended life support ends in 4 years. Think hard before you buy into this fearmongering, as it could cost you quite a pretty penny.

Re: REMINDER, WINDOWS 10 WILL AUTO UPDATE ON YOUR COMPUTER
The W10 version of Minecraft is completely separate, you don't "have" to do anything. I find it hard to believe that W10 will be forced.
Don't spread misinformation.
Also most of the new data collection in W10 (and recently added to W7 and W8) isn't a way to snoop on people's content, it's a way to gather data for targeted advertising. Still disgusting, but it's not like people are going to expose you. The only thing that really irks me about W10 is the inability to turn off Telemetry without a registry hack.

Re: REMINDER, WINDOWS 10 WILL AUTO UPDATE ON YOUR COMPUTER
A change of operating systems would simply never be automatically done. The amount of data lost by businesses undergoing such a supposed forced change would make it an unwise move. They also wouldn't force the update for the additional reason as they want people to buy the OS when it is no longer free, forcing it upon everyone removes that profit.

Re: REMINDER, WINDOWS 10 WILL AUTO UPDATE ON YOUR COMPUTER
When i woke up this morning i had that windows 10 ad, and i clicked on the button "ask me later" it then automatically started to download the win10 files to my computer
(8gb on my 120gb ssd i cant remove without using the GWX Control Panel)
this is a common "problem" http://betanews.com/2015/09/11/remove-u ... ndows-8-x/
and the files within reavels it would have updated to win10 on january 26's

Just a quick google search to prove you all wrong, i haven't seen a single thing positive about windows 10.

...That mistake was apparently fixed months ago.

You mean it would have asked you if you were ready to install it on January 26th. Because that's how installing Windows 10 works. e.o

- Newer, updated system libraries
- More secure. The risk of losing all your files/programs is at an all time low.
- Windows Explorer, the command prompt and Microsoft Edge are significantly more efficient than predecessors
- Less Overhead
- Direct X12 is better than previous versions of direct X at pretty much everything.
- Much faster boot-up speed
- Better multi-monitor support
- Native file searching is more comprehensive and powerful.
- The task manager is more powerful and useful than it is in Windows 7
- It's free
Now you've seen ten. e.e

Yup, just a bunch of baseless fear-mongering. I would say that it comes from people that just don't like change.
Considering I know how much new operating systems can be, since I found out it was free, plus could revert back to 7 if I didn't like it, I jumped at a chance to try it out.
It works great, it is easier to use, and has made my PC faster. Heck, a lot of the stuff that you'd normally have to go to the run box and search for to work on problems with your PC, are now easier to get to. All you have to do is right click the windows icon on the menu bar and you have a list of all that stuff, along with the ability to still open up the run box to mess with the system.

Re: REMINDER, WINDOWS 10 WILL AUTO UPDATE ON YOUR COMPUTER
Just remove the Update "KB3035583" and restart your Computer!
After the restart you have to change your Update-Settings. Uncheck the "Serve Recommend updates as important updates" (or simliar) like here:
https://www.administrator.de/images/content/61a01678a1f9f7514bdef1685b96efe1.png (Sorry didn't find this in english oO)
Thats all
-------------------
Windows 10 may can be good, but I don't like it to get forced to it or get this disturbing "Adware" on my PC - Yes for me it is "Adware" even if it is from Windows, because it make an Advertising for Windows 10. That makes Windows 10 unatractive for me. Then if its good the User will switch the system by theirselfs and don't need an Ad. So I understand why many guys are upset on that stupid KB3035583-Adware-Update
