Very frustrating. I'm half tempted to start my own website at this point but I'm not at the right time in my life for that.

Pixiv is alright but theres an unclear policy regarding censorship. I've been hearing talk about a site called "pillowfort" that's still in beta. Anybody know about that?

Fuck all this shit, censorship is killing the net. Time to move to the deep web. The surface web is dead.

Everything I've seen and heard of Pillowfort seems good, but unfortunately they're still quite new and small, and on top of that had to shut down servers a week or so ago to overhaul something or other related to account security (so it's not even the tumblr influx shutting them down... though it might be once their servers & user registration gets slammed with traffic upon re-opening in a few days)

Other people have mentioned Newgrounds, which supposedly has decent artist pages and stuff and isn't just for Flash-based content anymore, but personally I still kinda see it as a place for gross-out edgy early-2000s humor and would not be excited to go back.

I do hope people can broadly agree on a site or two to settle with, especially if pillowfort manages to get through the growing pains that are going to hit them very hard and very quickly and become the new go-to for art blogs. I'd definitely urge people to be patient with them, because it does seem like they enthusiastically want to do this, but a site of that size suddenly replacing tumblr isn't gonna be able to happen in a week and will likely be rife with technical issues (probably a lot of server crashing) for a little while.

I agree fully as well. Hopefully, we will all be under one rule soon enough. There will be a raise to a new haven in the smut domain,

I moved away from HF for a number of reasons, but it's an option if you like fan art, anime, and sites dedicated solely to NSFW content. I haven't been on there in a while though, so I can't say much about its current state.
I left FA also for multiple reasons, though my main issue was the fact that it's furry based and most of my art isn't furry. I've never made an inkbunny account because it's furry exclusive. Weasyl is a similar site to furaffinity which isn't meant to be furry-exclusive, though since it's basically populated by people from FA, that's the majority of what you'll find there. The rules and functionality are similar and it does allow NSFW content. However, it's not a good place to go if you like a lot of activity and conversation. Pretty dead IMO.
Never used Twitter, not really comfortable with it. But the pillowfort thing looks promising, at least. I hope to see more new sites/communities cropping up to replace the old shitty ones as they become more and more restrictive.

I might be paranoid and I might be saying something stupid. Does all of this stuff going on here on Eka's and now on tumblr possibly have something to do with the net-neutrality attacks going on in the EU and the U.S?

Like what if these are the first measures, the easy ones; that they're beta-testing how much censorship they can get away with and how to respond to backlash as practice for more serious control measures? I feel like this is just the start. I've been *waiting* for shenanigans to start ever since last spring.

If you're a vore artist you can use Eka's Portal. But for others, are there not other websites for drawn pictures? I didn't know that, huh.

The problem is that all of these websites cater to specific niches. It would be nice to have a website with a decent categorization system that was meant for all kinks. I would also personally like to have a site that allows all content which is legal rather than just what the community thinks is tasteful.

Ok, I'm going to be devil's advocate here. Let's get this out of the way real quick I agree what Tumblr is doing and specifically how they're going about is stupid, but to give some perspective.

Let's get this out of the way real quick, this is undoubtedly a response to the Tumblr app being pulled from the Apple App store. In a world where more and more people access the internet through their phones, to have the entire subset of that population unable to access your site is a huge deal, enough to push drastic action to try and get reinstated. It could also be interpreted as Verizon planning to try and sell the service off, we've seen similar things happen before with products and services. While not as much a direct comparison, take for example when Minecraft updated it's EULA with a bunch of stuff people didn't like, it was a specific act to create a better stance for the Microsoft acquisition. Mind you take this with a grain of salt, as I would suspect the first reason is the far more likely one.

dodoman_1er wrote:Fuck all this shit, censorship is killing the net. Time to move to the deep web. The surface web is dead.

I mean, this is the inherent risk when using the service of a private corporation. When you signed their T&S, you agreed to Tumblr being able to remove any of your content and your account altogether without reason. I understand the frustration, but it's a risk that has to be taken with these services :(

Now, on to answering the actual question.
First one is obvious, for just vore content, there's here :P

For more traditional NSFW content, the sites that seem to be most talked about are the following, with pros and cons for each.
https://www.newgrounds.com/
Pro's - The site has explicitly welcomed the NSFW content from the creators of the site, features similar microblogging elements from Tumblr, seems to be some people already transitioning over there.
Con's - May destroy some childhoods :P . Currently, no real way to share written content (this may change shortly), does have an SFW community already there who may not be kind to NSFW artists, may encounter hostility especially for fetish content.

https://www.pillowfort.io
Pro's - Specifically looks to be a similar experience to Tumblr, revenue stream not tied to advertising meaning that censorship is less likely, Stronger control regarding how content is distributed.
Con's - 5$ payment required for account creation currently unsure if this will impact uploaders or viewers as well, the site mentions "Very few NSFW restrictions" meaning those looking to upload vore content involving minors may want to steer clear until further confirmation.

https://www.wattpad.com/
Pro's - Feature's microblogging elements found in Tumblr, is a popular site for written content already
Con's - Website is known for its population of minors, recommended to be careful, only for written content, is public enough that you may receive hostility.

https://piczel.tv/
Pro's - Features both art repository but streaming alongside it can CURRENTLY upload as much as you like.
Con's - After the fallout, any accounts that wish to have content amounting to over 10mb's a month must pay a 10$ monthly fee, art only

https://mastodon.social/
Pro's - a decentralised form of Tumblr with lots of mini hosts, Similar guidelines regarding etiquette to Tumblr (No hate speech and the such)
Con's - No dedicated vore host as of yet, the best place for vore content may be the furry hosts, Explicitly no children in fetish situations it will cause account termination, slightly less accessible due to the decentralised nature of the service, decentralised nature means you will be subscribing to one variety of content most likely, rather than the range Tumblr provided.

This is the list I've accrued as of current.
EDIT: In my own opinion, if we could get a host together for a Mastodon instance, I would suspect this would be the best method, however, each has their own benefits, and I assume members are capable enough of deciding which is for them.
Come check out my stuff!

Well, tumblr will deleting all porn because Apple found some questionable content in some blogs and banned IoS application. Seems tumblr have are large enough profit from this app.

I can't believe that there's no one site for all NSFW artists to go. It seems like such an obvious market, it's amazing noone's filled the demand.
I imagine there's some good profits involved for whoever rises up to fill the current void.
Wish I knew anything about web design...

It'll be interesting to see where things go from here...
