In the first Suikoden game there is a small pitcher plant-like monster called Creeper and its main attack is swallowing one of your character whole. It doesn't really have a bulge but it bounces up and down a few times and inflict damage on each bounce before throwing up the character. This all happen in one single attack and the characters don't remain inside for several turns.

me and my brother have discovered in smash ultimate during stamina battles if someone has more then one stock and are koed by kirby's swallow, yoshi's egglay, or yoshi's chew when he grabs they disappear, also mimikyu eats characters straight up if their damage is over 90 when they grab them or if stamina goes to 0. they get knocked out afterwords and his cloth slowly falls to the floor instead of his usual animation x3. i wish i had a capture card to get footage of it x.x oh side note kirby and yoshi can eat the damageable assist trophies but idk if they disappear like how other characters do when they lose a stock in a stamina battle cause ive yet to cause enough damage with yoshi or kirby's attacks before they disappear x.x

Does everyone remember a game about a girl try to convince the animals that it's o.k. to get eaten? I remember that at the end the girl got hungry and the animals was excited to get eaten by her.

In the game called Niche, there are huge, killer plants in the jungle islands, often hidden in tall grass - until a nicheling moves too near, then they come into sight, petals unfurling, a long tentacle-like protrusion reaching out, wrapping around the nicheling and pulling it in, petals closing around the creature, and then, in addition to becoming bloated, it rhythmically pulses to signify that it's digesting the creature (an animation that I love, I have fun imagining what it's like to be in that nicheling's place pfff), along with the creature crying out on each in game day it's in the plant... It can take up to a few in-game days for the creature to be fully digested. Other nichelings can attack the plant to break free their devoured comrade, but it takes multiple attacks to beat it, and if the plant finishes digesting the creature before it's defeated, then it'll eat one of the other creatures beside it the next day, before they can do anything else.

There's a video featuring this here: https://youtu.be/Bxtk56UwSZg?t=1252

And in Don't Starve Hamlet's beta, there's a roc, seen at first as a menacing shadow that looks small at first grows bigger and bigger as it comes closer, as it keeps menacingly calling... It stomps along, giant head and huge shadows looming behind you as it pursues you, periodically snapping at you, and when it finally is about to catch you, I love how the characters will look so scared in the moment before they're snapped up by the bird, and when they're being snapped up... And I love how the game makes it clear that the character did get swallowed... Then the screen is black for a moment, and the character wakes up in the roc's nest, as the shadow of the roc is seen flying off (if I remember right I think that's probably, currently the only way to get to another island in Don't Starve Hamlet atm, and also where you find the egg that hatches into that DLC's version of Chester)... and I love how the game leaves it ambiguous about how exactly the character got out of the roc. Perhaps just spat out for some reason, but nothing really stopping one from imagining it as full tour if one wishes XD

There's a video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zq3AsSDbNMc

And I love the fact that this giant bird can even destroy stone fences that it stomps on while trying to get you, as seen in this bit of a video here: https://youtu.be/dLqcfHbTD74?t=510

I really hope the roc's gonna stay to be in the full version of this DLC :'D

To add to the Don't Starve entry, there's an enemy in the underground caverns called a Slurper. It attacks by trying to roll into you and then jumping up to swallow your head, forcing itself onto your hat slot and, as the name suggests, licking you to eat at your hunger meter. It won't get off until you remove it but it provides light for as long as your head's swallowed, so you can use your new buddy(?) as a flashlight as the caverns get quite dark.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I felt like I should share. In the PS3 version and by extension the recently released Definitive Edition of Tales of Vesperia, you run into a new character every so often, a young pirate girl by the name of Patty. She's usually getting herself caught by enemies or in some kind of trouble before the party has to save her.

During the first few hours of the second arc of the game, when you're escorting the merchant guild Fortune's Market to the far continent, you have to protect them from a school of Predafish, a type of Merman, which in this game are a type of monster that looks like an anthropomorphic shark with really small limbs and a massive head that uses anchors as weapons. In the video in the link, the camera zooms in on one of the mermen at 14:54 and you hear a girl's voice coming from it even though it isn't talking.

After winning the battle, around 16:40 in this video, one of the defeated Mermen will start to make retching and gurgling sounds, and then it will proceed to throw up offscreen, and who should be there but Patty.

We then learn that Patty was searching for treasure before she fell into the ocean and got swallowed whole by a "friendly" merman. She is also either an airhead or a voraphile too, since she calls it a "pleasant journey."

I don't know, I still like the crouched/spread legs/bobbing up and down stance of the other games... (As seen in my icon)

So I saw some streams of early copies of Resident Evil 2 Remake , Didnt see the full game but I saw at least one Vore event happened , Even thought it was in the original game but I will spoiler tag it in case someone didn't play the original and don't want to be spoiled

Spoiler: show
In the Final Birkin G5 boss fight ( Which can be accessed only when u play the New Game 2nd Run Mode , U can choose either Claire or Leon for this mode , The Video was Claire so I will go with her here ) , Claire Faced G5 inside the tight train and it is moving towards you , which is like the original , A Monster with a big mouth in Front with Big tentacles on the sides , In the original due to limitations the tentacles and the moving forward parts werent well animated but here it is well animated , In the end if u failed to Kill Birkin before he reached claire , He will tightly wrap her with his tentacles then swallow her whole , Wonderful scene to witness , I just hoped that red filter was little than that but other than this , Excellent scene

Here is a link to that , might get removed soon

This one is an old one, and quite likely missed, but...

In the DOS shooter, Tyrian/Tyrian 2000, there's a Data Cube blurb that talks about "People Pretzel Dough", and though not much is said, it certainly was interesting. Yes, there are other Data Cube blurbs about cultures and dining that involves the consumption of other living beings, though not necessarily human, but this one in particular caught my eye.

There's also one about an in-game enemy that loves to consume metallic substances, and they're dragons. With the right weapon setup, the dragons are easy to manage.

Checking with a forum keyword search, it looks like Webber from Don't Starve actually hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet... and the wormholes are also a bit voreish...? These things on top of the roc and the slurpers (I've looked them up now, gosh they're adorable and I hope to find one) make me wonder if there's at least one voreaphile behind don't starve XD

I also looked up Ecco and it seems that that series hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread either; it's pretty old and not one of the most vorish game series but I think it might still be worth mentioning? Some of the enemies predatory, and at least a few that can kill Ecco with a single bite. I've played Ecco Defender Of The Future, and remembering seeing him die clamped in the jaws of great white sharks and huge whale-sized eels many, many times; and in the jaws of the foe queen at least once. It cuts to black at that point, but it's pretty obvious that Ecco's about to be eaten. There's also a giant squid in the hanging waters levels, and I can't remember if it eats Ecco or just flings him away like octopuses, but I think I vaguely remember that it might eat him (but it's a blurry memory and I can't find a video of the squid killing Ecco). And some of the alien foe, besides just the vortex queen, are kinda predatory toward Ecco (and apparently devour civilizations, though what this means seems somewhat vague, though possibly meaning literally eating creatures, including dolphins, like the Vortex aliens in the older Ecco games).

I haven't played the even older Ecco games yet, and so far I keep haven't found videos of Ecco dying to most enemies (just players breezing past most enemies), so I haven't found videos of deaths from most enemies in the older games yet. The older games obviously have sharks too, and prehistoric levels have Dunkleosteus, prehistoric fish about twice Ecco's size that'll attack Ecco like sharks.

It seems to me that the vortex queen is probably the easiest to find videos featuring her murdering Ecco, including by eating him. In the first game, she can suck Ecco into her mouth and swallow him. The japanese version features a level called "the stomach" (which is probably one of the strangest and least stomach-like depictions of a stomach ever, though I guess this is an alien stomach). And in Ecco Tides Of Time, the vortex queen has an extremely long, tentacle-like tongue, with a forked tip, which she reaches out of her gaping, toothy jaws to try to grab Ecco with, and apparently also using suction to try to swallow Ecco. And after being swallowed by the vortex queen (or being caught by a warrior drone) in this game, you apparently play a mini level as a warrior drone, four different variants of this level... I'm not sure what temporarily controlling a drone alien instead of a dolphin is supposed to mean - Maybe Ecco was digested by the queen (maybe even brought to her if caught by a drone), reborn as a drone then somehow turned back into a dolphin (since Ecco shapeshifting happens throughout the series, as well as getting other powers)? Or Ecco is just in a shapeshifted disguise as a drone? Or just a random bit of a drone's point of view, I dunno XD
