Anyone else ever get "burnt out" on vore?
I've noticed lately that my interest in vore content has been declining. I can't tell if it's just boredom with the fetish or if a recent experience with a particularly harrowing fic has soured my tastes for the time being, but I've been defaulting to secondary fetishes when considering what sort of degenerate material I'm in the mood for. Anyone else ever have moods like this? I've got something of a morbid curiosity to find out if/how many other people either stick with just vore or wander from fetish to fetish.

I almost can't get off without vore, so getting "burnt out" on vore is synonymous with getting burnt out on sexual thoughts and fantasies for me.
What was that harrowing fic, by the way? I'm curious.

I get burned out on vore, especially after drawing a lot. It always comes back eventually though.
Still, it doesn't excite me the way that it used to.

I don't get burnt out on it but sometimes I can get discouraged about not finding content that fits my preferences with it.Though I think that happens with everything for me not just vore. Finding something that really works for me and wanting to find more of it after but nothing else quite matching or surpassing the expectations of the original thing that excited or fascinated me.Though that can also be a good thing because it will make me change things up and appreciate variety a bit more and not just focus on one set feeling or subject.

I mean I've had a few stories turn me off vore for a few days I think that's pretty normal. I usually back on track before long. And you have to keep in mind moods of all sorts come and go. Even if you browse Vore Daily that doesn't mean you'll always be into it 100% of the time, could easily go through periods where you just don't feel it for a while, and sometimes that can even be due to over-saturation, and taking a break can help refresh the mood.

Yea, the story-shock thing happens sometimes. Just remember to keep your Blacklist up to date and you'll mostly avoid that creepy feeling.

I don't get tired of Vore. I do, however, feel like looking at other porn, hentai, etc as well. Keep your interests spread : 3
I will say, the situation and/or quality of the picture is a lot more important to me now, compared to what it was when I first got into this. Just a side effect of us being spoiled with more good artist in this community as the years go on lol

Every once in a while, for several months or weeks at a time, then the urge re-emerges, and then I get tired of it again. This is a large part of why my art is so sporatic.

I forget exactly what it wad called, but it was something along the lines of "Clair's Truth." It was a preparation fic (definitely not one of my interests but I hadn't cared enough to blacklist it) I bumped in to while broswing through one of its tags. It was super heavy with increasingly depressing lore and social commentary. And while i can usually appriciate an existential panic on the part of the prey, this was pretty relentless. A highschooler (I definitely have underage blacklisted, but ot was untagged and by the time I realized that it would involve characters outside the grey zone, morbid fascination had taken over) taur agrees to be served in her school cafeteria and spends most of the fic comforting a rabbit girl who volunteered because her family was intentionally trying to get their kids eaten to bring the numbers down and figured ot woild be better to volunteer than be hunted. The rest of it she spends in social commentary about how unusual it is for an apex pred to agree to be carved up, involving all sorts of implied prejudices and social movements.
It was certainly well thought out, but fucking Jesus it was a depressing read. Therapeutic to type that all up though.

Work, work, work, family and school, work and more work.
Bills, bills, bills, more bills and bills when done with those; merely existing is depressing and deflating.
I can't call this "living", but I can't get away from it because of responsibilities, so for now, I have my little family.
Dreams come and go. Reality never goes away.
How do I "blacklist" something? There are a few things I don't like and don't want to see, but since I have my little boy, anything 'underage' feels criminally wrong. Maybe I'm too sensitive.
I don't know, sorry.

There's nothing wrong with being sensitive and there's nothing wrong with feeling that underage is criminal. It's okay to have some sort of moral ground somewhere and perfectly natural. Otherwise, you'll end up in some desensitized coma.
Speaking of which, the stuff that deeply disturbs me does have that effect. I feel like I'm part of something criminal when I contribute to something that embraces pedophilia. Posts like this are the only thing keeping me on this site to be honest.
I'll never be able to lose interest in vore. It's been ingrained in my mind from an early age and will never leave. I can forget about it by diverting my attention to something else (which happens for most of the day fortunately), but I'll never lose interest.

Re: Anyone else ever get "burnt out" on vore?
My interest in vore is not as strong as it used to be, but I think that when I first got into it, the newness of it and the fact that it was my only outlet for sexual feelings (I'm ace and very repulsed by actual sex) made it a lot more to me than it otherwise would have been. I have seen so much of it that even really nice art that hits a lot of my kinks often gets little or no reaction from me (unless it does something I don't usually see). I would try branching out to RPing if I wasn't so nervous about people.

Blacklist can be accessed through settings>tags or by pressing the icon that looks like a price of printed paper next to the watch button on the search result page for a tab. This marks all posts for that tag in search results. Not perfect and doesn't protect you on other people's galleries, but it's a lot better than nothing.
And you're probably literally correct to think that it's criminal. I'm no expert, but iirc in many/most places even drawings of underage content is illegal/legally grey, although it perhaps could be argued that vore doesn't really constitute a sex act?

Re: Anyone else ever get "burnt out" on vore?
Every now and then, yeah. Then I find something new and it's like "ooh, I haven't seen this before." and it reinvigorates me. I have noticed that even during my "off seasons", Pokemon Vore, Unbirth and Krystal or Zoe Fox vore still do it. Aces work is still enjoyable and MLP vore is still a thing that I enjoy, but it doesn't "do it" for me as much as others during the "on season".
Just a wolf lookin' for some fun. I like all sorts. Just... don't eat me.

Yes. Often for months at a time, usually if a few days to a week goes by and most of the new stuff is not what I like I tend to focus my attentions elsewhere.

Ya, got burnt out, but not sure if because too much of it or because of other stuff going on in life

A while ago I didn't login for at least a month. Sometimes I don't look up any mouth/vore for a week too, it just happens like that. I think it's normal.
