Treasure Cove
Hi. I have been busy with trying to extract the sprite of a big fish from an old DOS game called Treasure Cove. I am generally off to a good start to getting what I want to do. I noticed that it is possible to make the fish appear without the "Enter" Sign in front of it. You just have to modify the users.dat file (I have the file for Version 1. I still need to figure out how to do the same thing for Version 2). Believe it or not, that sign is important. If you try to enter the fish while the sign is gone, it won't work, and your character uses the flashlight, instead. Just so you guys know, this is just to showcase what I have on the Treasure Cove fish. I will try my best to get the fish to show up in Version 2. The background for the fish's insides is really good, and I find both versions have a nice, little feel to them. I think I might use the backgrounds for future games.

Re: Treasure Cove
Please tell me how you got this game to run, I played it for countless hours in my childhood but couldn't beat it. I have the .iso file for it, but can't make it work since it's 16-bit.

Which Operating System does your machine run? I can run it just fine on my 32 bit Windows 7 Virtual Machine.

I use Windows 10, but I'm not too sure how to set up a VM properly

Re: Treasure Cove
Download either Oracle's VirtualBox, or VMWare. Then, try to get the ISO of Windows 7 (32 bit), and the game should be able to run easily.

Re: Treasure Cove
Sadly my hardware is unable to run a VM, according to VMware.

Re: Treasure Cove
From what I could tell, my hardware isn't up to date enough to run a VM, sadly.
Good news is, I might be getting newer parts here soon, and I can always wait to play it, since I still have the .iso for the game. It's not going anywhere thankfully

Re: Treasure Cove
That’s good. I will upload a zip file with a DAT file inside it, so that you can easily access the fish.

Fromage Screenshots
I know this is odd, using the same thread for a different game, but, I don't want to get dinged. I'm showing off a few galleries of different scenarios in Fromage, and I'm curious as to which one(s) seem more natural to you.

Re: Treasure Cove
I've found this Sprite Sheet by NMario, and I got the inspiration to make these "screenshots" of Fromage.
Versions 1 - 4 are basically "willing," although it appears to be more like curiosity, whereas Versions 5 - 8 show how the player's character would react to a normal "enemy" capturing/eating her.
As a side note, Versions 7 and 8 (Version 8, mostly) can be seen as the player's character being "locked" by the fish. This is the same thing that happens with the worm. Basically, if the worm gets the character, regardless of which direction she's facing, she is always facing the worm. Therefore, I think Version 8 would be really similar to when the worm captures the player (during which, even before it wraps its mouth around her head, the player has to prepare to mash buttons to free the character. Otherwise, well, she gets ingested).
I'm really curious as to which "screenshots" (Basically manipulated in GIMP) you guys prefer.
Just wanted to provide something new in this thread.

Re: Treasure Cove
Hi. Just wanted to update the thread with the equivalent "screenshots", if the predator was Big Bertha. Basically, this is probably the closest that we've got to Giantess Vore in Fromage, even if it's a big fish, although, I don't know if the Frogs can be counted as giantesses.

Re: Treasure Cove
I added some water to these two images, as well as some extra food for our predatory fish.

- In this shot, I thought I'd mix it up a smidge, with the archer character obviously not willing to get eaten, the witch... asleep (either due to fatigue, or surrendering herself to the fish), the swords girl wanting to join in on the action (willing prey), and the girl with no powerup obviously not pleased about what it'll mean, if she was to face off against the fish on her own (with no powerups around).
