Something I started writing a long time ago, and wasn't certain I'd ever finish... This is the second encounter between Tan and Calina (whom you first saw here: http://aryion.com/g3/showitem.php?id=173005).

Krisexy's neko stories probably gave me the inspiration to finish this, so thank you! :)

Edit: There's a continuation of this story here:

A very enjoyable read, it was a nice surprise to see you had another story up so soon after your last one. I've never seen this concept explored in felarya before, so I think its pretty interesting to see "Semi-willing" prey if you will. On another note, what do you think separates friend from food in felarya, if you don't mind answering.

I wonder what Milly would think if she found out Tan was doing this, or even worse if she came back and found him in her mouth, thinking he was being eaten again :P

It would be great to see how their relation progresses in more stories

Thank you. :) To answer your questions: The seperation between "friend" and "food" depends on the individual predator. Some predators are more "open" than others to befriending humans. If Crisis finds a human interesting, she usually won't eat him, and he may become her friend; if Milly finds a human interesting, she'll usually have a pleasant chat with him, and then eat him anyway. ;)

Calina befriended Tan because she found him intriguing... and because she was prevented from eating him. She would have swallowed him and digested him if she hadn't been stopped. He was just lucky.

Milly would find Tan's willingness to spend time in Calina's mouth very strange. And I wouldn't like to be in Calina's place if Milly sees her with Tan in her mouth again. ;)

Another very good story! I do love Calina. She's a very fun, sweet, hungry, and merciless predatoress I must say. And how she treats, and plays with, Tan is quite wonderful!
How lucky he is, to have such a good new friend in a predatoress like her. I am glad we got to see how things have been progressing for them!

Thanks! Yes, Tan has got himself involved in quite a unique situation. :D Calina (like many nekos, I presume) can be quite a playful predatoress. And even if she no longer intends to eat him, she still likes his taste, and the way he wriggles in her mouth. She'll sometimes have to resist the urge to swallow. ;)

Heehee, I wonder how hard it will be for her to resist that at times?
And I wonder, if she accidentally gulped him, would she cough him up? Or, would he just be doomed to get digested like all his predecessors? ^^

I'm not sure she can just cough him up. She would have to make herself throw up. Nagas, in general, can regurgitate at will, but for nekos (like humans) I imagine it's a little more difficult. (Similarly, Milly can't just throw up when she wants to.)

If Calina accidentally swallowed Tan, she'd try to throw him up somehow. If she couldn't, she'd be living in fear of Milly, more so even than before.

At least she would try to throw him back up to save him. (We'll just assume she does it because she really likes him!) I remember reading once that with Milly, unfortunate snacks are just doomed pretty much.
We better hope that such a thing doesn't happen though, if only so that Calina doesn't have to live in utter terror of Milly and her hungry wrath!

You know, French Snack, I've said this before but I'll say it again, I love your characters. You put some real serious color, variety and realism into Felarya. You could be the new top dog writer for this universe!

Somehow, I never saw this comment, so: A belated thank you! I hope to write about Calina and Tan again some day, although I've got no specific ideas for them yet.
