Anyone up for a brief Amazon review?

Posted by 4ofSwords 8 years ago

I've recently posted updated copies of Cheating Life (http://aryion.com/g4/view/173575) and Autumn's Hobby (http://aryion.com/g4/view/274838) in the Amazon Kindle Store. They're here:

http://www.amazon.com/Cheating-Life-Fou ... B005O563BQ
and http://www.amazon.com/Autumns-Hobby-Fou ... B00WJBE4ZK

If you've read the story here and enjoyed it and are willing to write a brief, honest review there, I'd be obliged! Have a story posted there you want reviewed (and a free copy for me to read)? Let's chat!

Were you looking to trade reviews? If not, and you just were looking for one for yourself, definitely post it over to this thread I made: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=42422

Trade. I just posted reviews for both of your stories.

Though I'm not too sure if it really counts as a "vore" story. There's a bit of unbirth but it's not the focus of the plot.

PMing Word doc now.

If there is still any need for the deed, I could waste a bit of Amazon's reviewing space with my soberly impartial gushing, having just finished reading the featured stories of yours a short while ago. Before I lumber forth, however, I'd like to learn what direction would you like those reviews to take, for while both stories firmly qualify as the kind of fiction anyone could enjoy, if only of the superb writing technique, they are also fall within the thematic scope of this site, so my confusion runs along the lines of whether it is mainly the muggles or the special interest aficionados that you wish to ensnare with those reviews?

I'll try leaving a full-length review for each of the stories (along with typographical editmongering) even if you declare the subject of this entry irrelevant hereafter, but I here and now I must offer you a bow of amygdalafelt reverence, for I've found that I can no longer find a single reason for your short stories to be compared unfavourably to any of my mainstream favourites. You've always been a luminary of the gastronomically-inclined erotic fiction with skills permitting any breadth of thematic deviation, but the quality, wit and complexity of these stories simply put to shame the most of what passes for paperback stuffing today. We're talking Pulitzer-level professionalism, if not the wordcount, but the twenty-first century seems to have repurposed the doorstopper tomes as television series source material, and little more. And, naturally, the fact that I've picked out your creations for my reading list based on the erotically-agreeable tags makes my remorse for having missed the specks of platinum sprinkled throughout your portfolio. My one excuse is the latter has grown so hefty over the years, that being your dedicated reviewer who doesn't skip a thing is essentially a full-time job, with its workload allowing for a little under a year or so of bitter(on account of sloth)sweet(on account of jittery enjoyment) cerebral labour.

Tangentially, your recommendation of "Friendship is Optimal" has finally been acted on, and I thank you sincerely for it, because, true to the advertisement, it proved a thickly-condensed roller coaster of ethical conundrums; I wish I'd followed your lead to delve into "...and the Methods of Rationality" in that time as well, but it is a daunting undertaking even for my betters. Would that I'd read that story before engaging you in that conversation about human beings being humane to the inhuman, and the inhuman beings being inhumane to human beings - I would have had more to say then, perhaps, and more interestingly.

It is fully understood that this reply is over two months stale, but that is how I happen to roll recently. Fair weather and long prosperity to your house, in any case!
