You know, I've never been one for listening to music on the go. Usually when I listen to music, I like to sit back at home and relax and enjoy it. When I first saw MP3 players get popular (namely the iPod), I thought it was just a fad. I never got anything of the sort because I wouldn't use it, and if I did get one, I would never want an iPod because I wouldn't want to use iTunes. Not only does Windows Media Player do the job just fine, but I would want to be able to put music on it from any computer, not just one with iTunes installed.
Well, the last couple weeks I've been thinking of getting a portable music player, thinking I'd use it when I go on bike rides, and to have just to see if I do indeed like music on the go. I thought I'd go with a cheap one, as I sell them where I work, of 2 or 4 gigs, they run on a AAA battery, and have a screen and all that. Didn't think I'd actually get a more expensive iPod shuffle, though I wondered if the sound quality was better from it.
Well, my grandma won an iPod shuffle and gave it to me. It's only a 1 gig, but hey, it's free. I can get about 6 albums on it, at 320K AAC. I installed iTunes and got my library imported into it. Usually I use WMP. I would prefer that still. I know there's other 3rd party programs for putting music on an iPod but I figured hey, might as well just use iTunes seeing as it converts wmp to aac, which is needed for the iPod. I like how easy it is to fill the iPod with random songs at the press of a button. The biggest thing I don't like about iTunes is that I have to import music manually. WMP will scan my folders and auto-add stuff to its library. With iTUnes I have to do that manually.
Oh, and I always thought Apple gave us decent quality headphones with it. Mine sure aren't. And the right one keeps falling out of my ear.
Now I just wait until I find a solid color room and then I can start dancing wildly like all Apple's data from their testing shows. Oh, I see I'll need to buy some fishnets.

Damn, it's been a while man. If you like that shuffle, you might consider moving up to the Nano 4g. Double your pleasure, you know.

Yeah, the IPod earphones suck.
Damn you, Jobs...
I would buy a pair, they will last longer than the ones that come with the IPod.
