IC Approach only idiots

Another blog, another rant, this one much shorter than the last, but still something that pisses me off. On the chat here though, so the blogs far more relevant to the site itself.
Now, I'm no stranger to the chat here, and some of the assholes that populate it. Several users are just there for smut, and don't want to make it themselves ,and when there's not enough being made they'll bitch about it. About a third of our mods on the chat are, and I'm being polite about this as I've heard far worse words, mean dicks. They enforce rules sometimes rather arbitrarily, especially one people their playing with, or other mods, and sometimes they really will ban you for looking at them funny, I know. But even still, they do help keep some order in the chat, and there are some good ones out there(Conn is a really nice guy for instance, a bit odd to talk to sometimes, but then, we all are).
This isn't the rant I want to make today, as many have done that before, my new rant is over something I've seen popping up a bit in the chat, and it just annoys me. I know it shouldn't, and I should just ignore it, but still, it's there, and I just experienced it, and want to rant about it, those A-holes who are IC approach only, even in whispers. They boggle the mind, really. I mean, I can understand, you want to chat in character completely, never let the feeling fall away, but to demand, and in several cases it is a demand, that the other person always start the scene, and giving them little to no idea of your likes, or even if you're there, is just asshole behavior.
Why do I care? Because I've actually tried to play with them, a few times. My own fault really, but I was bored, and most sit there with LFRP signs up. I mind that most of all, because it's basically telling people to make posts, and the one that amuses you most gets to play. Most ignore them, and I've called them assholes and worse to their digital faces, but I've tried it. I've written my usual level of starter posts, sometimes a many as 10 lines in the chat, trying to fit it into their likes, only to be ignored(that horse bitch is the worst about that, but the wolf girl too earns my ire, since for a while, she had no sliders up at all).
I can deal with that however, I mean, assholes happen. My problem is like tonight, I poked one, because they were high up on the list, and then, rather than responding, they left me hanging, and I told them off, and then suddenly I get a reply that rants about IC only approaches, and shit, and then, half an hour later, I get a post that literally says. 'Fine dick, I'll play with your shitty ass'. I tell him to go fornicate with a stick, as he waited too long, and I already had an RP going. He goes ballistic, telling me I shouldn't have poked him if I didn't want to play. I just let him rant, and he pokes me for like half an hour, before giving up and finally logging off.
Now, I know I shouldn't say anything, as a few of you are thinking, maybe I can RP with these people, and will search them out, but I'm pissed off right now, and I would love a mod to go through and ban them all. They won't, and there is a 50/50 chance this rant might get me banned myself, but I wanted to say my piece while I'm nice and angry, rather than giving me time to cool off and decide it isn't worth my time. It's like complaining about Ctrl-Alt-Del(A webcomic), warning people to stay away only attracts some to it...mind I actually like CAD, though I understand the problems some people have with a gamer comic having a storyline about a miscarriage, and not even doing games for over a year at one point, but it was still a good comic at one point, and sometimes makes you laugh, unlike 8-Bit theater, which can make you laugh almost with ever comic...off topic there, but seriously, if you haven't read it yet, go check out 8-Bit theater, read a hundred or so, and tell me if you haven't at least smiled, it will create a good list of AIs currently surfing the internet...really off topic.
Anyway, I've said my piece, and now, I'm going to go play my new PS3. Infamous calls, and I answer...by shooting lightning out of my ass.

I think there are few people with anything positive to say about the chat, I know I'm one of them and I left it a fair while ago. Honestly though, if you are banned from the chat, it'd probably be beneficial for you. I cannot even fathom the pure idiocy that goes on in there.

I know, but I find some great guys there. Hell, just tonight, I found a good RP, the one I mentioned above. It's still going, we've each done about 10 posts, half page length, and we're having fun(I'm surfing and playing Infamous while he's typing). So there are good RPs to be found, it just takes a bit of digging. I almost never leave the chat without an RP for me to enjoy

It's a hell of a place sometimes, but if you look hard enough, you can usually find a good play or two.

I quite enjoy the chat myself. Though I usually stick to the OOC room, as all the nice guys usually congregate there. I can't understand all this crap about approaches OOC/IC and people getting annoyed when I whisper them. Essentially my message is
LIGHTEN THE FUCK UP.

Well I can understand the reason people want only OOC approaching. Nothing is more annoying than sitting there, whispering to a couple different people to suddenly get bombed with this novel page sized post out of fucking no where!

Thats the problem about the chat people are douchebags there. There are a few shiny nuggets to be had there if you can find them but most blow you off or ignore you. its up to the point I rarely go back there

Those who give a damn, feel free to shoot me a whisper and see how to resolves those "issues" bought up here. Those who doesn't want any advise just so they can keep whining, go screw yourself.

Actually, I've found quite a few fun people on the chat myself. o.o Not everybody's the type that I'd like to find, and I definitely don't like those that end up poking me over and over for an RP when I say no, but there are still a lot of good people on there, and I do like the interface, as it makes everything fairly convenient.
And about the IC posts... Yeah, when people have to be drug kicking and screaming out of IC mode, it bugs me. o.o I like to talk to a person sometimes...not a flat character.

Hm. I can see where some people might come from on this. Some folks, (I'm one) will spend a lot of time talking in ooc and then nothing comes of it. If you're always IC, you at least have a better chance of actually playing on a regular basis. It's a preference and should be respected.
Seriously, there's an easy solution to your problem here. If they want to be IC only, more power to them. You act as you have some sort of RIGHT to bother them in ooc and play with them when you deign them worthy. They have an equal right then to ignore you for being so rude as to not pay attention to their play style. If the way they play is an issue, just ignore them and find someone you find more suitable as a playmate.
That's pretty much how I operate with people... and I have yet to have a single person go off on me for treating them with a little respect.
