Why the hell do herbivores make the hottest preds?

Don't get me wrong. There are plenty of pred species that are in my list. Lions, bears, foxes and crocs are always going to be amazing preds... but there is something about a herbivorous pred that just gets my interest. >u>
A good friend of mine mentioned that it might be because if you eliminate the biological factor of needing to eat meat, then you're left with just desire. A lion might eat you out of hunger, but a horse will eat you because he/she wants to. While that's a pretty decent explanation, I can't help but feel there's something more than just that. You have to try to make a mouse pred hot for me. X3
I'm sure it all boils down to personal preference, but I often find myself liking herbivorous anthro preds on a much more constant basis than a carnivorous one. I guess I'm the fine one to talk since the anthro version of my 'sona is a goat. :u

One big factor in this I recon is the fact that it turns the natural order upside down. So the pred is the one you would least expect.

I'm not an herbivore...
Seriously, I think it's because it's unexpected.

Possibly because you don't expect it and its not as much of a go to for preds than most carnivore types.
Then again part of the fun with Hazel, long with his general shortstackness, is that he is a squirrel that dominates. XP
