About my last journal

Posted by MirceaKitsune 10 days ago

Just wanted to say that I'm sorry if I might have overreacted a bit in my last journal, even if in how I worded it. The situation is of course real: They're still showing the army patrolling the city center in tanks while wearing rifles. Many people are revolted by this... at least those with a brain who haven't been scared into accepting absolutely anything the moment you spook them with a good sounding reason. A popular journalist here dared to yell at them outright and called them worse than the Nazis... others appear as if they're afraid to speak out against the measures, implying they agree they're overboard but can't be too open about it. The governmental ilk is trying to find excuses for this now... some say it's to defend against potential looters after a lot of people are coming back from affected countries, many of which are doing very stupid things to say the least; If I could believe that's true I could care a little less, but this still looks like an attack on the population at a point in history where intolerance and persecution are worse than they've ever been during the lifetime of my generation.

My mother admitted she freaked out and exaggerated this morning, which of course sent me into a spiral as that's easy to do with those things. Apparently a friend on her Facebook told people that you need to print some ridiculous declaration then sign it then scan it then put it on your phone then show your phone to the army if they stop you, since you allegedly had to write on paper if you're going to the market next door and explain what fruits and vegetables you're buying. Obviously something downright ridiculous and beyond insane which I of course dismissed immediately and didn't want to even bother commenting on, which scared her that we may get a fine that could send me to prison (just for going to the store as I did my whole life). I had to take care of some banking stuff before they closed so I wouldn't have had the time to do all that anyway, plus my printer's out of cartridges so only the scanner works... which of course is irrelevant because I'd rather die than ever accept such bullshit: Give me such a document and I'll rip it in a billion pieces then make that person eat them. It was later clarified that this is only required for emergency exits during curfew hours, or for people over the age of 65 going out past the hours deemed safe for them... neither things affecting me, I'm 31 and never had a reason to be out past 10 PM here.

I'm still nervous about the trip Monday since I'm sure to encounter both police officers and soldiers. I'm likely not breaking any state of emergency law, but at this point no one even knows as it's a total mess powered only by paranoia and lack of judgment. I'm prolly gonna ride the subway with an assault rifle hanging from someone's neck a few meters away... part of me wants to say that's gonna be cool, but the other part would rather know if this is god knows who's militia and it might all turn into a story similar to the early days of the Nazis taking over Germany.

I hope people can understand that after you deal with the delusion and aggression I've seen in places like Twitter / Gab then even government and law enforcement, you must assume anything is possible. There are people out there who would snap someone's neck because of something they think or feel, often times without the person even knowing someone would have such a thought... all based on some whacked up association they convinced themselves of and decided something harmless is endangering them or an outer-space alien race called the children (being sarcastic over how they see them). Especially after the UN tried to ban anime or comic book artists started arrested in the UK, I literally expect anything to be a plot for putting a bullet in the heads of everyone who hasn't converted to their social doctrine; For some it can be hard to realize, but people with such mindsets can go to the greatest lengths to do the most absurd of things to others... from the little person to a political party running the world.

There are other reasons I don't discuss behind my paranoia and detachment. Don't worry: It's not some "spooky sexuality" or whatever this world loves shitting bricks over... unless being attracted to anthros also becomes a crime, you never know what it's gonna be trendy to feel terrified of tomorrow! It's things I discuss quietly and don't make too obvious, as if it gets too much attention my safety could be in danger. I remain silent as I have for over 15 years... best for everyone including others like me, who could be demonized because people don't like me in particular and make simpleton associations. Those who are close know what it's about... eventually the world at large may learn of certain things and grow to take them seriously, at which point how they react will be completely random: Either they accept you and you become a protected category no one can even criticize because it's whatever-ist, either they pull the machetes out and chase you like you're Lucifer himself... roll of the dice, all depends on who gets to place which label and make the most nice sounding assumptions to appease or concern the interests of vocal groups. If someday I'm found out and must inevitably pay a visit to the gas chamber, so frigging be it! For now that time hasn't yet come, and society is busy getting offended over more obvious things anyway... even if I feel bad for those groups, especially knowing they're just an example of what may come for others later on.

I'm glad to hear you're in a bit less danger than you thought. I heard from a political commentator/researcher that here in the US, talk of indefinete imprisonment is making the rounds, and that made my heart pump a bit harder, so I get where you are coming from a little. I am, at least barring absolute insane totalitarianism, safe as I have not committed anything close to a crime (and have few avenues to do so as I do very little in my life in general) but I fear for others or just the general chaos that seems to be bubbling up. I only hope that rationality prevails and that enough of us all stay safe until the storm ends. If not, then at least I hope I can watch things burn from a good spot ;p

Yes, whatever insanity is going on it's worldwide. The US has committed many crimes against its people too and still is, even I know this from here. I used to praise America and dream of moving there, now it too scares me... I still support the real America but not the ugly lie those hateful people turned it into.

Europe is pretty much in the same boat: It gets some things better than the US and other things worse. The EU seems to be a little less tyrannical most of the time, or more on some occasions. It's clear they don't care about anyone though, it's become an elite serving only itself.

TLDR there are no role models left, every big empire failed and lost its marbles. No idea how the world's getting out of this one.

I'm hoping that enough of the complacent and ignorant will either die off (worst case) or realize how seriously fizzed up things are and actually stand up/not just go with the shitty flow of things (best case). Considering the situation in the US (older generation rejected the better Democratic candidate for very ill-informed reasons), I'm hoping that will be the case here. If this country turns around, maybe that will domino into others...or at least open up more options. Or, maybe this all will cause something I can't even imagine, whether in America or another country, and it will seem like some sort of revolutionary magic trick.

I'm forcing myself not to wish harm on anyone, but I can't help agreeing: Too many boomers, especially in positions of government. Not necessarily age wise, but mentality wise... boomer better describes a way of being these days. I'm so hoping this virus will be the end of tyranny and these hateful old fashioned mindsets.

Yeah I'm also upset at how the Democrats are still incapable to find a truly good candidate... even if Sanders might be such a thing but he's surely not getting picked. If they're getting rid of Trump though that's good enough for me: I can't stand Biden either, he did bad things here in Romania too... but even he is so very welcome just to never see Trump again.

Exactly, it's about the mindset more than the actual demographic.

I can't how much pain and suffering the Establishment of the country I (unfortunately) call home is ultimately responsible for. I suspect that tallied up and laid out, it would blow my mind...and probably make me puke.

Ironically, Biden only has a shot of beating Trump because of this pandemic, as the buffoon's response to this is likely going to tank his approval to miniscule levels. We shall see.

I won't vote for him though, as I simply see no point if the candidate does not hold any significant benefit to the world, and not voting is my statement in such a scenario where no candidate does. My grandmother would say that means I have no right to complain, but she is not a very understanding or warm-hearted woman.

Not being from the US there's only so much I can say on the situation there. Personally I pray to see the Democrats win for at least one reason: They understand the modern world, whereas Trump and his crew live in ancient times. Once the Republicans are out I'm hoping to finally see the free internet no longer being aggressively censored, people not hated for their sexuality, less stuff like racism and intolerance in general, etc. If it was up to the cultist conservatives, I'm certain everyone on this site would be considered a criminal who needs treatment before they cannibalize someone... pretty sure even we'd eventually end up on the list of things they love to call a "public health crisis" (conservative term for "I don't like this").

If you want some good reporting on the American situation, check out Secular Talk on YouTube if you can, he does good work, even if I don't always agree with him on his own opinions, but he makes it clear I don't have to.

That is true though, as the Democrats are more just economically and influentially conservative, but socially they are alright (with the Establishment ones more going the way the wind blows unfortunatately, but they do come around at least). The extreme conservatives would indeed probably do that...at least if they weren't busy whining about gays being a threat to the children and trans-women being a threat to women in bathrooms. Oh, and abortion being worse than genocide.

It is and has been for a long time, messed up in this country. We may not have the same problems as other countries in the same ways, but we have a plethora of our own. It sickens me so much that almost everywhere in the world, there's something inherently wrong with whatever overarching system runs things, or at least the culture of the place.

Still, I've met good people and have learned how to see that there are good things in this world, in spite of all the bad, so I choose to weather things as much as I can, enjoy myself and try to spread that to others, and just live my life with what I have and count my blessings, and hope that maybe I can live to see a brighter dawn.

I know that was bit poetic, but I thought that summed things up well. It's been nice talking to you Kitsune, and I hope I've helped at least a little, if only by distracting you from things...

There's one pattern I've been able to find: The nations that call themselves great empires are usually the ones that screw up the most, while smaller countries are usually okay by comparison. China, Russia, America, Britain, or here in Europe Germany and France who pretty much run us all... they're often the places that have the weirdest things going on. Areas like Italy, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria... lots more corruption and extra poverty, yet somehow there's a balance most of the time and our freedom is better respected (just not in times like the Corona Virus).

It does help a bit to talk, hence why I make some of these journals. Sometimes it's just being reminded that I'm not the only one who sees things in a certain way, before I get "I'm the only person on the planet who X" syndrome.

Good point. Fizz, did I wrestle hard with that one earlier in my life...

Glad to hear you aren't as bad off as you thought, this fear-mongering is unfortunately going to get far worse before it gets better. We have the media in the US lying about everything from origin and cause to proper counter measures. We are lucky enough to have competent people attempting to solve this, in most cases anyway. My governor is one of the rotten ones trying to turn us into Cuba, so I get your concern.

The media everywhere is lying to cover up how the virus was the fault of the CCP, as they have business in China and can't risk upsetting their authoritarian regime. Even now as the world should be seeing what their authoritarianism leads to, they defend the ones responsible for it and even praise their "efficient response" (A.K.A. beating people up to stop the virus). I'm that humanity's response to this virus is going to have it kill dozens more people than if anyone didn't know or care about the virus at all.

The virus was mutated from a naturally occurring illness that afflicts cows in order to thin their population of elderly retirees in China. Unfortunately there are like minded people world-wide who want to thin "problematic" individuals they won't see as people. The 3 groups at risk are: the very young, the elderly, and the immuno-compromised.

Very similar to what my mother told me and I definitely believe it: Even the International Monetary Fund has been complaining that "old people are living longer than expected and there's too many pensions us rich people must pay"; No doubt they were at the table when launching this virus was being discussed... which I'm sure was the case.

Since China most likely did it, my first suspicion is they did this in hopes of stopping the Hong Kong protests; Maybe they were planning to deploy it there and it backfired? Hard to imagine the US could have started this epidemic like the CCP likes to claim: China loves bragging about what a surveillance state it has and how they know everything that moves... it would be ridiculous for them to say that Agent Smith boarded a plane with the virus in his pocket, took a trip to Wuhan, dropped the vial there, nicely went back to the US, and no one even knows about it to this day.
