Why I'm on Sponsus and not on Fanbox

So quite a bit of you guys have been wanting me to switch to Fanbox on Pixiv, because you can only use paypal and currently the payment options for Sponsus is limited. Well let me explain why I don't want switching to Fanbox.

1. Paypal does NOT allow for the sale of nsfw content, illustrations included. It is rare, but if you are a hentai/fringe creator and paypal catches you, they will suspend your account and keep your money. Paypal has bigger fish to fry and so they don't bother most artists, so I'm sure some of you are used to paying via paypal for stuff all the time but there is a small chance they could suspend the account of the artist if they get on their radar.

2. Subscribestar used to take paypal in the early days and then paypal dropped their support because someone told them about the nsfw content that wasn't being moderated. Fanbox is a new service and I guarantee you, just like Patreon and Subscribestar, once Paypal and Mastercard find out about the nsfw content Fanbox will have to start tightening their rules like Patreon or drop Paypal entirely. (Because that's what ends up happening)

3. I have caught underage people trying to buy my art using paypal. People who buy my content with a credit card are more likely to be an adult, which is safer for me.

Now most artists don't give a crap about the things I've listed above. However, this is my full-time job. If my paypal gets suspended or I can't post my content on a site, I might be struggling to pay bills. So call me paranoid, but I rather not take my chances.

I am on Sponsus because unlike other platforms the creator has thoroughly researched the TOS of all these financial processing places and is avoiding high-risk payment processors like paypal and mastercard who have ruined Patreon competitors by pulling support once they realize adult content isn't being moderated. Patreon was fine with my art for 7 years before they started changing their rules, and I don't want to possibly have to deal with that again with Fanbox. So I'm taking my chances with a new startup, that's made it their mission to accept nsfw artists and do the research to make sure all the payments are safe. It's still risky because Sponsus new, but then again everything is a risk it seems.

HOWEVER. If you want to support me, and the payment stuff isn't working out. Just contact me. It's not as easy as a click of a button as a subscription service. But just send me an email. Thanks.

Nsfw artists and creators are at the mercy of payment processors, and websites that have private investors or make money via advertisers, they hate us and we keep getting jerked around by different websites who are all accepting at first and then we get the boot. So it sucks but like please try to work with us. ^_^; if you can, please get a credit card (ideally Visa which is nsfw friendly). Thank you.
