I've been thinking

Okay I'm sorry but sometimes I look into people's profiles and check out their favorites and I absolutely do NOT get having a favorites folder that has more than, idk 5 or 6 pages max. Like, I see people with dozens of pages worth of favorites, and I'm like, do you really like this many stories, this much, enough to want to revisit all of them at some point? At a certain point, aren't there just too many favorites? Idk maybe my standards are impossibly high/weirdly specific but I do think it's funny. I'm not saying you're bad if you do this btw, I just don't get it.

Sometimes it's not about going back to re-read but to keep the favorites tab sorted. Giving a fave is a show of support, which is nice for people, but sometimes it can clutter the art. Putting it into a folder helps people like yourself find things easier.

I find it helpful too bc I don't explore the same places others do, so I check out their faves and see what I may have missed. Plus, I don't always fave a story. If it got me excited, congrats, you get a fave and I get to save it. Stories are nuanced so sometimes it's hard to find the right one with everything in it. Or maybe you bounce between 2 or 3 stories to get all of the juicy parts going together.

Different folks, different strokes.

I should probably go ahead and sort my own favorites before it even gets to that point where it's difficult to navigate.

For me it's about personal curation. I've seen a lot of vore art/stories, and I see many more every day. Whenever I see a work that I really like, I favorite it. Some days I don't find enough new content that's to my liking, so I'll go into my favorites- where I know I'll like everything- and I'll pick a random page to browse through. In that way, I like have an expansive favorites folder, because I never quite know what piece I'll run across again, and it's almost like discovering it again for the first time. If there's ever a particular piece I really want to see again, I generally remember the name/creator and search for it.

That is quite an eloquent way of saying it. It hits different when you're finding something you used to love, and it's almost like seeing it the first time.

I'll be honest, I dont look at my faves on the site. I favorite works I like as a show of support for the artist, cause I know I like getting faves on my works. If I want to revisit a work later, I save it to a flash drive (and that does have hundreds of folders).

I should probably start doing the same to be honest. I remember being worried that a lot of my favorite works got wiped when the host cracked down on a lot of the content

Definitely more a symbol of support than an effective filing system. Also a way of showing support before becoming comfortable commenting and just became part of the routine.

I'm glad that others are more lenient with who they fave. It must really make their days; it usually makes mine
