Looking for another gallery!

Posted by TheLazyWizard 2 years ago

Before freaking out, I've been thinking about opening another gallery on some other forum or site for ideas (NSFW) I have unrelated to Vore. However, I can't really think of another place hahahaha, so if any of you have any idea where I could or would like to see my drawings I would love to hear it (read it XD).
P.S. This does not mean that I will stop making drawings related to vore, I just want to explore other types of concepts.

DeviantArt or NewGrounds maybe? Twitter might be the best. Also maybe a Blogspot.com blog gallery

Well, really the problem I have with DeviantArt is that it is not very "friendly" with NSFW drawings hahahaha, in fact I have already had one or another problem with some drawings that I have uploaded there.I seriously consider opening a Twitter account but as mentioned, it is somewhat difficult to keep things organized...

Hey, that sounds like a very good idea.

DeviantArt might be best suited if you want to stay more organized, you can create separate folders and mini galleries as well. Twitter might help you grow your fan base the fastest but from my limited experience, it’s not very easy to keep things organized. The only other one I could think of would be NewGrounds because of how much freedom is available but everything is clustered together and is only separated by the type of media(Animation or Drawings/Sketches) and is then segmented by years as in everything posted in 2019 is automatically grouped together and everything posted in 2020 is grouped together etc etc

Uh ... It doesn't sound too bad, maybe I'll check it out these days.

Furaffinity?

TheLazyWizard

Posted by TheLazyWizard 2 years ago Report

Hahaha I'm not sure, furry is not quite my style XD

You do know there’s non-furry stuff present there, right?

TheLazyWizard

Yes, I have reviewed the forum several times, I consider that there are very good drawings there, but furry is the main concept If so, FurrAffinity and Eka's are not so different, as they handle a main concept (furry and vorevore respectively) with the possibility of uploading drawings not related to it. What I am looking for is a gallery in which a main concept is not handled and there is more variety.

Newgrounds or Pixiv would probably be the best choices, possibly FurAffinity if you don't mind the main kink of the site.

Pillowfort could also potentially be an option, but with how low the population is there you wouldn't see any growth without constantly linking it in other places.

I think that is the main problem, many other forums do not have a large flow of users :/

You ever stop to that “maybe” that might have something to do with them possibly lacking a centralized concept like Eka’s and Furaffinity do?

I see lot of people go to twitter the most. I'd suggest tumblr, but I remember they had a NSFW Thanos style purge years ago.

I'd suggest Twitter or Hentai Foundry. Deviant Art only if you want to do NSFW art that does not actually involve penetration, if that makes sense. You can do all the nudity and making out you want so long as there is no sexual penetration.

I'm not really convinced by DA for that, as I already explained, I've had some issues with my drawings on the current account I have and they didn't necessarily involve penetration :(

I would say perhaps then the other two then I suggested. I will say though... Deviant Art has absolutely awful ways of communicating between one another compared to here.

A buddy of mine uses Pixiv though. I don't know much about it, but others here seem to.

I'd lean more towards Newgrounds or Pixiv, with the latter stronger than the prior.

While newgrounds would be perfect since its layout is good, and it allows this kind of content. It feels more like a time capsule, keeping mostly its old core audience and not much influx of new users.

Pixiv is more active and growing in terms of a english speaking community, but of course mainly caters to their japanese core audience so its not ideal, but has potential.

Twitter would be good for commissions and such, but in terms of a 'gallery' its really awful.
Things would quickly get buried under posts, retweets etc. They don't really think long-time content browsing and archiving so finding posts would be a pain.

DA I find atrocious for, like you previously mention. Their disinterest with NSFW art, plus their whole identity crisis with the layout getting all messed up makes it a chore to maneuver.

Furaffinity, while there's community. Like you say, is mainly furries and people drawing non-furry stuff will go pretty unnoticed and underappreciated.

Or just keep posting here.
There are a lot of non-vore stuff on the site, even if its theme is vore I never felt the site necessarily force you to do vore.
