Looking for beta-reading help on a The Bad Guys story...

Posted by wolfSnack 1 year ago

I've done the unforgivable, and started writing fanfiction rather than original characters. Goddess have mercy.

Point is, I want to get opinions on a Diane Foxington vore story (you know, the vixen from The Bad Guys), but all my normal beta-readers haven't seen the movie.

And I don't want to spoil the twist about Diane's character. If you've seen the film, you know what I mean.

So! Does anyone who HAS seen The Bad Guys want to read a foxy vore story with everyone's favorite new furry fox-waifu?

In particular, this is my first experiment writing with existing characters -- so I want to get thoughts on whether I managed to capture her in-canon personality well enough! Hence why I need beta-readers who have already seen the film.

Either way, it'll be posted publicly in a few days. But this is your opportunity to get an early sneak-peek!

That movie was aggressively mediocre

I'm not gonna claim that it was a MASTERPIECE, but Diane Foxington is the hottest new fox waifu in the furry fandom and you cannot dissuade me from this.

I wouldn't know. I like my women with skin. I am, however, very glad you're happy.

Ehehehehehe. Okay. I'll send you a link when it's a tiny bit more polished.  thedragonboy is helping me revise it to get it a little more aligned with Diane's characterization.

Why didn't you like it? I didn't think it was a MASTERPIECE but I still thought it was very good. And introduced at least two well-executed furry characters XD

The real trick with any fanfiction is to try to keep the characters in-character, otherwise it's like "WTF?" In my opinion, some exaggerations are okay - over on WdC, I got a True Grit Scene Spoof (non-vore, so I doubt I'll share it here), where, while shooting the Shoot-Out scene between the Hero and the Villains, crazy things happen, and John Wayne becomes a Homicidal Maniac. All for laughs of course.

I also have some other fanfiction stuff, and added to more, in terms of interactives over there. What I find annoying is when someone takes a Kid/ Family-Friendly show and makes it very Adult Orientated. I mean, there's an interactive where Lincoln Loud meets up with Loona the Hellhound from Hellav Boss - some of the stuff is indeed XGC, where I'm like, "Why would a 12 year old do that stuff?" I try to keep my threads there more 13-18+ range, where Lincoln is just going to be a 12 year old boy caught up in trying to release Loona from his service, maybe cause some trouble, but he's not going to cross certain lines most folks shouldn't cross.
