No, no, it’s nothing like that. Vore Day was inaugurated last year on August 8th, so-chosen by the Pixiv vore community because of the pun value of the date. (8/8 - or, “ate/ate”)

Hey everyone! The past week or so has been a bit rough, so let me catch those of you up who don't follow me on Tumblr.

Earlier this past week, a couple of charges came through on my checking account that I had thought already cleared. This caused me to overdraft, and I got hit with two fees, sinking the account balance into the red by about $87. I had put up a call for donations to make up the $40-50 that I hadn't already collected in commission and YCH payments, to get my account back to zero before my paycheck hit this past Friday.

Much to my surprise, TheHungrySuccubus came through by calling on her watchers to support an emergency YCH auction that not only raised the money I needed to clear the overdraft, but also helped me pay down a lot of short-term debt...

After thinking over some of the responses I’ve gotten from people on my Tumblr, I’ve decided to rethink how I’m approaching what I’m working on. Fact of the matter is, I don’t spend nearly enough time on my original characters and stories. This has really drained me and made drawing less... well, less fun. And if I’m not enjoying what I do, why am I pushing myself to do it? I need to get some focus, and so I’m taking the following steps:

1. I’ve scrapped the Understanding the Ter`kati series for the time being. I don’t have the time to properly focus on it, plus I feel like the interest isn’t really there right now. So that will be set aside until another time.
   
2. I will try to do two pages of Crossroads: Tales from the 7th Restricted District...

Well I miss Laurina about as much as the rest of you guys, so I have something of a plan to try to revive the comic and keep it going. I'm going to be taking donations for new pages throughout March: every $50 donated leads to a new page for the comic. At the end of March, I'll total up donations for the month and produce that many new pages during April. Donations will be reset, and I'll begin collecting for the following month.

Hey everyone! With tomorrow being the exact 1-year anniversary of posting A Lady's Delights here on DeviantArt, I thought I'd celebrate the occasion with a contest, complete with a delightful prize!

Your Mission: Draw your favorite scene from the novel and post it to your gallery by February 28th. Mention me in the description to ensure that I see your entry. All works posted to DeviantArt by 11:59pm, Saturday Feb. 28th will be accepted.

Grand Prize: A hand-signed, printed copy of the novel, as well as a short story (aprox. 5000 words) set in the A Lady's Delights universe, with plot and characters involved to be determined by the winner. The winner will also get a sneak-preview of a story set elsewhere in the ALD universe!

So, here's a really fun thing I want to try doing with everyone across the sites I post art to! I was talking to TheHungrySuccubus a while back about drawing a goat-demon-girl, but I feel like her design needs to be more refined.

Now, I feel like I need a little inspiration, because I want her design to be pretty wild-- I feel like the monster girls I do come up with are a bit tame sometimes, and seeing as this one is meant to be a demon, I want to go a bit out of my comfort zone. As a result, I'm turning to you all for some of that inspiration!
