It was a fairly average day for us at the piercing place. I'd been at this new job for about six months, and even in a position where you earn your pay poking holes in people's bodies, things can get a little repetitive and mundane after that much time. Particularly when the people you work on always seem to be the same sort, which in my case was horny men. It stands to reason. Happy Easter!

So I'm looking at the first two entries in the Hostile Takeover story line. It's... curious. The comments are pretty positive, and there are quite a few of them. But there aren't very many faves, and they are by far the least viewed and least read of any of the stuff I've posted. I'm trying to figure out why that is. Timing could be a part of it. Probably not a lot of people are reading stuff on Easter weekend. It's also possible I'm not hitting the notes that people like.

I'm totally going to keep writing it. I hate to leave a story dangling. But it's a long, uphill journey to not be getting that oh-so-important injection of motivation that comes with seeing small numbers become big numbers.

I actually started writing these before bedtime, so technically this isn't insomnia, this is just resisting a rest. Gonna try to do some really short ones. I figure the shorter the story, the less likely I am to want to do a continuation later.

A gorgeous woman lay in a large bed. She'd clearly collapsed there in a hurry the night before. In the corner of an otherwise neatly kept room was the crumpled up outfit she'd worn the previous night, a skimpy peach sundress. Now she was breathing softly, a deep sleep bringing her sometimes to the cusp of a cute little snore. She hadn't even bothered to pull the covers over her, let alone dress in a nightshirt or pajamas. She was thus splayed in glorious and unashamed nudity, a grin on her sleeping face and the glisten of drool in the corner of her lips.

This is an idea that probably won't get any traction, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

Lots of folks here have a persona of some kind that they use to represent themselves. Maybe it is how you identify yourself. Maybe it's a character you like to RP as. Maybe it's just your alter ego. I don't have one of those. I'm basically just marloweny. As I've heard others say, "Just some dude."

Maybe it is time for that to change. The thing is... I don't RP. I don't have an alter ego (beyond Marloweny not being my full name). I don't really have any ideas for one either. But maybe YOU do.

That's insane. That's not only more VIEWS than I ever expected to have, that's got more DIGITS than the number of views I ever expected to have. I'm astounded, honored, humbled, and lots of other words that describe borderline disbelief at the reaction I've been lucky enough to earn here.

If I was one of you fancy pants artist-types I'd draw one of those special celebratory pictures. But as I've often indicated, I'm not an artist. So I'll have to come up with Plan B then. Any suggestions or requests for my six digit celebration? I've got a few thoughts, but it'll be a little bit of time (or a lot of insomnia) before I can get them out. I'm all ears for recommendations!

Hey, lately I've found the need to do one of those fancy links in a description to another user, and also I've thought it might be handy to have all of the related stories connected by that little filmstrip thing underneath in my gallery. Anyone know how to do/how to learn to do some of the fancy stuff like that? Is there a tips and tricks for posting?

Hi everyone. I know I wrote that big ol' finale not too long ago to close up shop on the Size isn't a Big Deal Saga, but quite a few of you were interested in an epilogue so that we can see what became of the group. Well, I'm writing that, and it's getting pretty long. Something tells me, when it's done, people are going to want an epilogue for the epilogue, since it is going to bring about some... changes.

For those who read this blog, that SIABD story will be the next one out, but after that (with the exception of unplanned insomnia stories) I imagine next up will be an HDTF story. That might not be a for a little while, since I've got some travel coming up for the next week or so, but no reason not to lay the groundwork.
