BronzeBanana - 4 years ago

Thanks. Finally I can be collected by the Kong family.

BronzeBanana - 4 years ago

Thanks. It's mostly chromatic abberation with a little blur on top.

BronzeBanana - 4 years ago

Yeah, it's where I got the idea from. Somewhere in the design process they mentioned that she eats pirate ships so I guess the pirates are complimentary.

BronzeBanana - 4 years ago

Doesn't even need a swim bladder anymore, she has achieved perfect buoyancy.

BronzeBanana - 4 years ago

For all we know Monroe Walk could've been amazing.

But it probbaly wasn't.

BronzeBanana - 4 years ago

Not sure if I'm actually gonna draw a follow-up or not, but for what it's worth this scenario would definitely end in weight gain (and no increase in nen).

Aside from that I probably won't touch Cheetu in a while, since I try not to get too attached to established characters. Sadly there isn't much else with him, even on places like FA.

BronzeBanana - 4 years ago

And even if his nen increased, he's too stupid to properly utilize it.

BronzeBanana - 4 years ago

Though I imagine she eats three or four meals of that size per day, so it's not much of an achievement for her.

Also, I'm happy Hisoka pulled through in the latest chapter.

BronzeBanana - 5 years ago

It's a huge responsibility.

BronzeBanana - 5 years ago

Sounds no less contrived than most other justifactions for good aligned drow I've heard. :P

BronzeBanana - 5 years ago

Thanks. Fat predators might be my favourite kind, just because of the sheer amount of hedonism on display and the implication that they became that fat by eating quite a few people.

BronzeBanana - 5 years ago

Thanks. The main reason I use it is because it's way easier to get the values right, but the results can be pretty nice in their own right.

BronzeBanana - 5 years ago

Yeah, I know. I just really like characters who do mental gymnastics to justify their horrible behaviour.

Though I guess she could maybe get away with it if her victims aren't good aligned and she kills them first. Works for Gold Dragons at least.

I normally use a pen with low opacity, medium/high softness and no pressure sensitivity for size. Then I use a medium or hard eraser to refine the lines (usually more than I did here).
It's more about technique than about any specific tool though, I recommend looking up "line sculpting" on Youtube.

BronzeBanana - 5 years ago

If it weren't for some guy persistently calling her the "waifu tree" at AGDQ, I wouldn't even have gotten the idea, so it seems you're not alone.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

One of the advantages of seal-based mermaids over fish-based mermaids is body heat. I really like how it's implied that they're warm in every environment they're in, while a classic mermaid would technically be the same temperature as the water around her. That's really oddly specific, though. :P

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Design-wise it would've been better to have the seal part start further up, but for that pose I though it would've been better to have more human skin.

Glowstick.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

I think there's always a slim chance for it to happen, but the lower your health is the higher the propability, while the goat is always a 100% thing. Maybe I should've worded that differently.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Yeah, the goat was also my first. One of the few who can give you a vore scene even when you're on full health, I think.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Yeah, I also like that concept. Maybe I should've at least made them less saturated so they don't draw so much attention... ah, the things you notice once you've collapsed all the layers.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Probably not, I try to only draw when I'm directly inspired, not to keep a theme or anything.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

I don't think I'll ever revisit this scenario, honestly.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Well, technically there should be.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Well, being a princess takes a lot of energy...

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

I have nothing to add and just wanted to point out that this comment owns.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Once she's queen, voreology will probably be taught at every university in her realm. :P

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

She has a pure and noble heart, like every princess should.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Agreed, that concept was one of the major inspirations for this.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Exactly! People should be judged by their intentions, not by their actions. Or was that the other way around?

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

I think most carnivorous plants secrete sweet nectar from their glands, so the latter.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

There'd probably be enough time to let them out again, considering how slow pitcher plants digest their prey.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Your local Horror Store, I assume. :P

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

I prefer it this way. You can think of it as more of an udder, depending on whether that makes it less or more weird. :P

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Yeah, the normal eraser is no good for this. You can either check the little box that says something like "Excange Normal/Transparent Color" next to the Primary/Secondary Color boxes to turn the tool you're currently using into an eraser or create a new Binary Tool, set its Opacity to 0 and use that like you would use an eraser.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

I think the only brush that I'll ever stay faithful to is my Binary Tool, but that's because it barely has any options to begin with. :P

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Well, almost every elf deck has 8 of them (considering Fyndhorn Elves are basically the same thing), so it's not unusual to think of them when you think of elves.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

I didn't actually read anything about Origins until now. Some of those new elves look really fun for casual play.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

I wasn't heavily invested in MtG when Innistrad came out, though I did like the gothic atmosphere.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Especially the elementals.

BronzeBanana - 6 years ago

Yeah, I really prefer its crudeness over the smoothness of, say, an inking tool.

I never stick too long with any one brush, since I always try to adjust them to my needs and I haven't found a "perfect" one yet. Most of the time, I have 2 or 3 brushes that I use, but they're usually pretty basic.
