It's a pretty common thing in these parts (e.g. in my work) for a young polar bear, not tough enough to fight for a female of his species, to strike up an *ahem* relationship with a female of another species, often bribing her for her favors. Some even bribe Inuit women for sex. Odds are this is a meal bear courting a female seal.

The first one is mistitled. It is currently “Ronas and the whale”. I’ll fix that soon.

Strega - 9 months ago

That is what got me started on the Ronas stories and pics, just as the photographer and leopard seal encounter a few years back got he into drawing leopard seal preds. 83

Strega - 9 months ago

Well, the ridiculous part of the pic is a baleen whale eating people, so naturally that's what you were focused on.

Strega - 9 months ago

Sperm whales could easily swallow a man, a killer whale might be able to. Blue whales can expand their throat to maybe a foot wide, but a really determined one might be able to choke a human down, especially if the human is on the small side. Of course it's fun to imagine a scenario like the one above and people probably have been eaten by killer whales. Just not baleen whales. 83

E621 also has the problem that any sort of insertion is tagged as vore, even when it plainly isn't. A variety of things can happen to someone sucked into an orifice. The general tag for safe containment is endosomatophilia, I believe.

Strega - 9 months ago

The two tags should be linked so if you use one the other is put in automatically.

Strega - 9 months ago

One recent annoyance of mine is people using "equid" instead of "equine", which makes it harder to filter out the endless snowstorm of pony pics. 83

Strega - 9 months ago

I have that issue on E621 when people don't tag stuff adequately. It's hard to forget some of the hideous things I've seen there. Blacklists are your friend.

Strega - 9 months ago

Some sites tag in more detail than others. E621 is insane that way, a single post can have 50+ tags for things as minute as hair and eye color. Asking for gender of preds isn't so bad. 83

Strega - 9 months ago

Tagging is more sophisticated than it used to be. "Seal" and "feral" isn't good enough any more, now people want "seal_pred" "feral_pred" and so on as well. I will try to remember to tag genders for characters too.

They have gotten quite good at realistic looking furries like Rocket, but the CGI is a real expense.

Strega - 10 months ago

Supposedly one of the new Disney streaming services shows is Tigra and Dazzler of all people. A cartoon series, but still.

Strega - 10 months ago

It may have also been that it was much easier to just put makeup on a couple of women than try to make more cat-like people. Though Doctor Who has some fine looking cat ladies that are just better done makeup.

Strega - 10 months ago

Well, what happened was the ship's new (temporary) doctor forgot to program in M'ress's usual anti-heat drugs into her food supply (yes, that old chestnut of cat people going into heat, sorry M'ress) and she holed up in the Jeffries tubes and attacked anyone who came near. Scotty dressed as a catman to get close enough to stun her. This was about the time where Tigra was being treated in a similarly shitty way in the comics, too.

Strega - 10 months ago

Most Caitians don't eat people, much less whole people. She must have picked up some pointers from Ripper. 83

Strega - 10 months ago

She was in fact voiced by Majel Barrett, Roddenbery's wife. She has only a few minutes of screen time over the show and later shows up in various Star Trek books. She comes on to Sulu at one point in the show and in one comic, sort of ironically it turns out. There's also a great bit in one book where Scotty dresses up as a catman to try to seduce her (he got the idea from a costume party he went to where he was disguised as a bird alien and a female bird alien was disguised as a human, and they hit on each other).

The staff keeps partly digested bones, armor, skulls and so on in storage and fixes up a basket of stuff for him to swallow before a match if he hasn't eaten someone the day before. They match the props to what he supposedly digested (if, say, he actually coughed up a fellow gladiator) so regular customers have no reason to suspect it's for show.

Strega - 10 months ago

It's all part of the show. Sometimes he swallows prepared "mostly digested people" right before a match, sometimes it is quite real.

Strega - 10 months ago

Reformation is not common in my settings but sometimes it is necessary for stories to work. Consensual prey, for one thing, usually requires it, and a silly joke like this means I have to reverse engineer a setting where lying around with your dick hanging out is against the law but swallowing someone whole isn't. 83

They normally start by taking over (and eating) the tail of the host, so you'd end up with bear with a big tail like BBB, but sure.

Strega - 1 year ago

She's obviously pretty dangerous to be around (whether she wants to be or not) so she'd have to be on her best behavior around Toothless since he'd react badly to her tail eating Hiccup or some other human. 83

Strega - 1 year ago

This isn't one of my more thought out characters, and her vore abilities are a bit nebulous, but with most of my tail vore critters, they may swallow things weirdly but they still digest and poop them out the usual way. Large indigestibles would either be spat back out of the tail or regurgitated. It's tempting to say she can't swallow people the "normal" way because then she'd have no choice but to digest someone her tail ate but I'm sure I'll draw her eating someone that way eventually. Most likely she is a host for a thing called a Lysk Symbiote in my setting, and their hosts eventually develop vore abilities beyond tail vore.

Strega - 1 year ago

Fortunately Toothless is too big for her to manage. 83

When a normal sized badger eats someone even in the Stregaverse, it's typically a surprise attack. As it was this time. 83

Strega - 1 year ago

The reason so many predators get away with it in the Stregaverse is that few people know they are capable of swallowing people whole. The last thing you'd expect if you ran into an angry badger the size of a dog is for it to swallow you whole. 83

Well, I could tag such pictures with "young prey" as a compromise. Occasionally I do draw young prey. This site has a lot of tags, is there an appropriate one that would allow you to filter out the ones you don't like?

Strega - 1 year ago

Maybe? Some people don't like child prey and I am trying to be reasonable.

Strega - 1 year ago

One child victim out of a hundred, which is probably my average, is hardly "What is it with you and killing child charcters." Kids get eaten in old stories and cartoons as well as more recent media, this is hardly a new thing.

Strega - 1 year ago

The vast majority of the prey I draw is adult. This is an exception caused by the nature of the plot.

Strega - 1 year ago

The main goal of this page was to show the ball getting knocked back to the entrance. There has to be a reason for Bobby's friends to leave him to his slimy digestive fate. 83

Bobby's problems stem from having one arm down the badger's throat from the start and being trapped in a narrow tunnel. If it weren't for those things he'd get away easily.

I've always been okay with the occasional child prey as long as there's nothing sexual about the encounter.
