This is a story of an epic battle of evil versus evil between two men... so in the end both sides follow the same fate....
"BANDITS!!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!” screamed the watchman, hurling his spear into the midst of the invaders. He fell to his death less than a minute later, having been thrown over by a burly outlaw leaping the battlements. The few other soldiers battled as best they could, but the walls were swiftly overrun by the sweaty horde of greasy murderers and thieves. Fire followed swiftly in the wake of their pounding, sandaled, grimy feet…
D'vor'an- a village just north of the mysterious temple of Felarya... now under heavy assault, every man, woman, child, and sentient pet ransacked for everything they are worth. Leading this raid was a swarthy man in a bandito cap wielding two short swords. His name was Fargus Grimheim, although most victims could squeak out only “Fargus” before they died, and he is one of the villains of our story. He and his bandits are pillaging this town of everything they possessed, from the finest of golden sculptures, to even the rotted fruit of the village market- nothing was spared. The vile raiders swept through the streets, killing and wounding anyone that dared stand up against them.... that is, everyone except another horde of bandits, an opposing band that had been planning to pillage this prosperous town for quite some time.
This new band was of course quite enraged by the intervention of Fargus' common cutthroats in their domain. Their cursing, jeering ranks split open to reveal an abnormally large man armed with a rapier and wearing a fencer's outfit. Captain Cagan. Cagan made the single most obvious tactical choice and ordered his men to assault these common bandits that had captured Cagan's target away from him, after months of planning and organization. The villagers, hiding in the alleyways next to their burning buildings, began to (unfortunately in vain) regain hope from these new bandits erupting on, in, and throughout the scene. But this hope was quickly snuffed out as they saw that many were leaving with the villagers' belongings, and cutting down as many or more of the village's rightful inhabitants as they did their enemies.
The villagers also hoped that the ravaging criminals would cancel each other out.... but this glimmer of hope was snuffed out as well, as the bandits were getting the villagers caught in the crossfire and many innocent civilians were slain. The entire town was almost destroyed (via inferno and explosion). Both sides made their way to the center square of the village, where the mayor happened to be cowering and watching the cataclysmic carnage in distraught horror. The bandits who captured this grieving leader at last were none other than the leaders of the opposing sides, Fargus and Cagan. They met and quickly went to battle to determine which would retain possession of that most prosperous villager.
They deadlocked at the very first strike. Cagan made a straight stab at Fargus' chest, but Fargus caught it between his two short swords and quickly forced it toward the ground in an attempt to disarm his opponent. Cagan freed his blade by releasing it and then catching it as it fell- for, with no pressure to keep it vertical, it simply slid between the short swords. He then snapped it up in a diagonal slash at Fargus' face, but uncivilized as he was no one could deny Fargus' technical skill in combat. He parried the rapier with one sword and riposted and Cagan's torso- which Cagan, a veteran duelist, saw coming and sidestepped. After about 10 minutes both were exhausted and were starting to lose the energy to keep the mayor from escaping. Since all of their men had either been killed or retreated to their respective lairs with the booty they decided to call a truce and share the mayor's wealth.
As they made their way to the mayor, the mayor had an epiphany, and hollered (trying to implement his stratagem),"Wait!!! I think I have a solution to your problem!".
Both were curious about why a victim would help them and the manner in which he would so, and thus they allowed him to explain.
"Just south of here there is a temple with a great deal of treasure.... and I know how to get in." the Mayor offered, glancing at the ruined hollows of his city. He clenched his chubby fists in anger, but glancing cautiously at his audiences' faces, he kept a friendly and slightly daft smile on his face. Both monstrous raiders were very greedy and believed his story full heartedly. Intrigued, they forced him to continue, and he did.
"Well... it requires a ceremony to get in and only a proven warrior or duelist may enter the hallowed grounds…" the mayor intoned in a grand orator's voice. Staring surreptitiously at them he felt that they were going to buy it, hook, line, and sinker. He continued, "You must both battle on a ledge above the water, and the one that remains on the ledge after the duel gains the right to enter the temple". Being the greedy bastards they were, they immediately forced the clever mayor to take them to the temple that he spoke of.... but in revealing the temple's secret he deliberately forgot to mention one crucial detail... Anko.
They left using the mayor's personal coach and his purebred steeds, driving the poor animals at a gallop the entire way. Upon arrival at the Temple's bridge the panting horses collapsed and did not get up again. The three men had to walk on foot the rest of the way. Once they finally got there the bandits grew impatient, forcing the mayor to hurry up and commence the ceremony. He quickly pointed out a branch (part of a massive tree at least as large as the Temple) that loomed over the lake, directly parallel to the bridge and the sealed gate.
"That branch will suffice for your needs gentleman... so get on with the duel. There are no rules, except that one of you must die, and at the appointed time you must both yell the phrase that I tell you. Upon completion of both conditions the gate will open. Simple.”
Both men were confident enough in their abilities to not rig up climbing gear, securing ropes, or other gear to keep them from plunging to a watery death rather than by the other duelist's blades. In other words, they were arrogant enough to not get properly prepared, and stupid enough to believe it wouldn't matter if they weren't. So they tied the mayor to the tree (proving that the were not THAT stupid) , and scurried up the tree using a vine dangling from the branch to the ground. At last they got to the opposite sides of the branch, and drew their respective weapons. They both howled the mayor's phrase, a battle cry that the mayor claimed was necessary.
"COME'NGETIT!!!”
To put it simply- that is how their lethal challenge began.
As they fought a fin protruded from the water, and charged toward them at a incredible speed. While it stealthily but speedily grew closer the men were locked in combat. Cagan attempted to stab Fargus but was parried like before. Fargus intercepted this attack and instead of trying to disarm him as he had in their last duel, he spun one of his short swords out of the x shaped parry and attempted to stab Cagan but.... something caught his eye at the last second.
It was the guardian of the temple, Anko, and she was hungry. Ravenous, even. Fargus, stunned by her beauty, was unable to continue his attack and involuntarily allowed Cagan to withdraw about 5 feet. Cagan then noticed the huge mermaid directly below both of them. She was staring at Fargus' sturdy frame and twirling her tongue in knots, then seductively undoing them. Fargus was dumbfounded by this as he loved tongue tricks. Fargus lost his concentration (the sudden lump in his pants helping to unbalance him), and that caused him to lose his footing as well.
Fargus fell from the branch, clinging on for dear life, with the now wide-mouthed Anko ready to chomp him as soon as he fell. Cagan was deeply enjoying, even loving, how helpless Fargus was and slowly, swaggering, approached him. With a wicked sneer and a cackling laugh behind his torn face visor Cagan spit down at Fargus. He declared, "Hmph. This is your fate for trying to horde in on MY pillagings.... you misguided fool".
Cagan then looked at Anko and chuckled,"Hey you... mermaid... I want you to enjoy this meal lass...and if you can make him suffer a bit for me hmmm...". Cagan smiled evilly, while Anko began to get tired from having her jaws open so long and stretched, exposing her bouncing orbs for a brief second. Cagan pressed on Fargus' fingers and Fargus pleaded, "P-please no!!! I-I'll give you all my plunder for the rest of me life.... just please spare me. I don' wanna get eatted!!". Cagan looked at him with a very sinister look and said, "nah", then he put his full weight on Fargus' fingers. To his credit, Fargus still managed to hang on for half a minute in spite of the pain, but at last fell into the hungry mermaid's mouth.
As soon as he got in her mouth she wrapped him up in her tongue and squeezed hard to get all the flavor out of him. He simply thrashed and tried to get out. After that she started rolling him around her tongue on her tongue and pressing him onto the roof of her mouth, loving all the flavor he had in him. When she had got all the flavor and fun out of him she swallowed him (still screaming) and purred to Cagan, "mmmmm... thanks. I was starving.... and I still am". Cagan saw her swim up to the tree (that held the branch he was precariously balanced upon) and screamed out, "Wait!!! What are you doing!!". She smiled at him while licking her lips, and shaking the tree.
All the shaking was too much for Cagan and he plunged shrieking into the water, but when he frantically observed the area looking for Anko she was gone. He felt relieved, but wondered why she hadn't come after him.... and then he saw her. She had found the mayor and had started playing with him. She simpered, "Well what were you doing tied to that tree? Did those mean little men do it?... Well, I can bring you three together to work it out. Heeheehee". The mayor was too afraid to say anything so she just licked her lips and wrapped her tongue around and around him, squeezed him and rolled him around her tongue, but then she took him out and placed him halfway into her mouth, legs-first. She then proceeded to suck on him bringing him deeper and deeper into her mouth every time, and when he disappeared into her mouth she swallowed him. A single silent plump lump sank down her throat visibly and disappeared beneath the water, presumably to her stomach.
Cagan had by now swum close to the shore and believed that she couldn't get him once he was safe on land.... he was mistaken. Simply, utterly wrong. When he got up on the shore near where she was, he ran as quickly as he could, confident that she couldn't get him. But she leaned over and grabbed him... quite easily actually and she brought him up to her lovely face.
Anko licked her lips and moaned, "Awww man, are you the last one? .... Oh well I will have more fun with you then the others". She covered his mouth with her finger, effectively disabling his ability to speak (or perhaps squeak in this case), and quickly brought him up to her face. Then she placed him into her mouth head-first, and began sucking on him and squeezing him with her tongue at the same time, she did this for about 2 minutes. She then felt she had played enough and then sucked him in like a noodle and swallowed him. With a single muffled outburst of rage and terror the bulge that was Cagan sank down her slender neck- and then was no more. And Anko contentedly stared at the still-sealed Temple door and floated on her back.
--2 HOURS LATER--
*BURP* "Ooo.... those guys were fun..... And they have finally resolved their differences, and they're even working for a common goal...although there is no way they are getting out.”
