Ten thousand years ago, the land of magics and monsters came to an end. To stop the spread of a vile warlock, a seal was placed on this land, locking away the flow of mana, keeping it from entering our universe. Many creatures fled the land for places outside of the magic seal, but many stayed behind to rule the land until the mana within was used up. Overtime, the legends have been lost, and the remainder of the creatures dependant on mana have fled, but not before a seer prophesied the return of mana to the land. Five thousand years ago, only a few years before the planet Mars became barren, a seer there told that one day, before evil consumed the land and the mana wells dried up, a catalyst would be born on the last stronghold of life, the planet Terra. That catalyst would have both angel and demon blood running dormant through her veins, and she would release the seal of mana on the land. She will be the most powerful creature to have ever inhabit our realm, and would decide the outcome of the eternal war of good and evil. Now, as the seer foretold, Terra, now commonly known as Earth, is the last planet harboring life in our universe. Mana and magic is considered only fairytales, and evil is about to grasp it's hold upon the world. On the continent known as America, an evil man has claimed power over the country, and seeks to bring global chaos and destruction. It is an ironic twist that a boy born in this land would be the one to find the catalyst of legend.
"Bradley, you know I don't have to do this. If you don't want me to go through with it, I won't. The seal doesn't have to be released." A beautiful, blond haired girl speaks to her crying boyfriend. "No, Amanda, we both know it was destined to be, besides, if you don't release the seal, everyone will die anyway when the mana runs dry. I may love my friends and family, but I told you when we met that I would stand by your side regardless of what fate through our way." The boy responds to the girl, wiping the tears from his eyes and trying to get up the courage to smile. Hearing those words, the kindness, the selfless dedication the boy shows her is what made her love him, and she can't help but embrace him now. "Oh, Bradley, thank you. I'm sorry that this had to happen, that I am the one who will bring destruction to everything and everyone you love." Holding the girl in his arms, he gently strokes her cheek, tears running down from both their eyes. "Relax Amanda, their spirits will live on. Besides, I'm with you now, and you are what I cherish the most. Besides, I have no love for this world and what most of the people have become. This world needs to be cleansed, and you are the one destined to do it." His hands caress her back, his face in her beautiful locks of blonde hair, reveling in the feeling of their soft caress of his face.
Stepping away from his embrace, the girl kisses him on the cheek. "Thank you, Braddy Bear. You always know just what I need to hear." The boy blushes and holds his hand behind his head, rubbing his hair. "Aww, shucks Amanda. You know I melt when you give me compliments like that." The love between the couple is apparent, and the tone is light considering what is about to happen. "You know, the prophecy said that I would decide the fate of the conflict of good and evil. Are you sure you want to stay with me, even if I cause the destruction of everything good and pure." The girl says this to her boyfriend, but this isn't the first time this question has been brought up. "Amanda, I believe in you. I am sure beyond doubt that you will do the right thing when the time comes. Besides, you have me, I'm not going to let you become evil, and even if you did, I would just have to become evil right along with you." With his cheeks still flushed, the boy closes his eyes with a big smile, giving her a thumb up. Amanda giggles, her hand going to her mouth and letting out the delightful sound that the boy loves to hear so much.
Turning away from the boy, the girl looks up at the darkening sky, a serious expression now on her face. "Well, I guess it's time. Let's get this over with." The boy nods in agreement with, watching as she walk forward. Holding out her hand, a magical pentagram materializes within the air before her. Placing her hand on the seal, the girl closes her eyes and begins to chant the incantation. Her body glows with a white light, wings of different nature sprouting from her back. On the left side, the wing is covered in a soft, white down, the feathery wing resembling the wings of an angel from myth. On the right, a black and red wing, resembling a bats wing, sprouts, looking much like a demons wing from lore. Watching in amazement, the boy stands with mouth open in awe, as the seal begins to glow. Completing the chant, the girl opens her eyes and removes her hand from the seal as it begins to dissolve. Streams of light erupt from the pentagram, and then a flash radiates from it. When the light fades, a shimmer can be seen throughout the air as mana begins to flow throughout the universe. Flowers begin to bloom and foliage begins to brighten in color as the mana floods the land.
Walking up beside her, the boy still remains in awe, staring out as the worlds colors grow brighter and more beautiful. "So this is mana!" The boy exclaims, a smile spreading through his face. "It is so beautiful." Amanda nods her head in agreement, her arms folder across her chest, awaiting for the portals to open and the land to again fill with creatures from a time forgotten. Throughout the world, people stand there in awe as the mana brings life and beauty back into the land. For a whole minute, the world is silent as everyone just watches, until suddenly swirling vortex of light begin springing up across the globe. "Here they come." Amanda notes, as through the portals, creatures of all kinds begin to emerge. Millions of creatures, mostly demonic in nature, begin filling the world, eager to bring chaos back to the land. "Demons are naturally the first to enter. Their legions are assembled to attack a world at a moments notice, while other creatures seek intel on the land before beginning to colonize. By the time reinforcements from the good aligned creatures arrive, it will be to late." Amanda explains to Brad, even though they have had this discussion before.
Wrapping her arms around her lover and spreading her mismatched wings, Amanda takes flight into the sky, seeking refuge for her lover from the hordes of demons entering the realm. The boy holds on to her tight, his eyes closed. "Don't drop me. I am afraid of heights." Of course he knows she won't drop him, but his fear of heights runs deep through his veins, and his timid ness makes the catalyst smile despite the carnage below. A piercing screech suddenly pierces through the air, and a dragon type demon soars above the clouds, headed for the two. "Stay calm Brad, I'm going to have to evade this creep until I can open a portal out of here." The girl tells the boy as she begins flapping her wings to gain speed and distance from the dragon. Bradley clutches the girl tight, trying to keep from screaming as Amanda twist and spins through the air, evading the dragons fiery breath. Again and again, the beautiful girl of prophecy dodges attack after attack from the persistent creature, while far below them, chaos ensues as people are slaughtered and maimed by the vicious demons. After several minutes of this, a miscalculation causes a burst of fire to graze over her angelic wing, eliciting a scream from the girls throat.
"Amanda!" The boy screams, opening his eyes to see the smoldering wing as the two plummet toward the ground. His eyes fill with tears as he stares coldly at the dragon, who is rapidly gaining on the two falling lovers. "You bastard!" He screams at the creature, his tears streaming from his face. Moments before the dragon can reach them, the girl opens the portal, and they fall through it, closing as soon as they are through it. The two land on the ground with a thud. "Oh, that was not fun." Amanda muses, groaning from the pain of the fall and the burn. "Are you ok love. Did you break anything?" Opening his eyes, Bradley answers with a groan. "Owww! I'll live." The two of them get up slowly, their bones creaking from the hard fall. "Well, your flying was a perfect 10, but you lose points for the landing." The boy jokes, managing a grin as he rubs his sore back. "Dick!" She shoots back playfully, giving him a gentle shove. "So, where are we anyway? This sure doesn't look like our planet." The boy comments, looking around at their surroundings.
The two appear to be in the middle of some kind of forest, although none of the trees are of any species they have ever seen or heard of. "I would assume that the portal would have sent us to one of the three surrounding realms, so we are either in AvLee, Bracada, or Erathia." She replies, looking at their surroundings. "and from the look of this forest, I would say we have landed in AvLee." The two begin walking along through the forest, still sore from their harsh landing, seeking out anyone they can to determine exactly where they are. "So, what kind of creatures inhabit AvLee, love?" The boy asks her, smiling as he observes the numerous assortment of foliage surrounding them. "Well, AvLee is one of the Elven Realms, so the most common creatures here would be Elves and Pixies." Bradley's face absolutely glows from excitement upon hearing her assessment. "You mean that this realm is populated by different kinds of fey type creatures?" Amanda turns to her lover and gives him a warm smile. "That's right, your a fey fanatic, aren't you. Well, I guess before we return to earth we will have to meet some faeries."
The boy is overwhelmed with excitement at meeting a real live faerie, and continues barraging his lover with question after question regarding the creatures. "Are faeries really only several inches tall?" "Do faeries really like to cause mischief?" "Are faeries as carefree and playful as the legends say?" "Are all faeries really sex addicts." "What exactly is the difference between faeries and pixies?" "Pixies have antennae, right?" "Are sirens more like harpies or faeries?" "Is there different kinds of faeries each with their own magical element." "Do faerie females outnumber the men like I've heard." "Are all faeries flawless and busty?" "Are there types of faeries that are vorish as you?" "Do you eat faeries?" In his excitement, he doesn't bother waiting for answers, he just keeps spewing question after question. Eventually, his ridiculous line of questioning causes Amanda to break out laughing. "Jeez, Bradley, will you cool it. What do I look like, an encyclopedia? I've never met faeries either, remember. I have lived my whole life on earth just like you have." Blushing, the boy looks down at his feet. "I'm sorry Amanda. I guess I got a little carried away." Smiling, Amanda wraps her arm around her lover and kisses his cheek. "Don't worry about it, I understand. Personally, I'm excited to. Just don't go leaving me for some faerie skank or I'll eat you." She giggles at her remark, and Bradley smiles too. "You know I wouldn't do that. Faeries or not, I'm with you till the end." He wraps his arm around her shoulder, letting her lean against him, and they continue on like that, to the great unknown.
-The End?
