It all starts
with a softball.
You're out
walking one afternoon down by the farm. Not a block from your house,
and only a hundred yards from the edge of the cornfield. It's corn
now, anyway. Sometimes its soybeans. Crop rotation, you guess.
You take a
short cut through the rough ground between the corn and the woods,
avoiding the poison ivy you know grows under the trees, and there you
see it. A softball, sitting in a patch of grass with a downed tree on
one side and a few shrubs on the other.

"I'm good." Ashley called back, positioning herself so that she was kneeled behind Chloe on all fours with the tip of her nose tickling her rea

What she was doing now was the first thing that acted along those ideals, and the prospect of what awaited her was both exciting and terrifying. It was said that the quiet ones were the people you had to watch out for. It was a nice, sunny day. A young boy named George, wearing a green shirt and blue jeans, walked towards a big, fat wolf Anthro wearing a chef's hat and an apron. The wolf was Pierre, the famous mascot of a fun park where kids could get eaten. George smiled at the huge creature, who was currently handing tickets for the fun park to kids. Studio lights beat down on the presenter in her perfectly cut scarlet dress. She wiped her forehead down and took a gulp from the water bottle an assistant offered. “Is my makeup good?” A nod of assent from the assistant. She handed back the bottle and plastered on a smile. Her ivory teeth almost shining.
The camera moved forward and the director nodded. &ldqu

The
smoke in the room hung in the air, thick and scented in its perfumed
state. Low light cascaded around the crimson covered walls, emitted
from the candles that were placed on every table in the restaurant.
Shadows danced around the room as waiters rushed to and fro holding
trays of luscious and exotic foods, and the heavy scent of spice
wafted through the air. Seth hated spice. The aroma of it made his
eyes water and even mild dishes made his mouth and body intolerab
