Elli sat with her back to a large, soft-barked tree, and watched the aftermath, with Charles perched once more on her knee. She felt shaken still, and yet also strangely detached. Her gaze travelled absently over what the Felaryans, her friends and acquaintances in this savage place, were doing, as though she barely knew them. Beside her, Tarynn was lying on the grass with her hands on her belly, groaning softly, her angular face tight with discomfort. She was probably feeling excessively full.

I'm very glad it did you good... and that it fits in well enough with the tone of the series. :)
I did hope I'd got Xnixi's character and mindset right, so that's a relief. She does feel it's ethically questionable to unleash predators on helpless natives... but advancing her career is ultimately preferable to sabotaging herself by taking a stand on an issue she can't actually do much (if anything) about.
Plus, she can tell herself she's doing important conservation work. It's all for a good cause - even if part of her knows that's just a convenient excuse for sexy entertainment. :D
And while much of her sweet nature is authentic, she's clever enough to have ensured that Avrinn has become fond of her and supportive of her.
I'm kind of curious myself now as to how Xnixi will enjoy being the knowledgeable, 'civilised' and assertive one in relation to her newly acquired pet. Lily probably has a bewildering time ahead of her. But hey, at least she isn't being digested by something unearthly and strange. :p

This was such a delightful surprise! It took longer than I wanted to find time to give it the attention it deserved, but this is such a pitch-perfect installment into the earth-girls series! Reading this has really brightened an otherwise very exhausting week.
Centering on Xnixi and her burgeoning career was perfect for this. I feel like you captured her and her dynamic with Avrinn beautifully. Her genuine sweetness in contrast to Avrinn's sharper, hedonistic disposition, but with a certain underlying ambition, and a willingness to leverage that impression as cute and naive to her benefit.
The hghlorb parents feeding their offspring was the best sort of 'wholesome vore', while still keeping that erotic horror aspect, at least from the perspective of the unfortunate earth-girls, and the vore sequences themselves were an absolute delight. I have every confidence the hghlorb will fit into their new ecosystem with voracious enthusiasm! And you even gave them the same sort of silly, semi-unpronounceable names I always give my creatures. It's so perfect! xD.
The fact that Avrinn was secretly keeping tabs on Xnixi the whole time is very in character. She genuinely cares, and would want to be in position to pull Xnixi out of trouble if she fumbled, but also just couldn't resist being on-site in the middle of the action, even if she's not commentating.
I also very much approve of Xnixi's 'adoption' of Lily at the end. Her having an earth-girl she can teach 'tricks' to is fertile ground for rampant sexiness, but I also like that it's a reversal of the dynamic she has with Avrinn – Xnixi gets to be the more knowledgeable 'space babe' from an advanced civilization, while Lily is comparatively clueless and dependent. This is 100% canon as far as I'm concerned, and I will most definitely reference her 'progress' as Xnixi's pet if/when there are further installments in the earth-girl series.
This really shows you can hit that erotic horror/comedy vibe I like to go for every bit as well as I do, with some of the added wholesomeness you do so well.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. And that's a good question! I think you might be right: The women eaten by the infant hghlorb may find that they remain in its stomach even longer than those eaten by its parents, as the young stomach carefully digests them.

I like to think of it like this especially if she's craving. Pregnancy is a difficult time and if she's craving you as a shrinky, then she needs your body and its nutrients more than you do. Giving yourself up is basically a service to help her along. It's kind of wholesome in a twisted way.

It took a while, but eventually almost all the food had been eaten – except for the guests themselves. They helped Vivee clear away and wash the plates, cutlery and used dishes, and bag the remaining food into the fridge. Then, with Twinkle having ambled back off to his own activities in the back garden, Vivee and her fifteen guests assembled once more in the dining room, and sat themselves down.

Haven't kept up with you in a while but I enjoyed the whole latest saga here a lot. You are still a master at your craft. Poor naive Erika though, kinda slow on the uptake there. I posted a status update over on deviantArt, but I didn't think to do the same here. September to December is always a busy period for me at work, but in addition, I now have a girlfriend, and as she lives some distance away and we both work full time, we've been spending most of our week-ends together. Which is great, from my perspective, but has left me even less time in which to write.
Maybe I'll have a bit more time in January to get back into the IVC final.
