“Could you please list your medical conditions?”
The female voice was polite, and pleasant enough despite the slight mumbliness her teeth forced, but I was used to that. I stayed reclined on the fake-leather couch, a slowly spinning ceiling fan gave slight circulation to the warm, muggy air. All the windows were closed, as it was a bit chill outside for her type of Guest, but shadows of passing cars flying overhead lent an almost rhythmic play of shadow across bookshelves whose dead

A story about how one human deals with society decades after the 'invasion' of an alien society with malleable genetics, voracious appetites, and a distinctly inhuman mentality about life and death.

My first standalone short story here in like two years; low smut-to-text ratio, but I enjoyed writing it as a more think-y philosophical vore story, myself!

I wish I'd made more of a point to read stories from excellent authors earlier on. It was a delight to read your alien eschaton.

Sehnsucht - 6 years ago

Gorgeous story. Perfused with a kind of long, slow severing of ties, and the sadness that comes with it. Nice contrast with the vore flirting and kudos on making those ties seem real enough to matter to the reader in such a short time.

Loved the concept, world and characters. Loved the ending, with its change of tense. Just a wonderful conceptual vore story!

Super well-written story! I love this kind of societal exploration, where humans have grown up believing that they're food.

I write a lot of stuff in a similar-feeling setting, though with furries instead of aliens -- this has given me a lot of ideas and inspiration :)

In the clearing, Vasha finally looked down and away from Arik. “You’re right,” she admitted. “Our duty is to get them home, and we have to- it’s going to take both of us.” The hircine Champion looked back up, straightening. “We’ll start back the way we came, staying off traveled roads. We get them back to the capital, whatever it costs, and then get our new orders. We agree?”

I vote for Option C. Hopefully Vasha's fast enough to lead it away and then meet back up. Gotta protect the ducal heirs!

As for Galya, I'd say play with him for a bit then eat him. He's done for either way, and besides, a girl needs a little fun once in a while.

Razgriz - 7 years ago

For Galya; can she identify if he's under some kind of spell? Talk to him to meet the person before deciding anything. Maybe use your emotional power to try and discern these things. Then, well. Whatever? It'd be far more cruel to let him walk into a succubus.

For the main vote: I imagine you'd have to use water or fire against this thing if you went option A, but we don't know how strong it is against an individual opponent - we could stay up the tree and blast it from above.

With it being so fast, B would be the safest...? But then how would Vasha catch up to the others? She'd have to attack it when it caught up to the others. Which would make it 2v1 at least, but they'd get little warning about it unless you shouted it all out when it got near enough. Though if she can just stealth by it to rejoin the others - that would work, too. Maybe our hunky lycan can make a quick trap for it.

Leading it in the wrong direction is risky. Do we know it has Stamina? It could simply run faster and longer than us.. I don't really like C.

So, if it were my vote. I'd go B. We did promise not to take unnessicary risks, afterall.

As night began to fall, Vasha and Arik finished rendering what aid they could to the civilians caught in the demonic ambush with them. Physical healing wasn’t a problem, but to the worry that they were now going to be spending a terrified night without shelter or food- well, there would be a caravan along at some point the next day, and the Champions couldn’t fix everything. As soon as it became too dark for most of the shivering merchants to see them, the Champions slipped away into

Pretty sure our champion vows are to the country and it's people, not our own organization. Plus, the other champions made the same vow. Placing priority on our own group instead of the people our group is supposed to protect seems contradictory.

Also, guaranteeing the safety of the heirs and reporting what's happening in Ashlar can help mobilize the army and let the non-captured champions move in force. Valguuz said she sent 20 demons out just to capture 7 champions with below average results, even with surprise and planned ambushes. So a united front of a few dozen, backed up by military, could be devastating for the demon's plans.

So while it does suck for our fellow champions(and potentially Galya if she get's a reputation as merely an assassin/murderer) I'm going to vote for Option 1.

Tough one.

Days continued to pass, or so Galya thought. Galya slept shallowly, mind twisting and turning in its own corridors as she sought unconsciousness as a respite from both her own roiling emotions and the contented, sated pleasure soaking through her embrace of a hermaphroditic demon that she hadn’t the mental control to ignore. As for the second;

I vote for following the captured champions and revisiting the circumstance, with perhaps a flip to the Ducal daughters!

sansuki - 8 years ago

There's nothing wrong with overthinking. There are risks and benefits to both of those options. Galya's going to be rolling against corruption at a pretty set rate IC, and it's a pretty easy roll to make- whether or not we keep focus on her only really matters inasmuch as it gives this thread more chances to shove her down a demonic path and start racking up penalties to those easy rolls.

Lerkur - 8 years ago

I'd say Refuse. We're unlikely to be taught anything offensive that could be used against Valguuz. And while a defensive technique sounds handy after that one time we had a critical failure against a harpy's song, we might only be taught a defensive technique that can be easily countered(Although I'm basing this off of a story where a character was taught a defensive spell, only to learn that the one who taught/created it had a way to cancel the effect to keep it from being used against them, and the character was promptly killed for their trust). Add in that this might just be another way to corrupt us/oblige us to their cause, and the pros are out weighed by the cons.

Or am I really overthinking this, and this is just an option to learn a new ability at the risk of corruption?

As for the second choice, I'm leaning towards the timeskip. Only because I have a sinking suspicion that if we shift focus away from Galya, the next time we see her, she'll be almost to completely corrupted. Am I overthinking this as well?

Mayonne kept looking for some way that her luck might be a trap. She had a Champion- an actual, live Champion- in her bed, and expressing a cautious interest in letting Mayonne eat her but not digest as a way to tease out who might be in on the conspiracy… without seemingly knowing that Mayonne was, herself, in it! And yet, everything the elf’s senses told her weighed in on this Galya being entirely honest and forthright. After their slimy “experience” together… w

What if... Mayonne, instead of being an innocent arcanist, was part of the demonic conspiracy when Galya offered herself up as a meal?

I should be back now! Sorry, convention and then a bit of personal trouble held me out longer than I thought, To get back into the groove of things, have a what-if story to enjoy that multiple people'd asked for!

Kaoru - 8 years ago

See, I kind of love this. Usually, Sansa, "what-if" stories are kind of hit or miss (not from you - just in general) - and kind of fall flat, because you know that's 'not the way things went', and ultimately you don't gain much except one of your favorite authors descriptively ending an important character, from them.

But the portion of this story after Mayonne had finished off Galya - the portion with the Duchess - made this story so much more to me than a 'what if Mayonne was on the other side secretly and didn't let Galya out', which was, by the by, LOVELY in your words.

It made it a character study. It was fascinating to see the Duchess' genuine reactions. It was fascinating to see Mayonne show a different side of herself. And it honestly enriches the main story, for me. Even if it's a cheeky peek behind the curtain (possibly!) as to how much Galya's supposed grandmother cares about her life or death. (Which, of course, assumes it'd be the same between our Prime Storyline and this offshoot, which is hardly guaranteed.)

Bravo and thank you!

Forstand - 8 years ago

aww yiss!

Lerkur - 8 years ago

Really good what-if story here! Looks like Mayonne still managed to come out on top despite thoroughly getting on Valguuz's bad side. It's nice to see things go her way in at least one timeline. Either way, as a well padded elf or as padding on a demon, Mayonne's likely still looking pretty good. :p And welcome back, Sansuki!

As Galya laid on the table, a demoness claiming to be her grandmother looking down at her, Galya felt… confused. There was a part of her that accepted the tale- and a part of her that rebelled against the very idea that she was part demon. Torn, Galya bit her lip and let her mind race around inside her skull, blinking back the tears of denial or grief as the demoness stared down at her with a thin smile.
“You can’t expect,” she finally said, “To just… be be

Kaoru - 8 years ago

Goodness. I thought I'd voted on this. I had a whole write-up and everything. Oh, well.

Poor Mayonne. Out of respect for her, I'm putting all cringe-inducing mayonnaise jokes aside.

Let's think about this in terms of story-added-value. Galya's adventure has entered the sincere stage. The first real, great threat has materialized, and it's her grandmother.

Galya's having too much of a good time to be easily-rescued right now, which the Moles (the underground, catacomb-dwelling Resistance) most certainly will have heard from the kitchen staff. There's a few dead Champions out there, a few more captured, a few more at large, and a dangerous lack of knowledge of what's going on in the Duchy.

So, sincerely, my vote is for 4 - ESCAPE, and 6 - LINK UP with the captured champions on their way to the castle, and rescue THEM if possible, because we're likely talking about a small handful of guards against a castle full of full-blooded demons, and that's some awful odds. A small handful of guards against 5 demons, exhausted and likely wounded from fighting Champions, two of them likely crippled, with two Champions as captives... now we're talking.

Succeed or fail, denying the Duchess living Champions to brainwash is likely more important in the bigger picture than being a thorn in her side underneath the castle, or sabotaging her defenses for an army that may not be coming, or rescuing Galya, who probably won't leave anyway if she thinks Li was captured. Getting the knowledge of what's being done, to safety, is likewise of crucial importance.

Toadba - 8 years ago

Remain, and ????. Ie: Remain, and surrender!

I mean, its better to be a slave then an appetizer, right? :P

vore2412 - 8 years ago

6. For Guerilla warfare, killing any possible food supplies the demonic forces can get their hooves on, burning their comforts, basically make it so inhospitable that they're forced to retreat. And I suppose, since 3. sort of goes with it, Sabotage would be good as well, though 5 works in that too...probably 6 and 3, have the guards be a very large nuisance at the least.

Chronicle - 8 years ago

Looks like I came back to an exciting few updates. Just going to say, I suppose I called her other half.

As for options 3-Sabatage would be the best offensive option. As for a more long term plan, that's a castle full of hungry demons, so 6-depriving them of their food source by evacuating the entire town overnight. It's a wild card, but if there aren't many actual demons guarding the surrounding town, getting as many people into wagons and riding off into the sunset can seriously cripple them.

Looking forwards to the update

Act4 - 8 years ago

Ah.. Mayonne's death was unfortunate, I had hoped we could do something to ensure her survival, but alas we were unlucky. Here death however, did allow us to kill the Duke and throw the Duchesses plan into chaos, especially since now Conzi is now technically the true heir, making her escape now a paramount concern to the Duchess.

For the guards, I'd say we should go for Option 3 as they can still pose as a thorn in the Duchesses side and cause her to slow her plans down as well as how many she can send to go find Conzi and Katena as she has to divert some of her forces to dealing with this pest instead, especially when she is already down on manpower as it is. She'll be forced to spread her forces thin, and she can't be everywhere right now.

I would then make a suggestion for Option 6. Have the guards recruit the local townspeople to their cause. These guards were likely from the town and should have many friends within it. And now that the Duke is dead, they can blame the Duchesses and the demons. Who would believe that a champion would have killed him, especially when a demons tells them that she did? Or that the same champion was supposedly killed the day prior? The guards can use his death as a banner to rally the town behind. Which would they rather side with, the demons who forcefully took over their home and slew their Duke? Or their friends who valiantly fought to protect him and by extension, them? This will give the guards more a boon to their numbers and might raise their moral and help with any other future operations they decide to carry out. I'm not suggesting the townsfolk fight, merely that they give their support to the guards and help with the continued resistance against the demons.

Granted the Duke was now revealed to be colluding with the demon and the guards probably aren't as courageous as I make them out to be. But somethings might be better off untold, we can make the Duke out to be a tragic figure for now, and then let the truth out when things settle.

Galya listened to the new duchess’s speech with half attention, letting the rest of her brain chew on tactics. If she struck here, now, and succeeded, it’d probably decapitate the nascent demonic attack into her kingdom. Probably. Her odds of survival were next to zero, though, and Galya couldn’t make herself believe there wasn’t a hidden set of protections somewhere- archers out of view or something similar- that would take her down before she could land a second blow. I

Kaoru - 8 years ago

Ask for proof.

We've known something was up for a while. The anecdotal evidence is strong that it's sincere. After all, even pure Belief would not in any way guarantee we'd assist this demonic takeover of the kingdoms of humankind. So then, the only point to telling the truth is to prepare for something... else.

So I'm all for getting some evidence while we can.

Forstand - 8 years ago

Believe

Lerkur - 8 years ago

Hmm. Believing might make us easier to control, since we aren't denying/defying her. And Disbelieving might just lead to us getting added to the demonic GMILFs hips. So while I do believe that Galya's part demon and even that she's Lady Valguuz's granddaughter, I say we ask for evidence. Besides, we might not be getting the whole story. Lies might be mixed in with truth, and getting some more testimony/evidence might give us something to contradict her on. And even if it's all true, it just means we have to erase any evidence of our true heritage.

Also, quick roundup of the Duchy's cast. Duchess Mara, the eldest son Venosa and the merchant leader/spymaster Vicaria are all reported dead. Carafa was taken care of personally, and is now dutifully providing fuel to our hero's fight. Gesualdo is missing but reported to have escaped. Conzi and Katena are safe with the unnamed Thaumaturge. The Duke is alive, but might not survive the impending honeymoon. Lastly, Mayonne is collared and caged with the other slaves. Still no signs of the captured Champions.

Angle for a meeting alone! To be specific, use "Conzi" as the lubricant~

Coin cant mean toooo much to a demoness... I say barter with the demon, and use that silvertongue and social prowess. Offer to transfer Conzi's ownership in exchange for an intimate evening between the three of them in the royal chambers... and perhaps a position in whatever plans the demoness has next.

After that evening of sharing, we would agree to hand over Conzi completely. Plan to do the deed then.

Kaoru - 8 years ago

Oh dear.

You know, Galya is barely holding it together when so much as brushed by these lesser demons.

And if the Demoness-Duchess is as powerful as she seems, I don’t think the “showy” assassination will work in Galya’s favor. If she’s dead-set on disrupting the wedding, she’s going to need privacy. Galya’s strongest skills are still her silver tongue and touch-empathy.

I’ve got to vote for Option C. She needs to lure the Ducheness (can I do that? Contract that? Oh gosh...) - away from the party, using all of her guile and wit and her innate ability to feel out social situations. Parties are her place. It shouldn’t be hard to create a feasible reason to see the Ducheness in private.

I’m still not convinced this will go well for her. An untrained demon was an open book - until Cara realized what Galya was doing - but this foe seems to be a different caliber. Yet the demons all seem somewhat relatable. If Galya can subtly use her empathic skills to get the Ducheness to trust her, she has an opening to kill her in private. Or devour her. Which is likely more reliable than a poisoned dagger.

SirScotty - 8 years ago

I vote for Option B. If she *is* onto you, getting in private is going to go poorly very fast, where she's prepared for trickery.

Additionally, if Galya remains in her disguise as a demon, she could potentially attempt to seize control of the gathering, forestalling a chaotic battle to escape from.

Lerkur - 8 years ago

Rest in Pudge, random serving girl. Your sacrifice is for an attractive cause. :p I'm guessing our illusion would have been compromised if she had spilled the champagne and our clothes didn't stain, right?

Anyways, it's probably for the best if we keep playing to our strengths, and and negotiate ourselves closer to Valguuz. So, I'm going to vote for Option C as well.

Razgriz - 8 years ago

The Demoness seems to have quite a bit of ability over Galya; so do some of the others here. Fighting or assassinations are not going to go well. It might be time to get our collared friend out of here.

Thinking; distract/seduce guard while this thing goes on. Get our collared friend to drop her spell on herself subtly, get her out as part of your 'reward' or slit the guards throat and take his key. And simply walk on out.

The strangest thing about the castle, Galya quickly decided, was how little had changed. That wasn’t a surprise, or at least shouldn’t have been, since they’d been in charge for scarcely a day, but it still rocked her. Some of the tapestries had been taken down, yes. The halls were a little warmer, or felt that way, and there was a faint smell of incense that no human would have willingly chosen for a castle. But the walls still looked the same, the furniture hadn’t chang

Option D: Seduce the other demons and the duchess. Might receive many invitations to bed, but of course, one from the duchess is paramount to all the others.

Forstand - 8 years ago

Option A. Talking and Flirting are our strengths. Maybe we can bullshit our way through till we get a chance.

Toadba - 8 years ago

Option D, Write in!

Proceed with the pleasantries. We're a good talker, so keep the surrounding demons on a leash of our own, seducing and talking our way out of any touching to hopefully control the situation around us. Maybe, if we put on enough of a show, we can tempt the duchess into wanting us for herself! Inviting us to her chambers where we can properly do the deed~.

Lerkur - 8 years ago

I have my doubt for Option B. I could easily see the dice turning against us, leading to Galya being killed, or at least injured again, which would cost us down the road. Option C seems bad in that, it sounds like Mayonne will be killed and/or compromised as part of the festivities or if Valguuz get's her hands on her. A seasoned predator might be able to tell the difference in taste between elf skin and human skin, or she might take the collar off to hear what she thinks might be Conzi's screams. Though we could possibly hand a vial of poison off to Mayonne and have the poison get swallowed with her. If it's fast acting enough, she might not get digested before the poison takes hold(though that's wishful thinknig at this point). We could also go down with the poison ourselves if we think we going to be eaten by Valguuz.

While Option A get's us closer to whatever Valguuz hinted at having in store for Conzi/Mayonne, we can't do much now anyway. So, let's sit, eat, flirt, and ask about the demons plans for the champions. We might find out where they're hidden, and we might even find out what the demons had in mind for Galya, and why her faked death changed their plans so drastically. So, my vote is a cross between Option A and an Option D write-in of ask about the champions.

Well, since I've already written off Galya for dead lets go with option C. And be as vulgar as possible.

“Tomorrow,” Galya said weakly. “And it’s already noon?”
“Tomorrow.” Mayonne nodded, head jerking up and down like a marionette. “Galya, what- what are we going to do?”
“Get Conzi out of her collar,” the Champion said reflexively. “While I think. Have you…?”

There are a few ways to look at it. Yeah, Galya's new at all this, and had unpromising training, and has still been beating up demons. So, either she's actually blossomed once she got to really fight and is way, way better than expected, or the demons aren't that good if they're not executing one of their own schemes, or they have some secret weapon. Which vote wins this kind of calibrates the magnitude of the mystery of why things are going on the way they are, but I'll still be figuring out/writing/revealing the exact reasons, if that makes sense!

“We’re getting you out of here,” Katena said, shakily. “We can’t leave you behind. Help me get them on horses,” she told the elven arcanist sternly. Galya leaned against one of the stable railings, coughing. She was going to slow them down, she was painfully aware, and it might be that her staying behind with a crossbow to stall would get them further, but… she knew what was waiting for her if she did. Besides- these two, with a shell shocked Mayonne an

The wedding is in a day, you think that invite is for anyone other than us? No. It's a victory announcement. Bragging. And definitely a trap.

Lerkur - 8 years ago

Abandoning our post would cement our failure and give the demons enough time to properly entrench ourselves. Another thing to consider is that Valguuz has already bedded the injured Duke and is already pregnant. Arranging the wedding can be enough for whatever bastard child that's born to have a claim, especially if they kill off thee rest of the kids. Also, this whole wedding is a good sign that the son isn't involved, as he would be claiming the Duchy at this point, and he'd have to be eliminated for any child of Valguuz to be considered an heir. Though he might have been killed in the fighting already, and with the other two heirs missing, they need to make a new one.

My vote is mostly for Option 2, though we might want to try and infiltrate the wedding. The wedding might just be a trap, but a trap for the two daughters and Mayonne, seeing as none of the demons have seen Galya yet and lived. They may have put two and two together from all the butchered demons in random rooms, but that leads to my idea.

Carafa mentioned that the captured champions might be used as castle guards. And if they're using mind-controlled champions as guards, perhaps they're going to be brought in for the wedding. Perhaps we could infiltrate the castle during the wedding, find one of them and try to break whatever control has been placed on them. If they're collared like Conzi, we'll have to see if we can remove the collar safely(Maybe just pick the lock?). Stopping the wedding might be impossible or pointless, but if we can free a champion or two, we can start a serious resistance! Barring that, use the wedding as a cover to sneak in and rescue any allies that might be tied up and about to become part of the catering for the wedding reception

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

:D

Act4 - 8 years ago

Yeah...just a wee bit, maybe a little more.

Also I noticed that we lost the trait disrespected last chapter and this chapter. Is that intentional? I thought that trait meant people would approach us differently as a result, or was it only Gaylas perception that she was disrespected?

Act4 - 8 years ago

Monsters seem to be regarding as a threat by the general populace. By recruiting monsters we would then push away most of the potential castle towns recruits, and unless fandangle some way to convince the populace that both monster and humans could work together, we will only be able to work with one or the other.

If you meant my plan regarding the wedding. Problem is, we don't exactly know where they are, let alone who they are. We really only have one clue and that being the mention during the hunting party but not much else. While they could be listed as a potential advantage, I fear there may not be enough time to pursue their aid.

Galya, in the end, had a duty, and had years of training and indoctrination to that duty. She could no more abandon the possibly-already-dead Duke’s eldest daughter to a fate arguably worse than death as a demon’s brainwashed slave than she could walk on air. There was no universe where Galya’s response to the demonic challenge was anything other than violence. She already had her sword out, and she pointed it at the armored, suspiciously-gendered demon in full armor pacing slo

Option 3, last stand of the Champions!

Toadba - 8 years ago

Act4 - 8 years ago

I believe it best to pursue self preservation, a noble sacrifice would allow those we've saved to escape the castle, true. But what then? a young girl and a wounded arcanist, and a dazed girl wont get too far on their without protection. No, it would be best to accompany them to ensure they survive and should be a primary concern.

Depending on how many horses are still in the stable we may be able to lead them all out and cause a distraction that could buy us enough time in the confusion to escape and hide. Since it is dark it could take awhile for the demons to hunt the trail. The wounds we have and the blood dropping from Conzi should be cleaned and dressed, to ensure we won't be followed as quickly. Conzi particularly, our blood is typical and could be seen as just someone escaping, so they may not pursue us that hard, after all, the champion Galya is still suppose to be dead remember? But demon blood would be a dead give away and would point any pursuers to our location, we should use the hay on the ground to wipe the blood off of Conzi before we ride off. We could even cut one of the horses to mask our own blood if we really wanted to.

When it comes to just how far we should go, I'd say the safe bet would be option 1, but that would put us in a precarious position and give us little chance to recover. Instead I would suggest option 2. By masking our trail in the stables and by having all the horses in the stable run, we could create enough time for us to get into the town and hide. I would advise the small village instead of running as it would allow us time to recover and catch our bearings. It would also allow us time to determine the situation and the results of what is and currently happening and perhaps save more people. We also have the woods nearby that we could flee to if the need arises. The risks would largely be that we are in demon territory and could be found at any time.

But in the long run I believe option 2 to be our best bet.

Mayonne didn’t have any words of wisdom about how to proceed, looking at the injured Galya warily. “Let me… get you some more healing,” the arcanist said. “It’s not real healing, but- it’ll keep you fighting. You’ll still need rest and real medical attention, after-”
“Mayonne,” Galya said, “If I’m not demon fat by dawn, I’ll have time to worry about medical attention. Pour whatever you’ve got down my thro

Option 3, with getting any other royalty out if the Baron is unreachable a prority.

vore2412 - 8 years ago

Modified #3: Getting the Duke would be nice. Getting out alive is vital. So snatch and grab if it would be feasible, otherwise settle for any of the royal family she can get her hands on, younger sister, older sister, or princes, and get out of there in order to be able to regroup and allow Mayonne time to get her spells ready for combat and Galya time to heal her leg.

Toadba - 8 years ago

Option 1, but before escaping find the youngest daughter. She's the lowest in succession but likely the lowest priority for the demons out of the family. If the Duke and Duchess are dead we need to at least find one member of the royal line, if nothing else.

Lerkur - 8 years ago

Hmm. If evasive maneuvers are more dangerous the offensive ones, perhaps Option #4 is the best choice after all.

Heck with it. We've been evasive enough. Plus, if we flaunt the fact that the one they wanted alive wasn't elf pudge, the demons might change their tactics.

SirScotty - 8 years ago

Voting for option 4. Galya is a Champion, gods dammit. This is literally in the job description. First thing's first though, she needs healing. Mayonne has to have some more healing potions.

After that, she needs backup. I get the distinct impression that Galya functions better as an ambush predator than a line combatant. Getting guards to act as bait and decoys is high on the list of things that would help with that.

The Champion’s heart pounded as Mayonne got up and came back with a bucket of water, carefully pouring it over Galya’s head to rinse off any remaining acids. Another blanket was sacrificed to gently dab- she felt the slight tearing pain the first time Mayonne tried to wipe her down- her dry, and then the elf got up again, pulling a few healing potions out of her bookcase. “You might- might have had another half hour,” Mayonne hissed. “You shouldn’t have-&rdquo

"Mistress" could mean the Duchess, either of her daughters, Vicaria, or even Mayonne(if serious trickery was afoot, though it's unlike). Or it could just be Carafa, serving as "middle management" for dark forces. We can't say for sure since the male demon is MIA, and the female demon is decorating Galya's hips amd thighs.

Still, fun read! Nice application of pseudo-willing prey here. I'm guessing this was meant to be revealed whenever we found out about Gesualdo's predator fetish. Kinda curious what other what-if stories might be in the works, but we'll all just have to be patient.

Tiny, with just a bowl of water on a stand and a rumpled, unmade pair of sheets on a low-slung cot jammed into a corner. It smelled pretty strongly of the arcanist herself, and Galya’s nostrils flared as she took it in. “Cozy” was one word for the room. With a sigh, she rubbed her throat and took her robe

Forstand - 8 years ago

Option #4, and Galya eats Carafa

vore2412 - 8 years ago

Option one will probably garner some angry reactions to those that thought that Mayonne digested Galya but will at least save her from censure. Option two might have Mayonne in more trouble with the court, but will give Galya time to interrogate her captive. If Carafa feeds anyone, I think it should be Mayonne since the poor elf was deprived of a meal. But first, interrogation to see even how deeply involved in this the quarter elf is. I disagree with the having Galya impersonate Carafa, if solely for the reason that it seems likely that it would end badly with the demons easily piercing the illusions themselves if Carafa is working for them.

So with all that said, my choice is a modified option two. I agree that Galya should interrogate Carafa, and possibly devour her with the antacid that Mayonne used on her to see if her empathy is a two-way thing. The reactins from the council that Mayonne garners on having digested their Champion fully will prove more insightful I think, especially if any of them had been collaborating with Carafa. It's possible that they'll be upset with her, but that couldn't last forever and Galya will eventually be revealed to be alive sans demonic intervention to free Carafa or Carafa somehow escaping and ingesting Galya herself.

Standing there doubled over and still coughing, Galya tried to answer Mayonne quickly, but ended up gagging out another little chunk of slime. As it steamed on the stone floor, the Champion finally got her breath gathered. “When you- injected me,” she gasped, “When it hit the slime, I felt- it burned,” she said before coughing again. “I tried to gasp for air, but your body was in the way. When I caught my breath, I spat you out-” She took a deep, heaving gasp,

Razgriz - 8 years ago

Could tell her to ingest the guard. Since.. Technically we don't know she's not 'in' the enemy side. This could be an excuse to off us; she even admits as much and some geniuses would go as far as to play it off as a joke.

We should investigate the castle, see if we can't find who the messenger is and make them talk. Option 3 would be too difficult to come back from.

Act4 - 8 years ago

I'd say option 3 would give us a more direct depth into who might have a hand to play in all this. Granted, there is a great deal of trust that has to be placed in Mayonne, someone we barely know.

I would make a small amendment to option 3 before accepting it however. I'd suggest bring a third party into this plan, namely the only other person we've discussed things with, being Vicaria. Not only would this provide another pair of eyes for the spectacle and provide much more information, but she would be able to ensure our safety and survival, if but a little bit more.

If this can't be accomplished then I would take option 1 instead, as all roads seem to point there.

Lerkur - 8 years ago

The trick with Mayonne's plan is that, even if she doesn't add our hero to her elven curves(Not that I would mind that), it might only defame Galya. The one we're trying to lure out might not be too worried about the fate of one Champion, especially if they're capturing more than one champion, and just wants as many as possible.

So if we fake Galya's death and digestion, and nothing comes from it, how do we explain ourselves when she's proven to be alive? Or do we just continue the Farce, and try to flee our post? If we do go with Option 3, live and yet learn nothing, we might want to go make an emergency report, since no one will be looking for a dead elf.

Anyway, that's just the What-If scenario. I vote for Option #1. Hearing the other side's story might reveal some lies from the Duchy side.

After some thought, Galya stayed quiet as the arcanist worked with a look of absorbed concentration on her face. Instead, picking up a tray of what looked like useful implements, Galya stood beside Mayonne- out of the light- and wordlessly held it up for her to be able to easily snatch from. That meant that the half-elf had a front row seat for Mayonne’s grisly work, trying not to think of what it portended for her own infection. With the guard unconscious, Mayonne didn’t seem to thi

Yes, Galya has thought multiple times about her first prey, before she was a champion, but we haven't gotten any details really. If it related to this at all, I'd love to hear it, and I think it would quell the hungrier commenters here as well.

Graywolf18 - 8 years ago

Agreed on all counts. Our new friend should be able to help find out what's happening in and around Galya. Also, I remember vividly Galya's spider snack and the demon lunchable... but who was the first again? I don't really think that was mentioned. Am I missing something or was that just foreshadowing?

As tempting as it is to try and make a meal of Mayonne (and/or fail and become a meal ourselves), they're a strong ally and can help us learn things that we couldn't otherwise. Plus, our strengths are in dialogue, not grappling.

Toadba - 8 years ago

Hmm hmm hmm~

Well honestly I'm going to cast my vote for aggressive! Well we're locked in a room, and need some manner of treatment, she's not the most friendly of people! Perhaps trading a few insults and digs will bring us closer together :P haha

Though keeping a slightly flirtatious tone as well would be best! Probing, but hedonistic... as is tradition! ;3

Lerkur - 8 years ago

If she wanted to kill us on the operating table, she wouldn't have said we were clean and tried to shoo us out. Plus, we're barricaded in and infected. Since we kind of need her to cure us anyway, I think that we should trust her. Plus, threatening her might actually encourage her to double cross us when we're at risk of infection.

Since flirting at this pointing would probably make us look that much dumber to her, idle chat seems better. If we can't just chat, I vote we ask her about herself. It's not like we can just eat the elf girl while she working in our throats, and blame it on the infected guard..... Right? :3

Graywolf18 - 8 years ago

I doubt asking her opinion of the other people in the castle would result in anything less than scathing insults. Might as well ask her about herself than, nothing pointless like hobbies or "why'd you decide to be a wizard lady?" or other such questions as they'd likely just annoy her. Asking her for magic lessons could be interesting.... unless we're instantly shot down. :/

Kinda hard to deal with people like Mayonne. Bah, fuck it. I talked myself out of everything I wanted to know so I'll just go with; Ask her about herself.

Act4 - 8 years ago

If anything we may as well ask her a few questions, given that we are going to be stuck here for several hours, we could find out what could have happened if we delayed our return, as well as ask her about the drooler itself, find out more about it and maybe learn something new in the process. Also we might try and find out what her opinion was about the previous champion Joanna. Along with this we should ask about herself and get to know her personality better.

I'd say we should be watching Mayonne's actions and stay on guard as best we can. After all, whose to say there isn't going to be some "accident" tonight, and even though she tried her best she just couldn't save us.

Since there won't be anyone coming down to help us until morning or unless she says so, we probably need to be very alert and careful with our words. In short, we wont be getting a good nights sleep tonight.

Crossing over to the door, Galya checked whether she’d remembered to lock it- the handle gave way easily. Had she- she couldn’t have just forgotten to lock it, could she? Or could the spymaster have unlocked it? Certainly she’d have a skeleton key for her work, but then, so would others. The Champion scowled as she regarded the door thoughtfully, piecing through alternatives. It wasn’t arguable that two demons had gotten into her room, somehow. They might have had a key.

SirScotty - 8 years ago

Definitely vote for getting back to the castle *now*. Galya's not in a good position here yet in the first place, let alone if there's suddenly a succession - *especially* since she's new here.

The number one priority should be getting back to the castle, getting treated, and warning the marshal that there was a dangerous, non-native magic beast roaming the hunting grounds so that they can be cleared in more thorough fashion before someone gets killed.

Act4 - 8 years ago

I'd say we should examine the droolers body, see who the host was. And if possible could we store some of the ooze in a flask for future research or to sell it?

I'm in the boat as the others in that we should continuing the hunt, it seems as though someone wants us to turn around, this drooler isn't suppose to be here and was meant for us to find it and not progress on and turn around. I'd suggest we continue to watch the time though, and take a way back home and not the same path we took.

Lerkur - 8 years ago

Risks for either choice, it seems. I'm not sure if the animals were already scared off by the drooler, but we'd still have to fight our way through the harpies if we retreated now, and all it takes is a song from one of them to put everyone at risk, and there's always a chance that the Duke or Duchess might get carried off. I vote we patch up the group, and continue to hunt while we recuperate. Hopefully the drooler wasn't sent by someone.

vore2412 - 8 years ago

Normally I'm for the go for it vote, but with the possibility of becoming fully possessed inside and out, as sexy as I find it in role play, I say go back to the castle and get treated, then continue the hunt. Or have the duchess summon Mayonne to get her elfin butt out there and fix them on the spot so their hunt is uninterrupted. Which could lead to other problems with Galya still digesting the demoness :D

Graywolf18 - 8 years ago

The odds of being attacked again should be kinda low. A predator like the drooler would have scared off most other threats. But we should check the Duchess' arm for the severity of the injury, maybe joke with her about just wanted to feel her muscles. Y'know, playful joke/flirting. However if we do stay, we should make the stipulation of leaving should another encounter arise.

Actually now that I think about it, the drooler would have chased off any game in the area too... so maybe there's that to consider as well. But I'll stick to my guns with toughing it out for now.

Turning at the sudden interjection, Galya saw the ratling merchant scurrying up behind her with a half-filled bottle of wine in her hands, who soon presented it to the Champion as though it were a trophy. Galya raised an eyebrow at Vicaria, silently asking her what she wanted but not being so rude as to push on without her.
“Would you care to have a private drink, Champion?” The ratling asked, expression unreadable. “Away from the others and the need to be… politic?&rdq

Imrhys - 8 years ago

Second this on all counts.

Lerkur - 8 years ago

I don't think we can really keep this hidden. Aside from the fact that we can't fix the window(I'm guessing that the cleaning staff has a spare key), it's likely that whoever sent the demons already knows that we dealt with the attackers. And due to the lack of the demoness' body, likely knows that we're predatory.

I'd say, unless it cancels the plans for the hunt, we report to the Marshall, Gesualdo. Leaving the local law enforcement out of the loop might make them less helpful in the future. Vicaria might be able to help fix the window, but they may have tried to booze us up in anticipation for the attempted kidnapping. If talk of the attack would cancel the hunt, I say, keep it hidden for now. Maybe we can talk about it during the hunt.

Ome - 8 years ago

Hmmm, conceal and go about her day. There is no telling who set the demons on her, or helped them get into Galya's room. Whoever sent them undoubtedly knows they failed, but setting hounds on their trail could cause them to act with much more lethality and rashness before Galya is ready. They failed once, they'll likely be watching now to get a measure on their quarry before acting again, that gives her time.

Vicaria is an unlikely culprit given that a spymaster could of probably found less obvious ways then hiring abducters to break a window and abscond with her, but having the ratling snooping about when things are allegedly rather delicate could raise suspicions even from those not involved. If worst comes to worst, Galya can go to her after the hunt and report things.

Act4 - 8 years ago

Conceal, still need more information before we play our cards.

Galya laughed at the byplay between the Duke and his wife as they politely bickered about putting on a party for her. “I’d be honored if you feel a small, informal get-together would be appropriate,” she told both of the nobles. “I’ve been eager to meet your councilors, and it’ll do me good after that trip to eat a professionally made meal before I get a night’s sleep.” She could study, but- well, Galya never could pass down even a stuffy party.

I'm going to go on a limb and say... Mayonne, the elven High Arcanist. She might be a bit dangerous, but she's blunt and brutally honest, not giving any cover story on Joanna's death (if she won against the dragon, they wouldn't have found her bitten in half and difficult to recognize without a dragon's corpse to go with her own). We have a chance to get a no-bullshit account on things going on here. Second place would probably be the Marshal, but sticking with the first choice.

Gesualdo! Not only is he dropping more hints than are socially necessary, he's also the lynchpin to at least one of the discrepancies in the books.

After hesitating for only a moment, Galya turned on one heel and strode down a side street. The Duchy’s castle wasn’t a proper place to show up smelling like a bird’s nest, not for her formal presentation. This was an important enough ceremonial event that the half-elf figured she should look her best. The “town” clung like a barnacle to the walls of the castle proper, and couldn’t have held more than a few hundred souls. Mostly it seemed like a place for vari

Though we probably need to get to work after this. If there really is trouble brewing and the guards aren't paying much attention to the villagers, then we might have some basic work to catch up on.

Apostolos - 8 years ago

Hmm we should probably mention the worries about a possible larger predator taking up residence in the mountains early on before the character can forget, lots of towns or even countries fall because what seems like a small change in behavior, is actually a massive building threat. Better to be over cautious and wrong than neglecting an actual threat

The Champion took a deep breath. Well, she was going to have to assert her authority in this neck of the woods at some point, and though she’d have preferred to let it wait for her official presentation it seemed that things had come to a head. “Your mate will live,” Galya said. “He’ll be sick for a while- several days,” she estimated. It's probably hard to sneak around when you smell like harpy. Plus, it's likely the middle of the day still, so no cover to sneak around in. And getting caught at this point will likely screw us over in the long run.

So, I'm going with Option B. And I'd like to second Apostalos' suggestion of notifying the guard about their arrival in town. It's probably best to get on their good side now, so we can capitalize on our Silvertongue bonus when dealing with them later.

Talk down the miners.

vore2412 - 8 years ago

Several reasons. One) Galya is a champion, not just a straight-up killer/murderhobo, and the miners did kinda bring it on themselves. Two) These two represent more in the mountains that Galya couldn't hope to fight by herself. Three) The harpies in this region could be persuaded to be informants for Galya, and may have already provided some useful information. Four) Harpies are sexy and it would be nice to see them from time to time in Galya's story.

Lerkur - 8 years ago

From just the listed options, options 2 and 4 seem as fatal as 1, since the town won't take kindly to theft and murder from "monsters", and exiling them will likely just send them straight into whatever they were running from. That being said, they have been robbing and eating townspeople, and we did take a job to protect them. Besides, failing on whatever roll determines her getting away with it will turn the entire city against Galya, even if her badge keeps her from becoming a criminal.

I'd say, try to talk the miners down, and have the harpies try to work off the cost of the cows. More harpies will be coming in before long, so maybe having someone who can relay the laws to them, or at least have the others know that there are consequences for stealing cows. If this doesn't work though, either have the wax ready, or be prepared to K.O./kill/eat the female harpy before they can sing, because I doubt they'll go peacefully when they find out what the miners want. Sorry if this is overly complicated.

Galya spooned thin stew into her mouth, keeping one slightly pointy ear cocked in case the miners next to her got more chatty. They’d seemed to realize that they were actually in public, that people could hear them, and toned down their conversation accordingly though the Champion still caught references to treasures and eggs. I think a combination of Parlay and Brawl are what needs to be done.

The first thing that has to happen is that we need to stop the harpy's song. Either cracking the bird's beak or shoving something down her throat to stop the singing is the first way to turn the tables on them. If we can stop the singing permanently then parlaying would be the best option.

Voting is very much still open, and after an early dominant lead by Option #1, Option #3 is surging; it's currently 6 to 4 in favor of option 1, with... nobody voting for #2. XD

Kaoru - 8 years ago

If the voting has not closed, I’d like to stump for Option #3. I agree with those who have said that it will be good to travel with the other predator-Champions, to be near Li and ask where she is bound, and to recover her strength far from her Instructors and before she heads to her new post.

vore2412 - 8 years ago

Option 1 is safe, sensible. Somewhat boring. And if Galya was like that, she'd likely have a different assignment rather than be stuck in as a babysitter in a small kingdom. Option 2 would fit her fairly well as the orphaned, sorta loner, outcast she projects most of the time. But option 3 now, gives her a chance to experience something rather novel for her: the comraderie of fellow predators, acceptance, and approval, which is frankly in short supply for her. And it gives her a chance to travel in numbers while she recovers her size and feel like she is of some use while having chances to indulge that predatory nature some more.

TL;DR: Option 3.

Imrhys - 8 years ago

I think #3 is most loyal to her traits. Bandit devouring plays to both her "devourer" and "hedonist" traits, while at the same time shows why/how she may have gotten/Earned "disrespected", AND she does need to heal, so why not snack up... I stacked up on "healing potions" with a pack of others to provide back-up if her "injuries" pose a threat to her abilities?

Lerkur - 8 years ago

We've had our fun, now it's time to get ready for work. And with Silvertongue, this position actually suits us very well. Besides, hunting bandits while half our regular size will either lead to being at a sever disadvantage during a fight, or forcing our predatory friends to cover for us, which would likely get on their nerves. Neither one is likely to end well end well. My vote is to recover, study, and head out when we're at our proper size.

Confusion, disorientation, and a peculiar tightness in her midsection. Galya felt wrong; a trail of icy fire wound through her veins, and she found herself unable to stand up on her own legs. Her arms burnt; she tasted sour bile at the back of her throat, but willed herself to keep her hard-won meal down. She heard her own heartbeat pounding in her ears so loudly that she couldn’t hear anything else. People were talking at her, surrounding her, she could see Li and some of the instructors.

I can imagine that going to a predator party while being 2 feet tall can be quite a troublesome thing.

Kaoru - 8 years ago

I am a daredevil and a fool.

As such, I'm voting for the Predator's Party. Here's why.

I feel very strongly that the long overland journey will give us ample time to study - both any potential lingering effects from that venom, as well as the local traditions, culture and lay of the land for our new assignment. We can take study materials with us, after all.

However, we can't take friends. And Li is the closest we've got right now.

The other Champions who won in basic combat will not respect us - nor should they, really. We likely aren't close with most of them, and we didn't win through martial skill or even cunning. We won by Predating. We belong at the Predator's party, and it'd be worthwhile to catch up with Li and see where she's assigned.

We may not find a warm welcome there, either - but at the least, we'll find excitement.

But, if success and failure are both up to chance, let's go with the route where either one leads to vore. My vote's for Drosi. Their poison might make them more dangerous, but hopefully, it pays off.

Galya picked out some light leathers and a quarterstaff. Positioning was the name of the game for this sparring exercise; no sense in bulky armor with padded weapons, and the long weapon let her fight at a decent range and not risk getting close to one nearly-out opponent only to be tossed by their partner. Standing in the center of the ring at parade rest, Galya watched as the others in the first batch of second-years found their other rings, yawning as the sun slowly climbed the blue sky. Afte

Hi! What's all this, then?

So as I've mentioned a few places, I'm going to try to do an INTERACTIVE STORY in the sense that I write, and you, the viewers, have one hand on the steering wheel for where the story goes. Ideally it's going to span a pretty broad range of lewd and fetishy stuff; I may go to some odd places, but I'll always tag the strange stuff in each chapter so you know in advance. Don't be afraid of Bad Ends, either- they'll be really fun for me to write, and there...

It had been a full week since Walloa got herself around a meal. In absolute terms, she didn't need to eat anyone else; even though her metabolism was infernally hot in both a literal and figurative sense, it wasn't so fast that the would-be demoness had no chubbiness and curviness left over. The obliging (once she got her mental hooks in him) caravan guard had been pleasant and submissive enough, and Walloa rewarded him with some last pleasure to take with him on his trip to eternity on her thig

I
saw in the paper over breakfast- two more people missing, and the

A very enjoyable read. I liked the various touches of… realism, for lack of a better word. The elements of blunt reality that a relatively jaded fighter like Diona is used to, behind the screen of glamour, but that the audience (who are just there for the show) don't necessarily see.

Imrhys - 11 years ago

A non-fatal piece from you? Most rare and telling of the type of story this is. Though your technical skills show some rust (this is the first time I've ever caught you at any mistakes or clunky passages), your story making skills are still spot on.

The world building strongly supports this non fatal option story. It even settles most of my issues with human/human vore, and yet your bypassing great detail in the same size ingestion STILL works without kicking me out. And... You made it more about the characters than the vore or the fighting.

Excellent piece. Beautiful return to posting <3

Love it. You're always so good at taking your time on the digestion and futility of struggle. Matter-of-fact lines like "Yvona fattened the gnoll and held no anger to it" are wonderful. A little more epilogue about the effects of the digestion on the gnoll would have been nice, had this been a story. But with an RP, it seems like the point of surrender is the most natural place to end.

Truth be told, it actually reminds me of an X-Files episode. This Shark-like human has a nigh-uncontrollable hunger for human brains, he works at a fast food restaurant, takes hunger suppressants and watches motivational TV to try and keep himself from going psychopathic, to insist to himself that he is in control of his appetites. He's even seeing a shrink about it.

In the end though, he does a suicide-by-cop with the X-Files agents because he realizes that that kind of lifestyle is wrong and he can't stop himself in any other way. It was a noble death, but also kind of a sad but true commentary on those who have destructive and amoral lifestyles and who KNOW that and wish it were otherwise, but don't have the strength to stop themselves.

Usually their work happened at night. Demon worship didn't admit to many activities that would bear the light of day, at least not if you wanted to avoid being killed by a righteous citizenry. Neither Isabel the youngest daughter of a noble family, nor Denis the youngest son of another were incautious. That was what made them so exceptionally useful to the demons they served; caution, discretion, and a measured approach to the demons' brand of evil that let them do their work without going into

But on the other hand, it's a good thing not to include a full sex scene in every vore story I think.

The part I especially enjoyed was the moment when Lev threatened to gobble Sylvie down too. I could not take my eyes off the screen until I knew he would let her go or take her all in. Both ends would have been absolutely fine, but I am afraid the one not chosen is slightly preferred. :)
