Ok, is there a possibility that Bretissy can disarm the goblin via tensing her muscles and using her own blood to make the handle slippery enough that he loses his grip? If so, then we just need to break every rib in his body and leave him as a broken mess to die in agony or until some feral thing eats him.
I have no idea how to put that in command format, the booze is making my mind fuzzy, though delightfully free.
Alternatively, since I did some light skimming to catch up, and then went back to read in detail, and still have no idea, do we have any healing items?
Because if we do, falling back and using said item would be a good idea.
We might also want to look for a cleric, as we currently have the issue of a snake having her ass handed to her. Going to need some serious in battle healing to fix that.

Anyway, reasoning: Far position should allow our ally to defend us from any frontal assaults. Best to use the vial of dew since we're so low on HP right now, and there's currently only one enemy in close quarters. I don't trust the arrows that came along earlier, though.

Ah, I see what you're thinking. No, you're right, now that you mention it. It's possible that we'll be allowed that sort of movement eventually.

Maybe some height based movement based on whether there's a boulder or something on the field, maybe flight of some sort, etc. But for now I don't believe anything's changed since the last fight.

I was thinking more on Bretissy's side of the field, there's six squares, 3 for Bretissy, and 3 for Tobias, hence my mild confusion. I would also point out that this is the first time Bretissy is in what is effectively a group fight. With the 2 on 1 dynamic here, and the combat grid overlay, and the enemy's current location suggestively close to 'far-top'... You see where I'm going? (Also, in the combat page linked, Starlord does make mention of being unable to currently move up\down) I guess it comes from thinking of this fight as being 'multi-lane'...

Or maybe I'm overthinking everything... Either way, would it be better to clear this up now?

I think you're a bit confused about the positions.

There are 3 for Bretissy, and 3 for the enemy, that's it. It adds up to 6 on the picture, sure, but we can only use 3.

Hmmm, your math must be off somewhere. 500(pack)+300(helm)+50(T-knife)+50(25*2 apples)= 900c.

Ah, I see, no, I did mean Vial of Dew, 'cause in a pinch we can heal ALMOST all of our HP should we need too. With the Helm we'll have 110 HP, so a vial of dew will fully heal us if we have 10 or more HP.

A chicken leg is actually a horrible deal, really, it's more expensive than an apple, by triple the price, and doesn't even fill the same as two apples.

A vial of Dew, however, can be used in an emergency DURING a fight (we'll use less expensive healers outside of battle, if need be), should we be about to die. The price is worth it, unless we can barter it down to a lower price, which would make it even more worth it.

(Another reason I feel the Survival pack is worth more than the small bag, since we can keep more than just apples.)

Well two things: Firstly, Amazing comic (Always loved these commenters adventure thingies). Secondly, The choice of text and background colour is really painful. makes reading the text really straining.

Perhaps you should make black text for this yellow background, or a darker background colour.

In a text adventure game, of any sort, if you don't know exactly what to type as a command, you're usually free to just spam what you think might be the right command. Since there's usually no time limit or repercussion.

Example:
Player: Hmm...I want to pick up this <thing>.
*Types 'Pick Up <thing>' Which gives warning about not a proper command*
Player: Hmm...how about...
*tries multiple ways of typing a command for picking the <thing> up. Get <thing>, Grab <thing>, Take <thing>, etc. until one eventually works*

That's what I meant, not that I'd be able to weigh the vote in my favor by spamming commands. I'm not the kinda guy to try and stuff the ballot box.

well, it's more along the lines of 'I'm interested' than 'I'm a fan' though, for me, it's pretty much the same thing xD
my biggest complaint is the not-so-amazing art, but I can't really use that complaint seeing as it's actually better than I can draw (which is barely better than stick figures) >.>...SO I'm interested mainly in your artistic skills, if we keep pushing you to draw, you'll eventually get better, and that's another reason not to let this die. I also like to read, and choose your own adventures are just fun in general.

All in all, if I had to rate this, it'd be about a 5/10, mainly due to the art. But as I said, I'm interested in seeing your skills improve, so I'm not complaining. Maybe someday you'll get to humbug's level, or higher! I just wish I had some talent to join you there.

Either way, you put this up, it was something you wanted to do, I'll support it at least a little 'till you say you give up on it.
