Since this happens fairly often they have a simple procedure for it. The werewolf puts a mesh screen in the toilet, poops onto it and then washes it down with a shower head type sprayer. Anything that stays in the screen gets examined. Quarter inch mesh hardware cloth screen works pretty well.

In older editions of AD&D you could make very good armor out of dragon scales, but they had to be attached to the hide still. A pile of scales coughed up or passed probably wouldn't work. Uvuzi has a bean bag made of them, though.
One recent edition of D&D says that the armor can be made of "cast off scales", though. Dragon scale male would be very good armor for Uragh but he's unlikely to have it any time soon.

Well, technically, there are several posibilities of this happening:
1) Styx dragons are usually, dwellers of Abyss and other nether realms, which may mean Tiamat's involvement - feeding Bahamut to a 'lowly' dragon as humiliation (though, I suppose, given their relations - she'd eat him herself).
2) Aspects of Bahamut are known to 'care nothing for their continued existence' - especially since some of them are really short-lived and disappear within a day or two. So, it won't be surprising for some of them to be curious about various things.
