If I had more of a penchant for animation I'd like to actually really animate the Pterygoid/mandibular walk that they do. It's super neat. For now I'm really satisfied with my dynamic poses here. They're not perfect but it's been a fun process to work through the logistics without, you know, specific models.
Anyway this is my most favorite frame yet, and we're barely halfway through the sequence. I'm having a lot of fun.

Looks like we're going feet first!
So one of the big reasons why I wanted to remake this was I've actually spent a lot of time studying some, like, really basic anatomy, like where the tongue and the glottis go, something I really, really got wrong in the older version. Also snake have weird teeth that look more like they never break through the gums. Kinda neat!
Also I own snakes now and that really helps with the whole understanding tail shapes and the coil bits....

ah dang, I had kinda thought the bulge in the frog's stomach was the fairy, but I'm glad I asked :) Voreception is always an amusing thing to see, but probably not so fun for the artist having to figure out where and how to orientate all the creatures

It does... I haven't mastered the art of speech bubble management yet, it's one of the many things I'm attempting to explore...
And no pencils were harmed in the making of this comic. GIMP actually has really good pressure sensitivity when it comes to opacity, and their pencil tool is generic, but combined together they make for an awesome digital force to be reckoned with XD

Fun fact! I used to be an architecture student. I dropped out but learned a few tricks, haven't figured out how to do them digitally though. My finals projects for my first semester took somewhere around 18 hours to complete and was 100% T-square, ruler, and pen work. I made something like an 89 on it.

What is this thing!? Well, of course, it's a triop girl! Education time! Those pink frilly things that make her look like a giant vagina? Those are used as gills! A triop has many, many pairs of legs that wave about constantly to collect food and breathe. I love these things. Now with this picture, my love for triops is officially unhealthy XD This is all experimental stuff in GIMP, so it may not be top-notch, but I kinda like it.

Fun facts!
I did the last three pages between the hours of 2 A.M. and 6 A.M.! This is on a normal sleep schedule! I woke up at freakin 10 in the morning the previous day!
