Phoebe's finally done with her prey; choose your own ending! I just had to follow up on the last two images, I couldn't get the poor little snail out of my mind.
If you want her to live, but leave Phoebe struggling to get her back out choose the bottom picture! But if you think she deserves to be but a snack adding to Phoebe's beautiful body, choose the right picture~
---------------
fun frog fact! the only frog in the world that actually makes a "ribbit" sound is the pacific chorus frog, native to the Pacific Northwest area

question about the technical aspects of the picture? how's the onomatopoeia? the background? the composition? the pastel lighting style? I've been throwing stuff at the wall trying to figure it out (which is a pretty important part of the learning process) but I want to start getting structured feedback, even if its just opinions. thanks!

Bottom picture is definitely the better choice

Agreed, always love a good release scene, especially if it's difficult

Release is good, but i was mainly focused on letting the prey survive

That's mainly what I like as well, but figured my initial commentary on "and possibly decide to just leave them inside alive" was going a bit too far, lmao

I'm glad you noticed the possibility of her giving up on release and sucking her back in ;3 it was something I wanted to hint could happen but still leave up to the viewer's imagination

It's something that's almost always in my head cuz I'm just obsessed with preds deciding "eh, too much effort, you're just sitting in there now" and leaving prey to their own devices in their guts, hahaha

nah, right picture obviously the better choice

Waaaa, her design is adorable. Of course i'm taking the right picture, love that crunch could come from shell cracking instead of usual.
That's interesting why one frog made people think it's what "all" frogs do.
Technicalities...dunno, onomatopeias looks super cute and they're hard to miss so they work well. I guess I was confused at first with the arrows. (till I read description) Background adds positivity but that's about it? Hard to talk about lighting, bright colors fit whole theme but it's hard to tell where light comes from. Hope that helps somewhat.

thanks for the feedback! lighting is definitely hard to figure out since the characters aren't really in a "scene", they're just posing in a void. I'm mostly using lighting to add depth and volume where I think its needed, hopefully it worked. and good to know about the onomatopoeias and background, I always worry it'll distract more than it helps, but the picture feels too empty without either
