More 4 but if there was a good reason then I could see Shez going along and trying to convince Rhea to spare the innocents but again. It would have to be a pretty good reason though otherwise I feel that would be a step too far for Shez that shatters her image of Rhea.
B.2
You’re trying to help these people and you know the rules. Plus you JUST got things better with Hapi again. Won’t help to eat her best friend/lover. Maybe a little fantasying about it as you leave though.
C. 2
You only just met her. I think Shez wpuld be open to being her friend, just hasn’t had enough exposure.
D. 2
I think Shez has seem his type a million times before as a merc. Dumb as a box of rocks but he is protective of his friends at least. I think Shez would understand he pissed a bad client too given whoever was willing to attack the official sword of seiros doesn’t care if they piss the church off.
E. 3
I think it is really cute and hot that Rhea is trying to find what turns us on and that is better than any outfit.
F. 3
Ah, is she jealous of Edelgard? Still pretty hot.

I think Shez would be blushing red to maych those leggings. After they have fun I think Shez would explain to Rhea she cares for Rhea and appreciates what she did but also she doesn’t need to make herself someone else if she is uncomfortable.

We know the search will probably turn stuff up but Shez doesn’t and Edelgard hasn’t done much to warrant the search. If Rhea is worried then doing an intrusive search without grounds will not only piss Adrestia off but also Faerghus and Leicester. It would also kill hope that Edelgard could be an ally if innocent (though we know that’s not the case). I think Shez would say just put Shamir on discreet surveillance if she is concerned and if Shamir says something isn’t right then do a search. Don’t jump the gun so to speak.

I’m sure the clothes taste good but Shez is probably drooling over getting to those mounds. Which is probably helping lubricate so Rhea slips in.
Really glad we got patch things up a little with Hapi. When we first got to the Rhea part I was like “Did… she eat Edelgard and steal her clothes? Oh god Yandere Rhea. Quick warn Hapi!” Then when Shez was contemplating digestion I imagined how awkward Edelgard would feel to know Shez did the job she’s been failing at “Years of planning and all it took was one horny merc?!”

Always gotta put in the outlier options (plus they add flavor). Like with Edelgard thinking about feeding herself to someone.
Shez: deals with a very savvy Yuri and comes to an understanding with no violence or even real threats.
Shez: Just… Balthus.
She should explain that, yeah. I figure it didn’t cross her gay little mind because Rhea was being unashamedly Rhea the whole time.
You know, I kinda wonder where Edelgard even keeps the Flame Emperor armor. Huh.
Yandere Rhea gives me life. She’s not, but… Yep.
Seteth: “Lady Rhea, here is what you requested, from the spare uniforms. I ask that you never tell me what this is for.”
Hehe. That last bit is basically “Immaculate Digestion”/“Pillow Talk” including the horny merc part.

I also elided the part where Rhea calls Shez over for the horny and Shez says “ok so someone tried to assassinate me” because I thought it was funnier that way.

I think it was because I leave a tab open for Eka’s on my phone while I am running my CYOA so I can check comments in case of an issue. The last thing I had open was this page though so the phone was probably thrown for a loop.

I had a feeling that at least one of the ashen wolves was nearby. So that could have been very awkward.
A. 3-4 this would probably be one of the things that could break the relationship in my opinion. Is if Rhea tried to force this without thoroughly damning evidence and even then I think Shez would try to calm Rhea down and try a more merciful approach.
B.4 unless things change dramatically probably wouldn't eat Hapi's friend or try to sleep with her.
C.2 I think Shez would be amused and appreciate that Hapi has backup if needed.
D.2 merc that's all heart and little to no brains. I'm sure shez has dealt with the type. He means well even if he is an idiot and could have caused a lot of problems.

G.3 I mean Rhea is dressing up for shez it's a surprise Shez's jaw isn't on the floor
H.3 this feels like the closest but I almost wonder if Shez would feel like Edelgard or Monica could be target's after Rhea's comment. After all Edelgard is the one who brought Monica to see Rhea about Thomas. What if the would be assassins decide that they want to prevent Monica from remembering anything and possibly already told Edelgard. Especially since they lost the element of surprise going after Shez. Edelgard or Monica would be more exposed. And that would still be damaging to the church's reputation. Also so sue me I want to reform Edelgard. I mean sort of along that logic the other target could be Catherine but I doubt anyone would be that stupid.
I. 3 while I'm sure Shez likes the jacket I think she wants a direct taste next time.
If my comment on decision H makes sense I almost wonder if Shez would seek to patch things up with Edelgard and try to train Edelgard in case of future attempts at other targets.

Hehe, I remember you thinking the others were nearby and it’d be awkward if they walked in. I figured Balthus—who caught Shez off guard and is A in gauntlets—would be the one explaining the full belly, though. But then Shez rolled more bullshit, and so hey.
The comment on H makes total sense! I figure Shez is worried about them, I just didn’t end up getting to it. Things aren’t lost with Edelgard, for sure, and there’s another chunk of free time coming up soonish—plus other chances to get back on good footing.
…cue Shez frantically patting Rhea as she glares at Edelgard once the truth comes out. Poor woman is right in the middle of it all.

Shez is all or nothing at times it feels like. This is why we must train more so Shez can further baffle everyone. Also will shez immediately figure out Edelgard or will the flame emperor's identity join the truth about Rhea in being completely impossible to figure out despite ridiculous amounts of evidence.

Edelgard shows up in the Flame Emperor armor, Shez gets ready to fight, then she lifts the helmet off and Shez is all “Hi Edelgard! :D”
Rhea is a dragon. Shez has not noticed.

I can't tell if that would be better or worse than Shez just assuming it's a completely different person that matches up perfectly with The ashen demon in almost every single way and even claims to be the same Byleth. "They can't be the same person her eyes and hair are different."

A - 4 (Maybe 3 if Rhea could prove to Shez that going full scorched earth was the only option, but I still kind of doubt it.)
B - 4 (Admit she's pretty/tasty and move on. Shez is here to help the people of Abyss, not help them into her stomach.)
C - 2 (She seems nice, but Shez isn't going to trust someone new right off the bat.)
D - 2 (Shez is probably still a little pissed after what he tried to pull, but a life of being a mercenary also would teach her that holding grudges is stupid.)
E-G - 3 (Shez *should* notice something is odd with Rhea's clothing choices, but the critical thinking department of her brain is currently closed due to extreme hotness.)
H - 3 (Edelgard's threat came from a place of feeling threatened by Shez, so from what Shez knows, there's no reason to suspect her of anything else.)
I - 3 (Shez is used to eating clothed prey, but why not get a better taste?)

D: 2 A jobs a job and being an ex-merc Shez most likely is familiar with his brand of dumb.
E, F and G: 3 Rhea being jealous of a loose thought Shez had about Edelgard is not only adorable but sexy all the same
H: 3 I'm sure Shez still thinks of her as a friend. Even if she is spooked after their spar. Sadly it seems spooked enough to try to get rid of a perceived threat. Hopefully we can socialize with her a bit or do something else to try and get her back in good graces.

Glad the little incident with the Ashen Wolves seems to have settle for now. Good to have a magic trainer again. With or without the benefits.

Balthus pls. I had a similar reaction to Yuri, hoping he was doing it for Hapi and not stupid enough to take a job for this... but let's be honest, he's absolutely that stupid. I am a little surprised you expected him to win, but Shez is on a hot streak of luck it seems like.
Hapi's very sweet, too. She does care a lot. And the lovebirds (Rheashez, not Hapistance... so far) are still very cute themselves.
A- 3. This was tough, and I don't think merc life left Shez as the most morally grounded person, especially with being head over heels. But I think being able to be convinced, but trying to push back on any wrath, seems fitting for her.
B - 4. Coco's cute, but let's not indulge those thoughts too much - it's already gotten Shez in trouble with Edelgard.
C - 2. I adore Constance but I think Shez might need a little more time to warm up to her?
D - 2. He *is* a dipshit, but that's what taking jobs in tough spots is like.
E - 3's already winning by a landslide so I'll toss a vote for 2, but Shez does strike me as more into Rhea than what she's wearing.
F - 2, likewise
G - 2 - Rhea dressing up like this *is* adorable but I'm not sure the red was the appeal- or if it was, that it'd translate to a different woman.
H - 2. Another tough one, but Shez suggesting Edelgard first keeps me from picking 3. 1 seems likely to escalate, which could be *interesting* but maybe not good per se.
I - 3. I do think Shez might like a full taste, but the contrast is a fun thought too, so not leaning super hard into 3.

Yep! I had fun with your speculation on it being a test or for Hapi. Like, yeah, those would have been better reasons.
Shez nailing that one Sublime sword check did it—along with the forewarning that the Ashen Wolves had Crests and that this was an Ashen Wolf (the Hapi and Rhea relationships) meant she made the most of her edge. Still, after the ambush, was one failed check from being in danger of going down—and Balthus wouldn’t have had trouble once it was time for grappling.
But once he was on the floor and Shez wasn’t, it was kind of one-sided.
Yeah, that’s merc life! As she can say to Edelgard, she’s done a lot of terrible stuff for a fistful of gold.
See, now I’m picturing Rhea misinterpreting a Look at Constance and dying the underside of her hair purple.
Shez isn’t in the best mood at the moment, and Coco is kinda loud, but hey. ‘s fine, just needs a minute.

I was fully expecting the 3s to win on these too, but personally yeah I’d have gone for 2. Though I think in the moment there might not be much difference: either way, Shez’s hungry gay mind is breaking about the fact that she’s eating Rhea, even when it’s just legs in red tights to go.
