Shez, upon waking in Seiros’ arms, thinks about a few things—then enjoys a lazy morning in bed with a lover for the first time in forever. And nothing else.
Voting closed. Next chapter is up.
So! I made an executive decision to roll everyone’s votes on the outfit thoughts together with the explanations, and as Shadowbaron28 suggested, had Shez check if she realized some comfort was in order.
It’d have been a cute little scene, before getting back into the less dramatic monastery socialization and training stuff. But then, Shez hit a 255:1 shot and I put my head in my hands. It made it cuter, in my mind, but also no longer little—and it forced an end-of-chapter vote.

A. 4
In addition to being her’s loves eyes so of course they are winderful, Shez would see a predator in them, power in them and find that hot.
B. 3,4,6,7
If Rhea told us she was going to transform I think Shez could contain any panic. I think Shez would also be open to being eaten but I feel the most Shez answer is 3. She 100% would boop that snoot. 4 be because I mean they are in love. 6 becuase going back to A i think Shez would find the power hot. 7 because if you can fly on a dragon why wouldn’t you, if Rhea was willing of course. While Shez and Rhea could do kinky things later with and Shez could be willing, for a first time transformation I see Shez as instead being more interested in seeing it, learning it that going straight for the sex.
C. 2
Rhea showed her hand. It is only fair. Arval is just being paranoid. Plus we are pals and he won’t betray us… right?
D. 3
Rhea has been pretty good about opening more and more with gentle questioning and there is no need to rush her
E. 3
We got to find our step granddaughter/mother-in-law, Rhea!
F. 2
Tricky cause I don’t want us to lie to Rhea but I also don’t want her to feel doubts with us.
This entire time I was thinking about that one song. How does it go? “Twas I who fucked the dragon-“. Beautiful though, a dragon and her knight.

I enjoy that the votes tend to go for Shez being patient. I get to write more of my silly dragon romance with occasional vore that will eventually get past chapter fuckin’ two of the game.
Finding Byleth and Jeralt is gonna be one hell of an encounter, isn’t it? They wouldn’t do it like this, but I’m picturing Rhea flying in, transforming back to reveal a full belly which Shez flits out of, and then just like
“Hello. It has been some time. This is my wife, Shez.”
“Heya!”
Honestly, if Shez tells her about Arval and also what she ‘saw’ about her identity, she’ll tell her about the whole thing in the process—or, once she gets confident that those details were accurate (she experienced the same conversation after all, so the specific words aren’t enough) she’ll probably do it on her own. Trust, and all, and she prefers to be open.

A: 4 Shez is CRAZY for this lady. Little something extra to get hot under the collar for.
B: 3, 4, 6, and 7. Although I could see Shez also going with 2 afterwards. There is just no way she could resist giving the nose a good boop though.
C: 3 She showed us some vulnerability. It's only fair she gets to see some of our confusing nonsense.
D: 3 Wouldn't hurt to ask.
E: 3 Would be nice to get answers on her but not a necessity at this point. We are certainly no merc anymore so the likelihood of us running into her at the current moment isn't high I would imagine.
F: 2 After seeing she had doubts it would likely be in our best interest to make sure those don't pop up anymore if we can help it. Certainly wouldn't lie though. That I imagine would be a poor choice indeed.
Also holy check passes batman!

Someone else sees Rhea make the snake eyes at Shez and sees her reaction, assumes it’s fear
it is not
She has to boop. Just takes all of the tension out of it, sure, but she’s not thinking about it like that. She sees scaly face she loves, she boop.
Then eventually crawls inside but hey
“So Rhea I have a voice in my head.”
“Ah. Is it my mother?”
“No but that reminds me of something else I wanted to talk about.”
There’s a good chance Shez is going to go to the cathedral, look at the statue, and just facepalm
The sad thing about Byleth during the Hopes intro/timeskip is they’ll tell Shez on an outing that they haven’t really fished very much

Hehehe, yeah, no lying to the keen-eyed dragon girlfriend for sure—though honestly at this point with how consistently Shez has been all in on Rhea, I dunno what she could even lie about.

I was half like “yay I get to write the Rhea perspective on this part because it’s what she was thinking about!”
but also I was gonna have her have a silly little re-meet and re-greet with the Deer and read some books and other stuff

A - 4 (When it comes to Rhea, you gotta let that freak flag fly.)
B - 3, 4, 6, 7 (2 is nice and all, but you can't boop her snoot from inside her tummy - which is what's most important here.)
C - 3 (I can't see Shez feeling guilty, but if Rhea is truly willing to accept her, she'd also accept Arval, whatever he is... right?)
D - 3 (Rhea's been pretty understanding of questions up till now, and I can't see Shez suddenly demanding answers unless something drastic happens.)
E - 3 (Say something to Rhea. I think Shez might be growing toward letting go of hunting Byleth, but she's still not there by a long shot.)
F - 2 (Directly lying to Rhea is unwise, but being careful to not raise undue suspicion isn't.)

Shez doesn’t tell anyone about Arval in canon until after Epimenides does the thing obvs, but afterwards in GW Lysithea just asks Shez to explain
and Shez doesn’t hesitate to just yap to her, it’s a nice little thing

I joked too much the question is will something replace rhea's secrets and identity as being extremely blatant but Shez misses it.
A. 4 it's Rhea the answer is obvious... also Shez may have a thing for monstrous (Feature wise not behavior wise.) Woman. Especially those who could kick her ass.
B. 1 scarousal is a thing which explains...3,4,6,7 and later 2.
C. 1-4. I think 5 also applies if some of the crossed out thoughts or emotions have come through. Either it's Kronya (those seem to have faded out though.), Arval's suppresed thoughts, or some part of Arval that he forgot.
D.2 I think Shez would want time to mull it over. Get her thoughts in order and actually figure out what questions she wants to ask. Also possibly look ajd see if there's other stories of things like this. Time to visit the library? (joke answer D.1 shez you're feeling very sleepy you will forget this for the bit.)
E.3. I think Shez would be looking for Byleth for different reasons now. Revenge would probably feel distant considering without Byleth she would never have met Rhea or have the opportunities she has now.
F.2.Again a lot of info for shez spend time mulling it over and trying to figure out how to feel about it. Try to Soothe Rhea no need for her to feel bad about anything. But avoid lying.

And for bonus points on my initial thought. Will it happen at the worst possible moment? Cut to Edelgard somehow being crowned archbishop and Shez just then realizing that Edelgard was the flame emperor.

Doing a quick search using find in page I first come across revenge in chapter 6 when you joke about how Sothis would be in Shez's head after revenge is achieved. Payback, grudge and hunt are also strangely absent outside comments. I think it might have been implied through interacting with other characters but I'm not sure it was ever outright stated to anyone. Again grain of salt because find in page might miss it but that would be funny if Shez just never mentioned it to anyone.

It’s funny because in the game Shez barely mentions it to anyone either. In general if she has literally anything else to occupy her attention she’s focused on that, and she’s been in so far over her head here.
There are elided conversations, like teatime with Rhea, where it could have happened—but it’s not pleasant conversation so I figure Rhea wouldn’t ask and Shez wouldn’t bring it up.
…the new thing Shez can never notice is that Byleth is the Ashen Demon. Not because of going green, but because she misheard her name as Violet and cannot for the life of her realize that Byleth and ‘Violet’ are one and the same.

I really liked how you write Rhea's POV in the flashback to that scene. She's a woman of many facets, and you revealed one I hadn't considered so much for her. Penitent indeed.
A. 4 - yeah, I think she'd be into this.
B. 2-7. Dragon riding is a go.
C. 2,3,4. She can love Rhea but still care for Arval's wishes too.
D. 3. She wasn't prepared to tell Shez this, let's not push it.
E. 3, likewise.
F. 2. I am intrigued by having no option to ask about this, heh. But I suppose it's not yet time.

Slit. Pupils. Plus, she saw them right before being kissed stupid.
Dragonriding! But Ria, where does the saddle go? It’s not like there’s a passenger compartment or anything.
This is definitely the most complicated situation for Arval stuff, that’s for sure.
Be nice to the repressed, scared, and lonely dragon lady, that’s the consensus!
