Crime story with vore?
Makes me think of a comical version of a typical murder scene, the suspects gets dragged in and the detective points out the guilty one:
"You ate Mr. Terrence Asty."
"I did not!"
"How do you explain your 5 foot belly then?"
"Completely unrelated!"
so close!^^ a very intresting story, but from wat you described it did sound like the poor mermaid pretty much had eaten most of the fish in that lake and woulden't survive anyway o.o

A very well written story, I enjoyed it a lot. The descriptions were great. The mermaid's actions did seem a little... bizarre, though.

if she was been on the water, she will been able to digest all the people that she ate???

Well i aimed for it to be sad, it's mean't to force the reader to think about what people will do just for revenge.

is the fault of the humans always :(

Great story. Strange how far someone can go when they believe their cause is just.

Revenge can take you to hell and back

Just got an idea for a sequel based on that comment.
"The mermaid ate my family and my friends, and now she is back from hell for me."

I did think of making it funny but that's not my writing style so i've gone for gritty and somewhat dark.....here's hoping it works.
If it doesn't i'm going to reuse the main character again anyway.

Gritty and dark is good as well, go for it.

I had never though of it that way.....
If I'd written the story for her to survive there would always be a careless human nearby to snack on XD

hehe, thats kinda nice though^^
