Things have gotten worse for Hialfi since we last saw him. This takes place a year or two after 'The foxtaur and the gnoll' and the big foxie is in a really difficult situation with a domineering female. This story is much darker than the last one and you may find yourself disliking Hialfi a bit by the time it's read.

I don't think I'd dislike Hialfi for the choices he made. He's square between a rock and conundrum, and acting like a neutral or even neutral good would in this case.
His vow of starvation at the end, in fact, was quite noble. If, probably, fruitless. The innocents would still die, and in the end he probably would, too, unless he was rescued, or Ms. Green Dragon made a fatal mistake of some kind or another.

Very wonderful story. ^^ I don't dislike him either. :3

I noticed you're 'updating' their alignments a bit! Hialfi used to just eat anyone convenient, now seems a bit more picky about it. Any of your other characters getting a 'sharper' definition lately too?

Hialfi has never eaten just anyone, but it may have appeared that from drawings showing him eating Cougar (which was an art trade), a griffon, etc. I am trying to define him as a character who tries not to eat "good" people, though.

I feel more sorry for Hialfi rather then dislike him. Hes not doing what he does for malice or pleasure. If anything hes doing the merciful thing, compared to what the dragoness would do.
I really liked the conversation in this one. How Hialfi had almost forgot, or didn't want to think about Elias being there as food, until Elias brought it up. And after that the sort of consensus between the two of them that it was the best thing to do, even though neither really wanted it.
The crack in the wall Hialfi talked about though. Doesn't seem like the best escape route for someone, considering what hes been using it for, for the last few months. I'm sure a 15 foot foxtaur could turn over 2 dozen humanoids into a lottt of waste o.o

It's not a good escape route, but escaping into a sewer BEFORE you are turned into poop is better than escaping into after you are.

Haha, that is true. You reference his wastes in both of his storys, any chance that we will get to see or read an actual scat scene?
If he does get someone out, maybe they would be gracious enough to return the favor and come back to try and help him escape. Just an idea. :p

I find actual blatant scat (written or drawn) distasteful. I have done one story with a lengthy scat scene (http://aryion.com/g4/view/10017) and have drawn one or two scat picsThere's a couple of "grand tour" stories in the mix too (One Long Day On the Road, Peliz' bad day). So occasionally I write about it, but it's rare.

I can understand that. It would seem a bit out of a character for a blatant scene, like in most storys
I just think with Hialfi's friendly approach to vore it would be interesting to see how he feels about disposing of people and such. More so the ones he liked, like in this tale.

I really liked how understanding Elias was of Hialfi's predicament.
And it was a good demonstration on how evil an Evil character can be when they put enough effort into it.
A question though: If he was full enough that it made him sleepy, why was he also hungry as he fell asleep?
Is his body just that gluttonous?

He's a big fox but foxes have pretty small stomachs so a human is not a bad meal, but he's been badly fed for a long time. He can be full and still feel hungry.
I had forgotten the nasty the dragoness was in this. I've been trying for years to write the sequel, eventually splitting parts of it off into three different stories, two of which still aren't done. The two incomplete ones will need another look to make sure there is a consistency of evil, so to speak.

So if he had been eating more often and more steadily, the bard would have filled him and not left him feeling hungry and full at the same time?
Oh dear... does this involve Hialfi's offspring?

He's been hungry for a long time. One good meal isnt enough to recover from that.
One story is about how he escapes and the other is about the dragoness coming after him after he does. Originally these were going to be one story with a bunch of other stuff but it got too complicated and I farmed parts of it out to smaller stories. Similarly, one large story about Hialfi getting his scars healed and getting some decent equipment proved unworkable and the shorter one about him meeting Blossom (the inflatable raccoon lady) was written as a partial fix, allowing his scars to be healed (since they were annoying to draw) without all the other elements I'd planned for that story.

Wonderful story, I am kind of a sucker for twisted crushes like what seem to be going on here.

There are two sequels to this story that I've been working on for ages and can't seem to finish, one in which Hialfi escapes and the other in which the dragoness tracks him down again. One of these years I'll get them done. 83
