Well personally I have done insta-digest scenes as fetish stuff, but then again as you are aware the horror aspect is part of my fetish anyway. The idea of the prey melting away faster than they (she) can even grasp what's happening... from the whole domination aspect that's pretty thorough on the part of the pred. I mean, what says "you're nothing but food" than being digested virtually instantly?

Ah, that's one school of thought. The other is insta-absorption. In retrospect it doesn't take much to assert that in Resident Evil. In your universe you would probably use magic as the explanation, no?

Not necessarily. In SOS there is a plant called a girlsucker, as demonstrated in the stand-alone "skeeters" story. The pod is too small to fit a gal in but in two go anyway... pure absolute mutant plant acid.
But in most of my work, magic would indeed be the cause. In the RE series I would only assume a form of genetically modified digestive enzyme...?

I loved that part of the game. I would seriously get to the end of the stage just so I could feed my AI partners to them.
Of course, never realize how absoluting horrifying that would be to someone who isn't a voraphile before.
