Coryn's new and very close friend introduces the human sorceress to some of the practical realities of life in Ishara. Afterwards, Coryn deals both with her own rapidly growing power and some disturbingly self-destructive urges.
I am loving this because we get to see what DM'ing you to give me: from the beginning of Coryn's "career"/experiences in Ishara.
And I am eager to see what happens when she figures what those dreams and/or her reality bending power can do for her blooming "thoughts" with Tish ^_^
Can't wait for chapter 3... though I can obviously wait for after your May submission XD
Your dialogue is fantastic. I could read chapter after chapter of the two women talking. "He had a little elvish blood in him, though, and... you're looking far more confused than you should be, Tish" was what spurred this comment. It's exactly right: deadpan, funny without being jokey, and entirely natural.
I enjoyed this chapter. Can't wait to read the rest!

And from now on, no more commenting 3am in the morning after a long mentally draining day *cringes reading own comment*
I love getting to see how a character's "career" started out, even if in this case Coryn is not really a beginner.

The little bit about the apples always showing up is very funny.
