Wow, thinking back now, I never thought things would turn out like this. After the battle with Myotismon things seemed like they were gonna go good for awhile. The Digi-Destined even brought their families here using 'Digi-Gates' developed by Andromon. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a strange virus crept through the digital world. No one could tell where it came from and it was quite contagious. Some of the Destined caught it and took it back to their world. In the digital world, the virus seemed to change various parts of code, almost as if it was toying with various things to see what would happen. In the human world however, the virus slowly shut down their vital organs, which of course didn't sit well with their leaders. The Digi-Gates were closed off in hopes of stopping the virus' spread, but that didn't work. The virus didn't need gates to get into their world, it used the very lines they laid with their human hands to get to them.

Ooooh, it was so scary! I was out picking ripe meat apples when one of the gates opened and a big monster came out of it! It had a long nose and shot fireballs out of it, and yelled in a booming voice: "All digimon are to refrain from interfering in the process of purging this virus". We all thought they had come to help find a cure, boy were we wrong... They began hunting for the core of the virus, and upon finding it, they blew it up with no thought about us! All I can remember after that is waking up on a piece of ground floating in mid-air! I frantically looked around and saw Renamon waving her arms and yelling at me.

To make a long story shorter than it already is, much of the digital world was destroyed and now there are only floating pieces of land for us to live on. Fortunately Andromon was still around to make gates to each island, but, things have changed in all of us. We, hunger, for eachother. Well, I've always been hungry for anything, and my rule is: "It's edible as long as it fits in your belly!", yet this seems to be everyone's rule now!

Some good did come out of it I guess, we now have the tasty Bytes around, and Bits are more useful than ever! With bits we can actually make items and if ingested, we get stronger. Turns out everything in the Digital World is made of Bits, so if I ate another digimon, whatever bit amount they were worth would be added to my own. Y'know.... I wonder if a digimon stuffed full of Bits would make it tastier?

--- Journal of Jolly, Day 1

It took the digimon a little while to adapt to the new way the world worked, yet the persevered. Jolly especially excelled, as he was known for his excellent cooking skills. He opened a small restaraunt where digimon could dine on one of his many dishes, or even bring in another digimon to eat. He wasn't alone in this endevor, he had recruited his best, and tastiest, friends to help him. Renamon handled the payment and took the orders of the customers; Patamon and Gatomon served the meals and also served themselves as appetizers before the meal for customers whom needed something in their belly while their meals were being prepared; Guilmon handled the storage and caretaking of the 'meals' that were sold to Jolly for bits; and finally Agumon whom was the diswasher and general 'hygenist specialist' for the restaraunt.

Jolly unlocked the door to the restaraunt and walked in whistling his favorite tune. It had been a week since Elecmon's last Digi-Egg sale, so he knew that there would be plenty of digimon bringing in the hatchlings to be sold. A hatchling is worth very few Bits if eaten right away, and they won't be 'Re-Fragmented' for another week. By selling their hatchlings to Jolly, he would then nurture them until they becam a fine meal. He locked the door behind him as the staff needed time to 'get ready'. Jolly's face turned to one of a serious tone, as he concentrated hard. Slowly his stomach began to expand and began to take the shape of many ovals. Slowly the ovals began to harden, and Jolly's feet were lifted off the floor. Jolly giggled and began flexing his stomach muscles, coaxing one of the ovals up. The shape slowly made its way up his throat finally it reached his gaping maw and with the utmost care he set the large egg gently upon the ground. "Whew, I love sleepovers! Especially when I'm the sleeping bag!", he giggled again rubbing the other eggs in his belly, then went back to the task of regurgitating them all.

Once the final egg was out, he went about his usual routine of getting the ingredients prepared and getting the kitchen set up. Jolly wasn't one whom forgets his friends easy, especially when he digests them. The virus effected Jolly in such a way that anything he consumes he has extensive knowlege of and can 're-fragment' them via storing this data inside an egg. Unlike a Digi-Egg, the digimon that hatches from it is exactly the same as when they were consumed.

Rena and the others would take a few hours to re-frag, and Jolly was starving considering he had just restored his friends down to the last Bit, so he decided to partake in the left over meals from yesterday. As he walked to the large storage machine that de-fraged their stored meals for easier storage, his mouth began to water as he thought of all the delicious meals he could have. "Lessee.... There's the usual Bytes... The torso from the Tyrannomon brought in left over...", his perusing paw stopped upon the latest entry on the list, "Oooooh! I'll bet he's tasty!", Jolly said rubbing his belly. He started the recovery process and went back to the kitchen.

He gathered some meat apples, two sugar flowers, and some honey. Humming while he worked, he cut all the meat off the bones of the meat apples and laid the bones to the side. Next he combined the sugar flowers and honey in a mixing bowel and added some cinnamon to it. As he was mixing, Gatomon had woken up and had already eaten her eggshell. She walked into the kitchen stretching her arms and legs. "Good morning Jolly. Someone call in a special order?" Gatomon asked as she hopped up on the counter. "No, I'm just hungry is all," Jolly replied as he continued his work. "Seriously, when are you not hungry Jolly," she asked placing her paws on her hips. "When I have something in my tummy I'm very content," he said lifting his head, "although, I'm never one to turn away free food." The two friends laughed and he invited her to try his mixture. A few moments later the re-frag was complete and the finished product was compiled on the main preporation area.

"Hey, isn't that Gabumon," Gatomon asked as she hopped onto the table. "Yep, after the event he kinda went south in the head. He felt that if he grew stronger he could re-open the gates and help his Destined out. He got ahold of Palmon, Tentomon, Gomamon, and even ate a few Numemon," Jolly replied poking the unconcious Gabu's belly. Jolly went to his pantry and got a very large bag of rice and spread some of the golden mixture onto the meat from the meat apples, dumped rice onto the pieces, and rolled them up. "I thought you were eating Gabu," Gatomon said confused. "I am, but you guys need something to eat too," He replied poking her pudgy belly. Gato rubbed her belly and blushed a little.

He handed her one of the rolls and took the rest of the rice over to Gabu. Jolly sat him up, opened his maw wide, retrieved a funnel and plunger from under the sink. He placed the funnel in Gabu's gaping maw and poured the rice into it. The rice piled up until it was a perfect dome just barely inside the diameter of the funnel. Jolly then used the plunger's wooden end to push the rice down Gabu's throat. "Wouldn't it be easier to tie him up and feed him that way," Gato asked with a mouthfull of her roll. "Well, seeing as how he downed three of his close friends, he's quite a powerhouse so I really don't want to chance that," Jolly answered continuing his work. Yawns and groans could be heard from the other room as the others had awoken. "I'll take these rolls out to them and let you concentrate on your breakfast," Gato said as she carried the rolls out on a tray.

Jolly nodded in response as he continued. A few moments later he had a Gabumon with a small belly. Jolly walked over to the sink, filled a cup full of water, and poured it down the funnel. He then removed the funnel and closed Gabu's mouth. As he did this Gabumon let out a slight moan of pleasure having a full belly. Jolly chuckled and retrieved a pan and placed it in the oven. Renamon walked in still holding her roll in her hand. "Gato said you might need my help," she said as she stuffed the huge roll into her mouth and swallowed sending a large lump the size of a small cantelope to her belly. "Yea, can you help me get him to the oven," Jolly said grabbing Gabu's legs. The water was causing the rice to expand in Gabu's belly, so the two had a time getting him into the pan. They laid him face up in it so his belly would have free reign to expand. Jolly tossed two more rolls to Rena who stuffed both in her mouth and with a mighty gulp, came out of the kitchen with a nice belly for herself.

Over the next few minutes Jolly coated Gabu in his golden mixture and poured the rest down Gabu's throat, which was awake enough to swallow it. Despite the virus' effects, Jolly didn't like to make digimon suffer more than they had to so he never cooked a digimon to death, he just cooked them long enough for his seasonings to sink in and their natural tastes to come to fruition. This technique is why his recipies stand out above all else.

Half an our later the delicious smelling Gabu was taken from the oven and placed on a plate. Now was the time to enjoy the feast. Jolly's mouth watered as he opened it wide to greet Gabu's feet. Jolly had a fondness for feet and tails, and was known for pouncing and nomming playfully at his friends so he preferred to eat feet first. He rolled his tounge around and in between Gabu's toes as he closed his mouth gently against his ankles. Suckling and licking every inch of the digimon's feet. He slid them back to the back of his throat and swallowed, bringing the bottom of Gabu's swollen belly to his mouth. Jolly placed a paw on each side, pulling and swallowing at the same time, while making sure to spend every last second enjoying his meal. With another swallow his mouth was forced wider to allow for Gabu's large belly. He took a moment just to taste and enjoy the girth of his meal before swallowing again. With the largest part of his meal past his tongue, he was half way over and Gabu was beginning to awaken. Realising he didn't have much time, Jolly reluctantly swallowed hard bringing Gabu's entire body inside him, leaving only his head visible in Jolly's gaping maw. Gabu began to stir, and opened his eyes to a sight of teeth, tongue, saliva, and a light. Slowly that light grew dimmer as Jolly closed his maw and with a last gulp send Gabu into his belly.

Jolly laid back into his chair carressing his squirming belly. He'd never eaten anything with a horn before, and it sorta tickled. He fell asleep caressing his belly and his friends turned off the light to allow him to digest in peace. Thanks to Palmon, Tentomon, Gomamon, and a few Numemon, Gabu's flavor was definately worth the wait.
