The nanuqs (polar bears) in my stories have a pretty good relationship with the native Inuit people. But occasionally there is a bear who breaks the rules. Three-Claw is one of those bears.
Somehow this was not up on Eka's even though I wrote it in 2007. If you remember it, that's why -- maybe you saw it elsewhere or it was here and somehow got deleted.

hey strega i have a question for u. Did you by chance write in which the girl wrote in her diary and ran into a character like yours, only to be eaten and have the character start to write in the diary? I cant for the life of me remember who wrote that. Keep in mind this was probably 10+ years ago

You may be thinking of "Final Entry", in which an adventurer's magical diary records his thoughts when he runs into Uvuzi.

I think I remmeber that story(but not the name), but it wasn't Strega.
I remember there was a pic with a similar theme, but I don't know which inspired the other or if they were related.

This same bear was eventually captured by a hunting party of other bears and eaten by Great Mother Bear, who didn't appreciate him breaking the rules at all.
