"So guys! What's the plan for tomorrow again!?"
"Ugh, we've said a thousand times already, we're meeting in front of the big pecha berry tree..."
"Wait... is that the one by the lake or... the one nearer to town...?"
"The one nearer to t- no, wait... the one by the lake... or... hang on..."
The furret giggled at his smeargle friend's ramblings, whilst the quilava nearby stared at a butterfly resting on a fern, tilting his head at it. The furret turned towards the quilava.
"Hey Quil... are you even listening here?" the furret said, smirking at the quilava who was now pawing at the butterfly as it fluttered around the bush.
"Y-yeah, of course I am! I always... listen..." Quil mumbled, before attempting to pounce at the butterfly, rolling head over heals into the bushes, cindering them a little with his back flames. The furret laughed again at the fire pokemon, whilst the smeargle looked more antipathetically at the quilava.
"Honestly, will you stop messing around, how do you expect anyone to take you seriously acting like that?" the smeargle said sternly, dragging the quilava out of the foliage.
"'S-seriously'?" the quilava questioned, "Who said I want to be taken seriously, I just want to make friends!" he said, smiling up at the frowning smeargle. Smeargle had obviously heard it all before.
"Oh yes, great idea, lets be friends with everything shall we?" the smeargle said sarcastically, "I'm telling you, that kind of mindset will lead you to... god knows where, but it's a bad place!"
The quilava whimpered a little at the smeargles words, looking away from him before the furret stepped in.
"Hey, hey, come on now, no need to be so harsh," the furret said, freeing Quil from the smeargle's grasp, "just because you're the oldest doesn't give you the right to scare him..." the furret said.
"Pfft, fine Dio, but don't say I didn't warn you" the smeargle pointed at the quilava, before flicking his tail and turning his back on the other pokemon. Quil looked into Dio's eyes a little tearfully.
"D-did he really mean that Dio? About the bad place thing?"
Dio frowned and nosed under the quilava's chin, playfully poking him with his long tail. Quil immediately perked up, the fire on his back returning to normal.
"Aww, come on Quil, you know what grumpy old Ryli is like," the furret said, glancing over to the smeargle, who was idly painting a silly face on a nearby tree with his tail, "he's just trying to scare you, don't take any notice of him."
The quilava smiled back at the furret, before the smeargle turned to them again, obviously still listening to them.
"Hmph, so, you obviously know where we're meeting tomorrow, so be there!" the smeargle said, before wandering off by himself further down the forest track.
"U-uhh... yeah, sure..." Quil mumbled again, looking over at Dio. The furret rolled his eyes, but smiled again.
"Quil... Pecha berry tree..." Dio said, before also turning his back on the quilava, making his way in the opposite direction down the track, whilst the fire pokemon seemed to stare at the ground a little, zoned out, before he came to at his name being called.
"Any time next year Quil?" the furret said, grinning at the quilava, causing his ears to perk up.
"Ah! Sorry..." the quilava murmured, before joining Dio on the walk home.

"Huh... I wonder where the guys are..." Quil mumbled to himself as he sat in front of the Pecha berry tree, looking over the lake as the sun rise was reflected in the rippling water. He peered up at the tree, sniffing at the pecha berries as he hefted himself onto his paws, looking around the area.
"Ryli said it was the Pecha berry tree... Dio did too... I'm sure of it"
Quil padded over to the edge of the lake, watching a group of spearows take flight over the other side of the lake. The quilava looked at himself in the water, pulling a face and deliberately making the fire on his head flare up some. He blinked at his reflection as he day-dreamed to himself; he knew that he was probably a little bit immature sometimes, but he was generally proud of himself and content having Ryli and Dio as friends, even if they did poke fun at him once in a while. Quil dipped his muzzle down into the water, starting to drink from the lake.

As the young quilava took thirst quenching gulps of water from the lake, a small figure popped out from beneath the waters surface in the centre of the lake, some ten meters away from the quilava. Alert, Quil looked up and immediately recognized the other pokemon.

"Hey, it's a politoed!" Quil cheerfully said out loud. His mother had always told him to be wary around water type pokemon, especially when close to their natural habitat such as lakes and rivers. But Quil wasn't particularly worried, he'd seen politoeds before and they were pretty docile pokemon. The quilava just watched as the politoed moved through the water towards him. Quil was quite excited, he always enjoyed meeting new friends, so he kept a cheerful smile on his face. The politoed stopped moving through the water only a couple of meters away from the quilava. Quil was quick to start the introductions.

"Hey there, how's it going?" Quil asked. The politoed's head rose up from the water slightly, before opening his mouth a little. Quil expected the politoed to continue the conversation, he got something very different.
As quick as a flash, the frog pokemon's long tongue flew out towards the quilava, sticking onto him before he even knew what had happened. Quil yelped at the sudden strike, caught completely off-guard, immediately trying to recoil away from the politoed's tongue. It was no use however, the sticky tongue held firm against. Quil was angry now, the flames on his head and back flaring up: if it was a fight the politoed wanted, a fight he was going to get. Just as Quil was about to send a barrage of fire towards the water pokemon, the tongue tugged him hard, pulling him right off of his feet and into the cold water. Quil yelped again, the flames on his back quickly dying down thanks to the water, as his anger turned to despair. Quil wasn't a great swimmer, like most fire types, learning to swim really wasn't a part of growing up, he struggled to keep his head above the water, thrashing around helplessly. Before the quilava could regain his composure, the politoed had made it's way over to him, coming face to face with the distressed pokemon.

Quil finally saw the full size of the water pokemon, he was the biggest politoed he had ever seen, as he whimpered up to the large pokemon, begging for help. Maybe all of this was just a game, Quil thought, just some sick game that politoed thinks is funny. Quil kept pawing at the water when the politoed grabbed onto him with all of his four paws, holding onto the quilava quite tightly, causing him to wriggle slightly. Quil merely watched as the politoed yanked his stuck tongue off of the fire pokemons fur. Thank goodness, my theory was right, Quil thought, he's going to help me back to land and all will be well. Quil's wishes were quickly broken as the long tongue started to roll around his body, coiling through his fur, licking over his legs and arms. Quil moaned as he felt his fur becoming slick with warm saliva, even submerged in water he could still feel it. The politoed seemed to leave Quil's head till last, pushing through his head fur and lapping at his ears. Quil winced at the treatment, the feeling of slimy saliva being coated onto his body almost unbearable. Quil panted with exhaustion, being submerged in the water for so long had made him weak, if it wasn't for the politoed clinging onto him, he would likely fail at keeping his head above the water.

Politoed took advantage of the quilavas panting, quickly shoving his long slimy tongue into the fire pokemons mouth, making Quilava whine at the intrusion. Quilava gagged as he felt the tongue being shoved down his throat, like some kind of thick wet noodle, giving Quil a sickening taste of the frog pokemon's sickly saliva. The tongue slowly withdrew from quilava, making him groan and pant again. Quil's eyes started to well up with tears, looking up to the politoed once again, his eyes looking more and more emotionless by the second. At that moment, the politoed's mouth started to open up in front of the small quilava, the quivering pink flesh within dripping with strands of saliva. Quil immediately squirmed around in panic, while the politoed simply tightened his grip on the helpless quilava. Quil couldn't help but watch as the maw loomed over him, slowly lowering down towards him, that long tongue rolling out of the maw again, wrapping around the quilava's ears. Then, in one swift movement, the toothless jaws chomped Quil's head, plunging him into the wet darkness, the sound of squishing and squelching resonating in Quil's ears.

Despite being in his weakened state, the Quil tried to thrash with his arms and his legs, the lake water splashing everywhere. The politoed didn't take much notice, as his long tongue wrapped around the quilava's body, pulling more of Quil into his maw. The fire pokemon whimpered as he felt himself easing into the politoed's mouth, his arms getting pinned to his side by the lips, while that horrible tongue seemed to play with his helpless form. Quil could feel the politoed's paws shift around, changing position on him, focusing less on restraining him and more on pushing him into his hungry maw. Quil could feel the paws working in conjunction with the long tongue, even the politoed's hind-paws grasped onto Quil's legs, pushing with those too. As more of Quil slipped into the politoed's maw, the more cramped it became, the politoed's elastic cheeks starting to bulge out with the fire pokemon. By the time Quil's rear paws were the last part sticking out of the politoed's lips, the politoed was no longer holding the quilava with his paws, just that long tongue sticking out of his mouth. Quil kicked lightly with his legs, his effort utterly useless, as the frog tongue tucked up around the last of the quilava. Quil felt the politoed's mouth open up again, light flooding into the dank mouth, before the tongue flicked back into the mouth and the lips sealed Quil from the outside world. Quil made a massive bulge within the politoed's maw, his weak struggles visible from the outside. Quil could really feel the drool covering his body now, slickening up his fur, while the tongue continued to tease him, pushing him around some in the tight space. The politoed remained quite still in the water, despite the wriggles coming from his maw, as he ducked his head back under the water, the only trace that there was ever a quilava or politoed there were a few ripples drifting across the lakes surface.

Beneath the surface now, the politoed was attempting to work his large prey further down into his depths, the throat muscles clenching around the quilava's drenched body tightly. Quil whimpered as he felt the politoed start to take gulps around him, intent on forcing him down into his gullet. The first few swallows didn't seem to do anything, but once one of the gulps slipped Quil's head through into the gullet, each gulp forced more and more of the fire pokemon down, the bulge from the outside easing down into the frog pokemons body. Quil shivered despite the warmth of the pulsing flesh surrounding him, feeling the gulps becoming more rhythmic now, small thrusts sending his exhausted body deeper and deeper down. All that was left in the politoed's mouth was the quilava's legs, they kicked weakly as the long tongue licked over them one last time, before the politoed gulped again, sending them down into the tight gullet. Muffled cries came from the politoed's bulge, as the quilava was squeezed down towards the belly, the politoed continued to gulp in rhythm to get his large prey down. Quil winced as a couple of powerful shoves squeezed his head into the stomach sack, the belly walls already dripping with thick juices. As his front paws were shoved in, Quil lightly pawed at the stomach walls, politoed moaned at the internal rubbing, suddenly gulping hard around the quilava. Quil gasped as his saliva soaked body was fully thrust into the belly, the walls quickly massaging around him, forcing him to curl up into a tight ball of fur. The politoed's belly was grossly swollen, his green skin stretching over his large prey.

The politoed felt no discomfort though, to him, as long as he could get it down and keep it down, the bigger the better. Quil whined as he tried to struggle in the politoed's cramped belly, the politoed squirmed in glee at the feeling of living prey deep inside of him, his stomach excreting more fluids onto his stricken prey. The politoed stroked over his bloated gut, as he felt the quilava's struggles begin to die down, now just a twitching bulge, as his long tongue licked over his lips. Quil panted as he felt the politoed's paws rubbing over his form, the stomach walls dripping more and more on to his fur, the lack of air making him light headed.
"D-Dio... Ryli..." Quil whimpered muffedly, remaining quite still now, "he was right..."

The quilava closed his eyes and soon fell unconscious, his two friends being the last thoughts to pass through his mind. Would things have been different if he'd taken more notice of Ryli's warning? Not that it mattered now, the bad place that the smeargle mentioned was most definitely real and Quil had learned the hard way... the very hard way.
