Versus: Based on Deadliest Warrior
BOBA FETT VS. THE PREDATOR
Once again I have returned to my versus series with another new one. This time, two legendary movie hunters. But which will have the other's head mounted on the wall? Let's introduce them:
BOBA FETT: Star Wars bounty hunter and living legend in certain circles. He is known for his ruthlessness, especially his record: he always brings back the target. He wears the modified armor of ARC troopers, and carries a rocketpack w/ missle launcher, blasters, grapping rope, gauntlet blaster, and flame thrower.
THE PREDATOR: Ruthless and cunning, Predators are trophy hunters who seek out the best prey. They never harm the sick, the eldery, or the pregnent, but anyone else is as good as a trophy. They can only see infrared, and have a deadly array of weapons on their heavy armor, including the Arm Claw, Shoulder-Mounted Plasma Cannon, Throwing Disk, Battle Staff, and Cloaking Device.
ROUND 1: Heavy Weapons (Missle Launcher vs. Plasma Cannon)
WINNER: THE PREDATOR. Both weapons are equally leathal with a wide range of attack and a large area of effect. But while Boba Fett's missle works once, The predator has many shots. His only weakness is he rarely uses this powerful superweapon, favoring personal combat.
ROUND 2: Mid-Range Weapons (Throwing Disk vs. Blasters)
WINNER: BOBA FETT. Having a pair of deadly blasters was one of Jengo Fett's trademarks, and Boba carried on the tradition. A good thing too, the blasters are powerful and effective at mid range, while the disk, despite being powerful and explosive, is unweildly. The Preadator will also have to watch his plasma cannon with these, as a precise blast can disable the weapon.
ROUND 3: Short-Range Weapons (Wrist Blaster vs. Battle Claw)
WINNER: THE PREDATOR. Come on. A wimpy WRIST BLASTER?! The effect it has is less than the standard blaster, and against the predator's armor it would prove worthless. By contrast, the battle claw is very close range, but quite precise. More creatures in the galaxy have met their end at the hands of these brutal and deadly combat implements.
ROUND 4: Special Weapons (Flame Thrower vs. Battle Staff)
WINNER: BOBA FETT. A battle staff looks impressive. It is intimidating, can cut through most anything, and can be thrown as a mid-range weapon. But why worry if you can miss? A flame thrower is superior in this battle not becasue of its area of effect, but because of its OTHER ability: Since the predator sees heat, it would serve as a way to create a blind spot... or a decoy target.
ROUND 5: Other Tools (Grappling Hook vs. Cloaking Device)
WINNER: THE PREDATOR. No real contest here. A good hook and what happens? You just trip him up. But to seem unseen... now that is a deadly skill. But Boba Fett has one final tool to aid him!
ROUND 6: Fett's pack (Rocketpack vs. Infrared vision)
WINNER: THE PREDATOR! Hands down. Considering how unreliable the rocket pack can be, it might have been better if Fett left it at home. Remember, in the movie, it was because the pack was damaged that he met his untimely demise! WIll it be the same here?
THE BATTLE:
The setting is a remote jungle world. Fett has just gotten a bounty on an alien being that has caused a lot of death and destrouction. The pay is high. Boba accpts and leaves the Slave 1 fully ready for what he will find.
But he is unaware that he is already being tracked. His body heat and the heat from his jetpack can be seen by his target: A huge alien being called The Predator. He chuckles to himself at his new, powerful quarry. His head will make a fine trophy. He slowly begins his descent, but his descent is heard by the bounty hunter, and, being a professional, knows about where to fire the rocket in his pack.
The rocket flies toward the predator who gets away, but the damage to his armor reveals his form. "There you are." Fett cries, pulling his blasters and taking aim... but The Predator fires first, shooting his plasma cannon down at the bounty hunter. He barely leaps away from the consessive explosions, but the predator won't let up his fire.
He laughs manaically as he shoots at the bounty hunter, until he finally activates his pack. With no rockets, he will have to close the distance. As he lifts off his pack sets some bushes on fire, and the predator fires at them. Fett sees it and sees his weakness, using a portion of his flamethrower fuel to ignite bushes wile he flies.
The predator shoots at them, unaware none are the hunter. Boba is behind him, blasters drawn, and opens fire. Bt the Predator ducks just in time, a blast severing his shoulder cannon and another damaging his arm. Angered, the predator withdraws his battle staff and throws it. Boba ducks, but the spear impacts his pack and causes it to malfunction, sending him flying toward the trees nearby slamming him into them.
"I'm not getting paid enough..." He mutters, standing. In the flight, he has lost his blasters, and is down to his wrist gauntlet armament inclusing one last flame blast, his grappling, and the wrist blasters. The predator emerges over the cliff, a disk in hand.
"Oh shit." Boba says as the disk is thrown. It misses Boba, but then, he was never the target. The explosion that follows sends boba, trees, and rocks into the air, the Predator laughing at the sight.
But Boba isn't done, as he uses his flamethrower one last time, igniting the ground around the Predator. The flames do their job, and the predator screams in pain, his exposed skin burned in several areas, his armor damaged and overheated. With no option, he removes his helmet, reveling the truly alien features, including his usly four fanged mouth and narrow eyes.
"A face only a mother could love." Boba says, standing up. He is hurt, but still able to fight. "I plan on bringing you in and getting my pay. so better come quietly."
The predator growls and extends his arm blades.
"Figures." Boba says, raising his gauntlet. The predator charges and he fires the grappling hook, the aim true as it wraps around the legs. The Predator trips forward, past Boba, who pulls tight on the strong cord.
"Gotcha." He said, aiming to finish him off. But The predator just yanks on the cord and pulls BOBA off his feet, cutting the puny string that binds his legs. Boba stands and begins to fire with his gauntlet shot... but it does NOTHING, bouncing off of the predators armor.
The alien laughs and, with one swift motion, knocks the bounty hunter off his feet, then plunges the blades into his chest. Under the helmet, his look of pain and shock is frozen, just as the predator does what a jedi did to his father: he removes the head. The Predator holds up the severed head of Boba Fett and screams into the night. This was a hunt to be remembered for years, for his prey was strong... but not strong enough!
WINNER: THE PREDATOR!
In the end it is really no contest. The predator has better armor and better tactics, while Boba fights basically to bring them alive and get paid. He is also hampered by faulty equipment, a lack of a short range melee weapon, and limited ammo on his heavy explosives. If these two ever met, Boba Fett would be a new peice for the predator's collection.Maybe he should have learned a thing or two from Arnold in the first predator movie.

cool story (though in my opinion Boba fett is the better, but then again im a star wars fan boy ;P)
as for another match up...hmmm...how about Goku vs Superman? :D
