Walking down a street at night, the wind it blows so cold.
Shadows creeping out of sight, shaking brittle bones of old.
Beauty that ascends with age, a body so soft and fine.
Blending between heaven and mortals - I hate to walk that thin frail line.
Hair so long it twists like the golden coils of a snake, eyes so blue and pure,
Skin so fair and scented of the flowers that bloom at night - a creature of forgotten lore.
Wings composed of white feathers, a halo once above my head.
Fallen now I am alone, sorrowed stories that remain unsaid.
Rounding another corner I heard a sound, like liquid through a straw.
Curious I leant around and soon put a hand unto widened lips - never will I forget what I once saw.
A man over a woman, her paled head tilted astray, blood running from her punctured throat.
I should have turned, I should have fled, but I stood my ground and took mental note
Of the creature that fed and feast. Silver hair long and fine, horns curled above his ears.
And when he turned to me I saw inside, charm and chaos - the gaze chased away my fear.
Compelled as I was to flee the scene, to wince as the corpse fell to the ground
I waited as he made an approached, never once made a single sound.
A clawed hand as cold as the grave he placed against my warm-rose cheek, blood running down his own.
Wet and fresh like scarlet flame, metallic copper at its best. And when he spoke my heart it melts - I'd never heard such a poetic tone.
Though I thought that this would be the final few breaths I take, he never raised a claw or fang.
In his arms he held me close, head against his silent, hollow breast - I knew my supple form had waked another feeding pang.
His image etched into my mind - skin as white as the moon that night, wearing a satin cloak that shadowed him from common sight.
How his head leant closer over my neck, and how he lingered there with sweet breath upon my skin, longing to take the fatal bite.
A kiss he left upon my cheek and steps he took away
For soon would approach the day.
Since that night I stare at the sky wondering who the nameless demon was because never can I rest.
My dreams are fleeting, my thoughts are heavy - a night to cram the answers before the finals and tests.
Haunted and empty inside, no longer can I wait. So down the stairs my heels fly, towards a soon opened door.
Out the gate and into the night. To search until I cannot no more.
Searching to fill a void left by a nameless one.
Another victim to Darkness's son.

Author's Notes: When it comes to things that go bump in the night, there is one creature above all others that ascends in my imagination and fascination. Vampires and Demons. In the common times these two chaotic and evil creatures have been rendered nothing - a laughter and joke to what they were once defined as. This poem is written in Traditional Rhyme, and is told from the perspective of Maria, my Fallen Angel self, of who encounters Razenith, a handsome one of a kind creature that belongs to Exodus. There is silence but understanding - a spell cast over the angel so that while she is not ended nor fed from, the demon leaves her with a hollowed husk inside. When she can take life no more, when she wishes to find the Nameless One, she sets out to seek him. Little does she know it is all a game, and when the time is right, and her body is no longer resistant to physical or magical influence, the Son of Darkness and the Overlord of Demons, will reveal himself... And feed from her as well. If it is not obvious - I love Razenith's character. He's so dark and smexy
