Jessie has recently turned 18 and is getting ready to go to college when she gets a surprise about her future from an unexpected source: her pretend friend from when she was a child.
This is my first venture into First Person perspective and took a lot of editing work to make it work. Let me know what ya think?
A follow up chapter is planned as well as a prequel as to Inamara's tragic origins.

It actually reminds me a lot of TW's Neko/Vore Campus setting, except with a bit more immediate reforming. Which is a very good thing.

Outfoxed was the original inspiration for Inamara. I just have other interests in the fetish world than Throatwolf does, or at least with my kitsune character.

This was a truly wonderful story to read.
Seeing the sort of connection between a child coming of age to befriend an old companion like a cuddly toy that was so precious to them is just something to melt one's heart. I thought it was lovely <3

A powerful creature watching a girl silently ever since she was an infant, pretending to be her best friend yet only intending to eat her to gain power and sexual pleasure. It looks like Inamara ended up finding she had great affection for Jessie, and decided to preserve her spirit somehow (what exactly happened at the end?), though, so the ending was reassuring.

Mmmmm, I like how you put it. And yes, that ending needs some editing work elsewhere to explain it better. Well and there is technically a part two to this story to help explain a few other things.
What happened at the end is what always happens in RP's with Inamara, but I assumed too many things so a couple things were lost in translation. So it is back to editing (I will not explain why/how outside of a story or editing has no meaning). When I have finished with editing I may just PM you to ask your opinion then >_>

If Kazuki's and my stories inspired this, then we're certainly doing something right.
Very nicely done. I loved every bit of it. The pacing was perfect, drawing out the anticipation exactly the right length. I think this is my favorite story of yours yet.

At the time I wrote this all I had was the single snapshot of "what if you found out your childhood pretend friend wasn't so pretend?" I have been RP'ing Inamara in recent months and have doodled some about her origins, but as of right now, no plans on continuing this story as there is no inspiration for what happens next.
And, thank you. Nice to get an ego stroke a while after posting the story ^^

It's a good thing I favorited this; every few months I find it again just browsing through and feel compelled to read it again.
Sincerely hope that you find the inspiration to write part two of this eventually. It's just too good to not hope for.

*chuckles* You just described how I annually reread the works of Throatwolf, the original inspiration for Inamara :))
Though the writing of more/a second part for this is complicated, adding more to this would require a rewrite of this first. I've learned so much more about writing, things I wanted for this story/scene, etc..
I just hope the rewriting it would not ruin it for you and others that enjoyed this.
Mostly Jessie's reactions to Inamara's "declaration" of she was hers now, going to eat her, etc., would need major redoing. Not that she would have to dragged kicking and screaming, beaten down, or anything like that, lol. But she sure as hell would go a whole lot less "happily" and need more convincing/coaxing until the fun parts came and she realized the potential fun parts of being a kitsune playtoy *chuckles*

If the rest of your writing is any indication (regardless of time period), then I'd not mind that one little bit.
That said, would it really need to be re-written that badly? Jessie, despite her own mild reservations in this version, is still obviously (to the reader) heavily influenced by Inamara's desires and wishes even at a young age. That conditioning wasn't for nothing after all!
