According to the commissioner, this was Shampoo getting revenge on Ranma for eating a special victory meal. I have no explanation why poor pen pen got roped in other then simply for pure humour value :P.

Actually, the commissioner specifically used her for the fact that she can change from boy to girl with water temps poured on her/him. So shes not dead right there, not really in much pain the way i draw things either, more uncomfortable (I joke I make girls out of clay, or rubber, no internal organs, can be inflated, etc). But she eventually will "die" at the end, be eaten, then dumped in water to resurrect her the way its envisioned. Check the comic I did on here of her, its a continuation of that theme. The commissioner specifically hated the idea of "permanent death/suffering."

That's kind of how I visualize it in role play, too, though I use fairies and angels. Makes it a lot easier to make stuff up. =P

My personal view is it doesn't really matter too much cause the character will just pop up in another of my pictures later on :P. I eventually just got tired of making new excuses or plots after and focus on the scene, I may blow up Raven one day, and within two weeks its almost guaranteed I'll be drawing her boobs again. Guess the best comparison is that, what was it called, think it was "fable" or "fairy tales" comic, with goldilocks being unkillable as long as people like her story enough.
