Lilly, V, and Caris take their leave of the island and Firion to return to town. V's teleportation gets them there quickly, but the Gardevoir strikes off on her own almost immediately on arrival. She wants to buy Lilly a gift to cheer her up- but how will she get the money required?
After all that drama/angst in the previous chapter, it felt really good to just focus on the silliest member of the trio for a bit. Her personality rubbed off on the narration, a bit. It was fun to do!
Plot point, though, tucked into the end. What's the story with V's original trainer? Well... That's something for another day.

While this starts off with the trio,it quickly disperses to one...V.
You have to give her credit...she has a goal in mind and will do anything to accomplish it!:D
And then the ending made me go..."awwwww"...the sad one.:/

Wait...
Wait. Something just clicked. Is...is LILY'S weird tendencies...the fact she's got those horrid cravings...did what happen to her...did anything similar happen to V? Because Gardevoir's type shouldn't be eating meat any more than Lily should be...not that ANY of them should be eating people but you get the idea...

Good eye. Of course, I can't out and say anything without spoiling plot points, but. I agree, a normal Gardevoir would not have V's eating habits. I've dropped hints here and there, but the truth should explain a lot of things.

Oh the beautiful melodies! What sonorous symphony he heard! Like trumpets and drums, all playing a melody he craved. Raíz couldn't help but laugh, laugh as loud as he could, for a long as he could. Eventually he did stop, and all there was left was just a Jacket...one stained but desirable. Was it all worth it?
