(Sketch-a-Day, Day 1)

...in her hands, She's got the whole world in her hands! Sing with me!

Ahem. So *MichaelCrichlow has put together a month project to draw a sketch every day for the month of September. I feel like I don't post here regularly enough, and that I don't post things that I draw off the top of my head, so I thought I would kill two birds with one stone and give things a shot. ^^

So what better way to start the month than a ridiculously huge giantess?

I settled on this to start because it plays with two things that I wanted to work on: perspective, and hands. For the hand I went to Posemaniacs and browsed until I found the reference I wanted, and actually drew the hand first (well, sort of. I blocked out Sammi's skeleton here first, if you want me to be exact.)

The other thing, perspective, I feel like needs a bit more work. I wanted to give the impression that we're looking up from below her and the Earth. I don't think it looks quite right, though... maybe something to come back to later in the month.
