I liked the part with Scuff and Pike a lot. They're a funny bunch. There needs to be more stories with them. And the idea with the Prey exchange is funny as well.

Having a biologist inside scuff's stomach as he goes about hunting his usual prey in order to observe his feeding habits first hand. Something of that sort or similar to your story abou Todd where you got hit in the face by a sea lion. I have to admid I like your shark preds a lot and I guess they need some nommings.
