Zair is desperate. He needs this one job to go right - it's the last chance for his beloved Faseera. But it could be tricky, for this is the mysterious Sehria, the Golden Lady. Who knows what surprises a young thief might find in her private quarters?

I'm personally a huge fan of the way Sehria snapped after Zair's threat. It was as if even though she knew that the situation was completely under her control, he was totally helpless, and his threat was most likely an empty one, for just one second, he actually got to her.

That is one thing I tend to give all my predators: despite their total power, their inhuman strength and intellect and control, they all have an achilles heel of sorts - something that really gets to them. Glad you liked it.

The two of you.... just.... awesome.
The play of emotions in this... as LN says, Sehria's anger after Zair's threat, Zair's alternations between rage and sorrow... there is so much power in the way you described them. It's compelling.

...You know what? I don't think I'm done with Zair. Last night, just before I went to sleep, I had a really, really, REALLY good idea for a stand-alone non-vore story involving Zair.
And I think I'm gonna write it.

Oh, this piece. I remember when we finished it, I read it through, and I actually did cry. I walked into the kitchen, sat down, and cried. I'm delighted it can provoke such an emotional response in others.
I think I can guess which parts were so sad, though, and Zair was written entirely by LN. Kudos should go to him, really. Thank you very much!
