Dee, the amputee rat-girl, is on a resort station for some 'gee-time' at her doctor's order, and bumps into a pair of old friends there. It's not long before the old friends find themselves in trouble and only the logical fuzzy rodent herself can get them out of it.

This 13k word story takes place in the (furry) New Attica Trope - for those of you (like me) who really don't know, it's basically a futuristic realism setting, Earth is still the war-torn habitat it is today and many people have moved up into space, living under different rules/laws and governments. The trope however obeys conventional physics, fringe science is still fringey and made up fiction is still fiction, dropping a crowbar from orbit is just as destructive as dropping a nuke, and lack of space and safety has reduced much of crime and petty religious/philosophical/political/moral debates to a simple game of stealing a rock from one another.
